About: I've taken care of pets, ranging from puppies to senior dogs, for about a decade now. I love helping fellow members of the community with their pet sitting needs and pride myself on compassionate care for pets to make them feel like their owner is still there with them. I am an effective communicator, responsible, and accountable individual. I look forward to helping you feel both secure about and fulfilled with your pet's care! I have just recently completed my time at Appalachian State as a student athlete and, as I am wrapping up my graduate degree, have very few in-person classes. I love spending my time on walks and have plenty of free time to spend keeping your pet company and exercised. I have my own vehicle and can make many visits a day at any time needed. I have experience with walking and caring for dogs that have a wide range of needs. I am able to care for dogs that are not friendly with other dogs, dogs that love making friends with other dogs, dogs that have a bit of a rough past, dogs that pull, elderly or physically challenged dogs that can't walk for too long, and dogs that can walk for hours and hours. I love all cats, whether antisocial or absolutely crazy, or anything in between! No matter what the personality of your pet, I will do my absolute best to make sure that they feel all of the love I have to offer so that they don't miss a beat while you're gone!
About: I have two family dogs of my own ages 8 and 7. Beyond caring for these two, I have walked a golden retriever occasionally for a while and assisted with neighbor care of other dogs. I am currently a full time employee, but beyond my work I am more than happy to come play and walk your fur baby! While I work a traditional 8-5, I am happy to come by on my lunch break and after work. I am happy to bring your dog around town for a good walk. I am also happy to just walk them in your neighborhood and play with your dog for extended time depending on the day of the week.
“I highly recommend Emerson. She walked my one-year-old Golden Retriever Jackson 3x a day for a week. When she came for her initial visit, I could immediately tell she was an animal lover and would treat Jackson as if he were her own dog. I also instantly saw how comfortable and confident she was walking a larger, energetic puppy – she had complete control. Throughout the week, she was incredibly prompt, professional and reliable. She gave regular, detailed and fun updates throughout the week. I could not recommend her more highly.”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life. While I have had my own dog for the last 4 years, most of my friends have had dogs since their early 20's. And, I have always thoroughly enjoyed watching them on and off throughout the years. Dogs bring me an incredible amount of joy. I feel very passionate about making sure that any dog in my care is well taken care of and happy. Dogs deserve to get back all the love they give to us! I'm currently working from home and have a lot of flexibility. It would be easy for me to drop in for a visit or take your dog for a walk. I have a small fenced in yard and a friendly dog that loves company. I also live in a walkable neighborhood near several parks and hiking trails. I ensure multiple walks/hikes a day, play time, good food, and lots of snuggles (if they're in to that).
About: I have had pets all of my life so they are no stranger to me, and I have taken care of my neighbors pets for the past years. I am a division 1 runner at Appalachian state university for the cross country and track team. So I would say I’m pretty accountable. I am currently not working any other jobs so pet care fits very easily into my schedule and routine throughout the day and weeks for me. I have fenced in yard, and for exercise and for walks my pet is always on a leash when I take him for walks in the neighborhood.
About: I am a patient and kind pet sitter. I’ve trained and owned multiple breeds of dogs in my personal life. I currently have two cats who are the most precious to me. My senior dog passed away recently after 15 years with me and I miss having a dog companion. I’ll give your dogs the same love and kindness I did with my beloved pup. I work from home as a software developer Monday-Friday so I have great flexibility when it comes to caring for your pets and home. Since I don’t need to leave for work, your pets won’t be left alone for long hours. I will take care of your home and pets as they were my own. I’ll ask that you give me as much information as possible in regards to your pets daily routine. I like to provide the most normalcy for your animals while you’re away to ease any anxiety.

About: I have grown up taking care of many different dogs in all shapes and sizes! I used to walk my neighbors’ dogs when I was a kid, and the past couple years I have loved going to the Watauga Humane Society to take some shelter dogs on walks. I have my own dog that has very specific needs so I am also accustomed to more high maintenance pups. I love meeting new friendly dogs and have experience caring for young puppies, more senior dogs, and everything in between! I currently work part time and am available four days of the week! I can do mid-morning through evenings Sunday-Wednesday. I can do drop-in visits as well as dog walks! I have one dog and two cats at home! All my animals have free rein of the house, and one of my cats is an escape artist so I am always watchful of doors in case he decides to make a run for it. All of the animals are indoor only, with my dog going outside to play and use the bathroom regularly.

I treat every pet as if they were my own, with their safety and well being as my top priority. I'm happy to take your pets on walks, play with them, provide updates with photos and videos, and handle any other care they need. All I ask is that you share a detailed, step by step routine for your pet so I can follow it exactly, whether that means an 8 a.m. walk, a specific feeding schedule, or special instructions. I’m here to make your life easier and keep your pets happy and comfortable while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry companions! I’m looking for a part time position while I’m in school! I am mostly free throughout the week and so if you need someone to watch your furry friend for multiple days I am available! Depending on your pets personality depends on my care! If you have an energetic dog or cat who loves to play, or enjoys a walk then I can proved that. “Devan was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend her. She walked my dog and gave her as much love as I do. I appreciated the pics as well. She is very flexible, dependable and responsible. My dog Beauty loves her. It really takes a lot of stress out of trying to juggle a busy schedule and not having to worry about “how I’m going to walk my dog ” on a day when I need to be away from home for longer hours than normal. Devan is close by, she can walk my dog and I have peace of mind knowing my dog will be walked, fed and comfortable when I return home. That’s what’s most important to me. I will continue to use her in the future! Thanks ?”
