About: I’ve had dogs since I was 5 years old. I have experience with both small and large breeds. It will be all love and play that your furbaby won’t even notice you’re gone! I work full time on weekdays (11am-6pm), with a 30 min commute, and am available early mornings and evenings. On weekends I am free almost all day. I have a dog at home and cannot care for more at my place due to limited space. I am happy to care for others at their home.
“Christopher is a true dog lover and I feel fortunate to have found him to take care of my pack whenever I’m not around. I have a lot of attendant anxiety when trying to pair my dogs with a suitable sitter- for no other reason than that they need a lot of exercise and ask for a lot of attention. Christopher alleviated every ounce of attendant stress experienced by leaving my dogs in someone’s care. He took my dogs on outings, updated me with charming photos and was completely unflappable when it came to managing two high energy and young labs along with a corgi who needs to herd everyone to feel fulfilled. On top of all of this, Christopher took excellent care of my home- maybe even leaving it cleaner than I did for him. 5 stars for Christopher, absolutely!”

“Lacey is amazing!! She sent so many pictures while I was gone, which I really appreciated and my dogs were very happy to have her! Thank you Lacey. I will definitely book again ?”

“Julia, was the best fur baby sitter yet! Our dog Lola absolutely ❤️❤️❤️’s her so much! She gives her the happy Dance, butt wiggle, groans of joy! Our cat, gives her kisses and Julia, gives us lots of updates with photos and all. We will definitely be booking with her again. You should too!”
“Dorothy was amazing! She was so helpful with the animals and helping with medications as well as sending updated photos a few times a day. Great communication and very friendly and warm. She also left the house spotless and as clean as I left it! Absolutely would rehire!”
“My husband and I loved Michaela taking care of our two corgis. She has dog magic that's for sure! We had just moved from out state, and our dogs were stressed of course from all the months of packing and travel. Our older dog is pretty much a couch potato not wanting much activilty at all. The reason I say Michaela has dog magic is because when the dogs met her, they immediately began their wonderful playful dog dance with each other around the house. She sent us videos each day of the dogs and it was delightful to see our older dog so inspired to go out and have some good fun he hasn't felt like in a long time. We love Michaela, our dogs love Michaela! This was our first time having a pet sitter, and she made it wonderful experience for us and the dogs.”

About: I started my dogsitting business out of my home over 6 years abo and now I petsit at people's homes. Animals are more comfortable at their own home I also have been trained as a dog walker at the Sonoma County Animal Shelter and worked at a dog kennel (now closed...Anderson Acres) I'm a personal trainer that teaches people on Zoom so I am at home most of the day. I am an active person that loves walking dogs and own 2 rescues. I only care for animals in the owner's home. I do not board animals in my home. I make sure that all doors/gates are secure so no animal escapes.

“Michele is awesome! She is extremely pleasant and very responsive, her calendar is up to date, and she provided ongoing updates throughout her stay with our dog Bebe. We felt extremely comfortable leaving our home and dog with her and we plan to utilize Michele for ongoing trips.”

“Sarah was incredible with our puppies. She was so down to earth, reliable and knowledgeable with our fur babies. I loved how engaged she was; it was wonderful to relax on our afternoon of wine tasting knowing that our pups were safe and well taken care of❤️”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. Currently, each of my family members is in a transitional stage of life (kids are in college), myself included (contemplating the next chapter), so none of us has any companion animals for the time being. Fostering has filled the gap somewhat and I’ve found that pet & house sitting does, too! I was an at-home wife & mom & spent my adult years homeschooling, volunteering, caretaking through cancer, organizing, and caring for a large home/pool/property &, of course, for our companion animals. I'm not a "neat freak," but I will leave another's home as it was found, or cleaner. I'm compassionate & nurturing by nature, so please feel free to let me know your needs and wishes. My schedule is entirely flexible, with advance notice. For those farther away: I love to travel and appreciate requests to sit in far-off locations; however, I must ask that either 15-30 days notice is provided for making arrangements (& finding affordable flight deals, which I will happily do & pay for, if the location is one I’d have visited anyway) OR that travel be paid for in full by the pet parent as part of the job. (Nightly rates can be adjusted to account for costs such as gas, flights, and/or ground transportation.) Please be mindful that international travel can cost into the thousands of dollars, may require more than 30 days for planning, and is not typically in my own budget. My passport is ready, though! I’m pleased to be being considered for this important job! Please know that I'll be available via phone/text (& trust that you will, too, at least for emergencies), would love to share pics if you wish (or would be happy to limit communication, if that's your preference), am adept at managing minor issues of urgency independently (but will confer with you if at all possible, as soon as possible), and will take seriously any necessary special precautions for the animals or the home (escape artists, meds, anxiety/sleep needs, food limitations, no off-leash time or things like mail/trash, off-limits rooms, a toilet that's out of use, plant handling, etc.). I'm largely a homebody and my primary goals are to be someplace new/different & be with your babies, so I will be present daily, including overnight if that’s what we’ve arranged, and will not host parties or people (unless one or both of my grown kids are with me, which we'll have discussed in advance). I might spend significant time studying if I'm taking a class (most likely online) and I may need to handle some of the tasks of daily life (getting groceries, etc.) during longer stays, but my priority will be to keep the animals and home you've entrusted me with safe, properly cared for, and tidy in your absence. That said, if there are places your buddy(ies) wanna go (trails, beaches, dog parks, obedience classes, the groomer's, etc.), we'll get out of the house and get our energy out! (And if slow/short walks or lots of lap time are what's in order, we'll readily do that, too.)
About: I’ve been taking care of my families puppy and my own kitten for about 2 years now ! Ive taken care of other peoples dogs in the past as well! I’m efficient and competent. Im currently a college student, so I spend most of my time at home and just in general I’m a home body. So, I have enough time to care and tend to pets and their needs. I’m very attentive to my own cat and families dog. They both have feeding schedules and are potty trained. I’ve taken my time to make them good pets. I’ve showed the same amount of attention and affection to other peoples pets as well.
About: I am a person who cares! And I care most when it comes to your pets. My pets are my life and I understand that they are family. As an uber driver, I have a very open schedule and the ability to make frequent stops to check in with babies throughout my day! I would come equipped with a first aid kit and all safety materials. I would assure I had participated in any and all safety trainings available.
About: I've owned at least one pet consistently since I was 5 years old. I was a pre-vet major when I started college, have worked in veterinary offices, volunteered at the humane society and have been pet sitting for years. I absolutely adore animals and love having them around. I work full time from home and share custody of my son and my dog who are with me (about) every other week. Both my dog and my son love animals are are very friendly, kinda and loving to all pets and they both love to play with other dogs! I have a cat at home as well who is dog friendly and sometimes plays with my dog or will hide when not in the mood. Pet care is a daily routine for me. We'd love for your furry friend to join our walks and home for lots of fun and play while you're away! I take great pride in learning what makes your pets the most comfortable while you're away. If you prefer me to stay in your home that is of course the least stressful for your furbaby. If you prefer I host your furbaby(s) at my home, my cat and dog (depending on the time you book) will keep them company and have lots of play time and snuggles! I have a small fenced yard but nearby dog parks and homemade treats! Because I work from home dogs are given daily walks and several opportunities to go to the bathroom outside. If a dog goes to the bathroom in the house repeatedly, a $150 cleaning fee will be added to your booking. I make every effort to work with you and the dog to prevent this but if it continues the fee will be added to your stay.

“DeAnna took great care of our little puppy Chianti while we were out all afternoon/evening at a wedding. She arrived early to make sure she had time to get to know the dog and ask any questions before we left. She also sent us a couple great photo updates throughout the evening. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely reach out to her. Thanks DeAnna!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Aetna Springs
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 890 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Aetna Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Aetna Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Aetna Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Aetna Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Aetna Springs. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
