About: I’ve had a dog my entire life except for a few very lonely months in 2020 after I lost the love of my life, Romey, the naughtiest lab with the best sense of humor. I grew up with labs (mostly ) but now have Gizmo, a labrodoodle , who will soon become BDE (best dog ever) if he can finally learn how to not jump like a kangaroo when he sees his dog friends. I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was young. I’d walk, feed and love on my neighbors and friends pets. I hope I will be the one you call and who you can trust with your furry BFF. Whether you have a long day at work or a weekend vacation, I’ll be there for you! I work part time on the weekends up on the mountain and have lots of time during the week to help out with your dog! I have a fenced in play area in my back yard and crates, dog beds and a designated “dog room” where your pet can relax in solitude or with Gizmo!

Woodland Paws Retreat is my home-based dog boarding business, located on five beautiful wooded acres in a peaceful country setting in Schuyler, Virginia. I proudly serve families in Charlottesville, Crozet, Scottsville, and the surrounding areas. Our spacious, natural surroundings are wonderful for dogs who enjoy fresh air, exploring, walking, running, playing, and simply relaxing in a peaceful environment. Whether your dog is playful or calm, young or senior, confident or a little shy, every dog is welcomed here with love, patience, and personalized attention. I love welcoming dogs into our home and making them feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while they are away from their families. My priority is not only their safety, but also making sure they feel at home and enjoy their stay. When your best friend is in my care, you can relax knowing they are being treated like part of our family. I am currently working from home, so my schedule is flexible, and I have enough time to enjoy taking care of your furry friends giving them love, attention, providing exercise, and tailor each dog unique needs. Our home is surrounded by five beautiful wooded acres, creating a peaceful and private retreat where dogs can enjoy fresh air, exercise, and time in nature. We have plenty of space for dogs to play and exercise, including a large fenced area and a spacious fenced backyard deck. One of the favorite spots at our retreat is our screened balcony overlooking the woods. Dogs love relaxing there, watching birds and wildlife, and enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature. Many simply love to curl up and observe everything happening around them. Inside our home, there is plenty of comfortable space to play, relax, and spend time with us. Some of our guests even enjoy watching Dog TV while keeping us company. Most importantly, every dog receives plenty of individual attention, love, and supervision. I make it a priority to keep communication open with pet parents and send photos and updates throughout the day, so you can see how your best friend is doing. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priorities. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a beloved family member, and I truly appreciate the trust you place in me. My goal is for you to travel with complete peace of mind, knowing your dog is safe, loved, and well cared for.

About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. We don’t have any pets of our own but my three kids (ages 4, 5 & 6) are very active and will play all day with your pet. My sister is a vet at Dominion Animal Hospital so I have immediate access to professional help if needed!

About: I have been the proud momma of four, crazy unique pups of different size and temperament. I traveled overseas with my first pup for 10 years, keeping her safe and healthy all the while, and absolutely believe that dogs and humans have a special connection! EXERCISE/Walks: I'm a runner and hiker, so if your pet needs to get out--call me! There are also dog parks and hiking trails, a stone's throw from my home, and my Bluetick gets walked for at least 3.0 miles daily. BOARDING: I have a fenced-in yard and two dog doors so your pup can go outside whenever they want. My Bluetick is super sweet and is great with other dogs but if they don't speak the same language don't fret, I can crate or separate them with pet gates. Trust that your dog will be loved and kept safe! MEDICATION/Vet appointments: I'm a nurse and have experience administering medicine via injection and orally for my senior dog and am available to drive your pet to medical appointments. I work from home. My weekends are generally open and most mornings I can walk your dog with my own, if the timing works out. I have a fenced-in yard and dog doors so that your pup can get fresh air whenever they want. I have a 6-year-old dog that gets along with most every dog we've met, but if our pets don't speak the same language, there is enough room to isolate them for a time.

About: I am definitely the biggest animal lover you will get to know! For years i’ve cared for and trained a wide range of animals wild and domestic. I’ve also worked in shelters and rescue centers to helped troubled dogs and cats. I have experience handling about every personality type of animal and sizes + quantities. Every animal I meet, I treat with the same love and care as my own fur babies. I cant wait to take care of your beloved furry friends!! I have plenty of time to dedicate to all the lovely animals i work with! Im a full time student in college but only enrolled in online classes so I have a very flexible schedule. I have 3 dogs of my own who I spend most my days with but I have also been fostering many dogs up until now. I can work with crate dogs, big, small, basically anything I am ready to take on. Im by the book so you tell me how you want things done and it’ll be exactly that way.

About: Loving family with little kids interested in loving your doggie! As a family we have many years of experience with having dogs in our home and helping to care for others dogs. We have 5 beautiful, un-fenced, acres where your pup will be free to roam. If necessary we have an outdoor dog run for those needing more structure. While we do not allow dogs in our beds, nor on furniture, we do allow them in our hearts. Our family loves dogs, walking, running, throwing the ball/frisbee, cuddling, and caring for dogs.
