Pet care experience

Work-From-Home Pet Mom - Fenced!

Hello! Thanks for considering me to care for your best bud(s)! I take great pride in creating a safe and loving environment for your pets. General FYI - the Rover search function sorts sitters in a very random, obscure, and constantly changing order, so the numbering in the search list is not reflective of much of anything, not even distance. You can use the filter checkboxes to narrow down to your particular needs (e.g., fenced, no kids, etc.). Hopefully I can help! SNAPSHOT: ** Don't let the distance deter you. I have a great place that is worth the easy drive. ** Fun, safe, clean, air conditioned house on property that I own in Nelson County ** Large fenced (both sunny & shaded) areas for play ** Experienced, attentive, & skilled caretaker, former vet tech ** I work from home, so your pet is always supervised and gets lots of love & attention ** Flexible drop-off & pickup times between 6a - 10p ** You only need to bring food, and I provide the rest ** Daily updates for your family with pics & vids FULL DETAILS: I'm a former vet tech from years ago (so I have animal handling skills, first aid, etc.), but now I do sustainability consulting working from home in Nelson County. Your pal will get so much love and attention!! I own my home on about 5 acres, and a large swath of that is fenced, giving plenty of great space for zooms, lounging in the shade, and fetching. I do have 2 pets already, who are both VERY lovely and friendly. My dog Sylvie is a 5 year old, spayed and vaccinated, Pyrenees/Lab mix and she is exceptionally well-mannered and does very well with all dogs and cats. My cat Finley is much the same, neutered and vaccinated, 3 years old and outgoing, confident and friendly indoor/outdoor cat. I keep a nice home, and can often be found puttering in the garden with my buddies, hiking, or working on some house projects. Please reach out if you need someone to give your pets some extra care! WHAT TO BRING: Due to the necessity of protecting the health and safety of other boarders and my own pets, I have a policy of not accepting animals with active illnesses, infections, parasites, etc. • For all puppies <1.5 years old, I require a NEGATIVE FECAL TEST within at least 1-3 months of your booking for BOTH worms (hookworm, roundworm, whipworm, and tapeworm) as well as parasites Giardia and Coccidia. REMEMBER - testing positive will likely require a cancellation of any booked stays due to the long treatment times for these, so please test early. • Proof of current vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP (digital copies are fine). • Please make sure your dog is treated with flea/tick preventives! Very important. • Your dog’s food • Any special or familiar items to make your dog feel happy WHAT I PROVIDE: • Lots of love and attention, and supervised play • 2 large, secure fenced areas for play and lounging • Clean, comfy dog beds & blankets • Bowls for food and water • Wire Crates (Your dog will sleep inside, uncrated unless crating is needed for puppies or if requested) • A variety of soft chew toys, tennis balls, and even a treat or two (if allowed) Please take some time to fill out your pet's profile completely and honestly, as this helps to make a good match with pet parents and sitters.

Amy is wonderful! Walter had the best time zoomin’ around her big yard and hanging out with her dogs and cat. Amy sent a bunch of videos and pictures, and kept us very informed with how Walter was doing, which was so appreciated! We definitely recommend her!

Amy was absolutely amazing with our sweet Kit! 🐾 She accommodated all of our needs without any questions or issues and made Kit feel right at home with so much love and affection. We especially loved the daily photos, videos, and updates—they gave us peace of mind and made us feel like we knew exactly how she was doing while we were away. The best part? Our little Kit didn’t even want to leave! 😂 We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be coming back to Amy. We highly recommend her! ❤️

Amy took care of our pup, Oscar, for The first time this week. We seldom board him. But after doing a meet and greet with Amy, we all felt good about boarding him for a couple of nights while we traveled. Amy too great care of Oscar and he seemed to fit in well with her pups and her cat. We heartily recommend Amy. So does Oscar.

Amy was the BEST at taking care of my Cora girl! I was nervous if I could find someone that would take care of my girl how I would, but I did and I’m so thankful for her!

Wow! This experience couldn't have been better! First off, Amy is kind, professional, and clearly loves what she does! From the meet and greet to the first weekend stay, everything went perfectly. Mac immediately felt safe, happy, and at home - and I can tell he did because Amy sent plenty of photos and videos to give me that assurance. Mac fell in love with her too right away and made some dog friends! Mac and I found our new go-to! PS - if you live a little farther out, it's so worth the drive.
