“Jess is awesome- she is so friendly and kind! My cat loved her! She accommodated a last minute request AND offered to run my dishwasher on her way out. Would recommend Jess to anyone in the area!”

“Sarah has been so great with our two kitties and is super communicative and flexible! We are so grateful to have found a local sitter.”

“Abbey is amazing!! She checked in on our kitty every day during a 9 trip, and we felt so at ease knowing she was taking such good care of our home and cat. She had incredible communication while we were away and went above and beyond for our cat. She came ahead of time to meet us, often stayed longer with our kitty than we had booked, sent tons of pics, and even went out to buy litter when it ran out while we were away. I cannot reccomend her highly enough- thank you!”

“Shannon is great! Kept great care of our cats and house while we were away. Will definitely have her back when we go away on our next trip. Thanks Shannon!!”

“Izzy was awesome! Friendly, great communication, punctual, and sweet with our cats! Thank you Izzy (and sorry for the late rating!) ?”

“Kadyona was dependable and easy to communicate with. She took care of my two cats over five visits. My cats enjoyed having someone to spend time with them and give attention and playtime.”

About: Hi, I’m Miranda! I’ve been caring for pets for 15+ years, whether that’s dogs, cats, rabbits… even a bearded dragon or two. I share my home with a very clever Aussie (Pippin!) and a small cat queen named Eleanor. I have experience working with reactive dogs, senior pets, and administering medication to cats and dogs. Whether your buddy needs eye drops, pills, or just a slow, structured routine, I’m patient, calm, and happy to help. 🌱 I use force-free, reward-based methods (in conjunction with clicker training, if desired). I move at your dog’s pace whether we’re building confidence with a new puppy, burning off energy on a weekend hike, or keeping things lowkey for a mellow senior. I believe in meeting each animal with gentleness, curiosity, and a sense of humor because let’s be honest… pets are weird and wonderful, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 😌 I offer: - Dog walks on evenings, or all day Sat-Mon - Dog boarding in my home on weekends 🏠 - Weekend hiking adventures for dogs who love to move 🌲 - Pet sitting for cats 💕 Whether your pet is anxious, high-energy, or just needs someone who respects their routine (and quirks!), I’m here for them and for you! ✨ Big dogs, small cats, and everything in between. I work in an office 4 days a week, so am available in the evenings + nights Tuesday-Friday for walks, drop in pet sitting, and anything else I can help with. My weekends, Friday night through Monday night, are open for hanging out with pet pals— whether that looks like a half hour walk around the neighborhood, a long hike nearby, pet sitting for cats, or boarding at my place for dogs. In my home: Dogs staying at my home get lots of attention, supervised outdoor time, and a cozy environment. I have a large yard (unfenced, so we use 50ft long lines to ensure security + freedom), go on multiple walks a day (with or without my dog Pippin), and sometimes go on weekend hikes if your dog is cool with car rides or if specifically requested. I keep a consistent routine, offer safe enrichment activities, and always prioritize your dog’s comfort and well-being. In your home: When caring for cats (or other pets) in your home, I respect your space and routines. I keep things tailored to your pet’s needs, whether that’s playtime, medication, or just some chill companionship. I’ll always communicate clearly and provide regular updates so you can relax knowing they’re safe and cared for. 💕

About: I've been taking care of pets (cats, dogs, and rabbits) my entire life. One of my career highlights was working at the Philadelphia Zoo. Granted, I was working as a puppeteer, but I love being around animals every day. I currently have two beloved cats of my own, and I'm excited to meet your pets! I'm also a freelance puppeteer and writer - so when I'm between projects I have a very flexible schedule and will be happy to take care of your pets! I pride myself on being good with animals, love winning them over, and am a very empathic person. While I love a friendly creature, I'm also good at giving animals space if they're shy around new people, etc.

“Wow, what a treat it was to find Stephanie as a catsitter for my 2 cats! She was wonderful with my cats and very dependable! I would not hesitate to have her watch and care for my fur babies again! Thank you, Stephanie! ❤️😺😺❤️”

About: Hi there! I’m an elementary school teacher looking for a fun summer gig. I would love to walk your dog or check in on your cat while you’re away. Proud owner of 2 chihuahuas, but have previously owned big dogs too. Thanks for considering! I have lots of availability this summer being on summer break! I could give your dog a walk, or check in your cat. Mornings, afternoons, or evenings! I would defer to you as to what safety looks like (harness, leash, collar, etc). My two dogs have name tag collars, and leashes. I have walked dogs with harnesses as well. Sometimes I need a little instruction as to how to put it on (some designs are tricky!), but in the end I always figure it out!

“We could not have asked for a better cat sitter for our two girls! Rory answered our last minute request for cat care after our usual sitter fell through, then took the time and dedication to drop in and visit them twice a day. Not only did she see to their basic needs, she went above and beyond to play with them to ensure they were not bored or lonely while we were away. Not to mention the adorable and sometime hilarious pictures she sent everyday! I would recommend Rory to anyone looking for a pet sitter. 11/10! 😊”

“Volha was an ideal pet sitter- easy to communicate with, and I felt secure that my kitten was in good hands while we were away for two nights! Highly recommend”

About: I have owned a Yellow Lab my entire life and have been responsible for taking care of him. I have also provided care for pets of my neighbors and others in my community. I have experience taking care of both cats and dogs. I love spending time with animals! I’m currently in school so I have plenty of time to provide pet care in the morning and in the afternoon/evening. I am also free all day on the weekends. I am a very clean and respectful person who would treat and respect your home as if it were my own. Before the visit, please feel free to let me know of your expectations regarding your house and/or pet.

“Morgan did a great job taking care of our kitties while we were away. She was able to coax our cat into taking his daily pill and updated us with pictures and a note! We will definitely have her cat sit our cats again next time we are out of town 👍🏻”

“Holly was exceptional. I have an 18-year-old cat who requires 4-5 meds twice a day on a pretty strict schedule. So it is definitely stressful to leave town sometimes. Holly was communicative, thorough and ensured my baby was well taken care of. I fully trusted her and it gave me incredible peace of mind when I was away. I absolutely will be booking with her again and would recommend her to anyone who needs pet care.”

About: When I was growing up my family always had dogs and cats. After I went off to college I adopted a cat named Louie from the local shelter. He just passed away recently at the age of 19. I am missing having a cat around and would love to look after your cat when you’re away. I also have two dogs (I have a senior shepherd mix and a 1.5 year old lab mix). My dogs are my priority so I can’t commit to overnights but with my days free this summer I am available for dog walking, house sitting and cat sitting. I work full-time during the school year but I have the summers off with plenty of free time to spend cuddling with some cats. I’d love to do dog sitting as well but am not sure I can commit to overnights as I have my own two dogs at home who need me but I’m open for daily support such as walks or feeding during the owners’ work hours. My dogs use a long lead out back and aren’t left unsupervised for long. When my cat was alive he had his own separate space away from the dogs as well as easier access to food, water and litter as he was arthritic.

“Karin was great with my cat and dog! Prompt communication and very reliable, would highly recommend.”

“I was really nervous about leaving my 18 year old cat with someone else but Ariel put me completely at ease. She was so kind and caring with my cat and completely comfortable administering medication and following special feeding instructions. She also sent me great pictures of my pet each day and was very communicative about how things were going. When I arrived home my cat was content and well cared for. I would highly recommend her for any pet care situation. Thank you Ariel”

“Bella and Cameron were very attentive and responsible pet sitters and they were so good at drawing out our shy cat! We loved the cute photos from them playing with her!”

About: I am a very experienced pet owner in Montpelier - I have owned and loved alpacas, dogs, goats, cats, and backyard birds of all kinds. I have also done foster care of kittens and cats for CVHS. I'm available to provide a fun and loving spot to board your dogs. They will get attention, care, walks, and playtime with my 3 dogs. I have a crate if needed, can be one level if mobility is an issue, am willing to administer meds and have no problem with puppies or senior pets. I am home all afternoon and evening and weekends and dogs get a lunchtime walk as well. I am available for boarding all of the time, but only showed weekends because that’s when I am home all day and evening. During the week dogs would still get a morning and lunchtime walk and care all afternoon and evening. I will send updates and photos throughout your dogs time with us - I am also available to pick up and drop off dogs for an additional fee. I work in Montpelier until 3:00 pm so pets get exercise in the afternoons and weekends, and dogs get a lunchtime walk as well. I am around all of the time on weekends and school breaks and all summer. Our house has many dog beds, crates, toys and treats. We live on many acres and dogs can be on or off leash, depending on needs. I also take dogs to local trails to walk and socialize.

Miranda H.
“Miranda is a wonder! She has great energy and our full-sized wheatendoodle has never been so engaged with another person. Miranda not only took him on long walks at parks and on trails, she made the walks challenging and interesting. Finn loves their time together and Miranda was so good at communicating with us and connecting with Finn that we asked her to keep him during our last vacation. Game changer. She followed our instructions about his eating schedule, gave him plenty of exercise, and kept us updated throughout our holiday. Finnigan is high energy and constantly challenging authority. He is a lot for most people…even his daycare folks, so it was refreshing to see Miranda with our sweet fur baby. Her calm authority and mindfulness with Finn makes leaving him with her one of our best decisions. He gets extra socialization and exercise when I have to work on weekends and I don’t feel bad because I know he’s with Miranda. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“As an elementary schoolteacher, Claire has the patience of a saint. She demonstrates that same kindness and generosity in her interactions with her dogs and ours. Our dog is not always quick to warm up to people but he is great with Claire! He sits on her lap and happily lets her harness and walk him. Our dog is our “baby” and Claire treats him with the same love and care. She is a wonderful person and I can’t recommend her highly enough.”

Melissa always shows the utmost care for her dogs when walking, assuring that the course is accessible, that the dogs have appropriate tools for the weather (vests for the cold, etc.), and that their needs for safety and water are always met. Melissa is also simply a dog lover, which shows through her friendly interactions with all dogs we encounter on our walks. Melissa would be a great carer for your pet.”
