“This was our second and third time using Natalie to watch our pets. We've had no issues and always appreciate the care she provides them. She keeps us up to date and communication has always been a breeze.”

“Anastasia did a great job of watching my dog Butters. He has Cushing’s disease and requires a little extra care. She did a great job of making sure he had his medication when he was supposed to, which I totally appreciate. She was very communicative and sent me pictures a few times a day so I could see that he was happy and doing well with her. I will absolutely book her again when I need a sitter for my dog.”

“Our three dogs with very different needs can be a lot to manage (a rambunctious 18 month old, a five year old, and an elder dog in significant decline), and Adriana took great care of all of them simultaneously. She asks the right questions and communicates clearly and quickly to resolve anything that comes up. We could not be happier with how she works with us and cares for Maddie, Olaf, and Otter.”

“Tommy was amazing and exceeded all expectations! Our pups were very happy and cared for when returned and Tommy sent many updates with pictures while we were away. I would highly recommend and am excited to work with Tommy again!”

“Amber took great care of Archer while we were gone for 12 days! Our house looked exactly as we left it when we returned and Archer appeared well loved. We would absolutely use Amber again in the future!”

“Yelitza was a top-notch, superb dog sitter through and through! She is a lovely person and took such great care of our doggies and home. Our pups loved her, and she sent frequent lovely updates. Highly recommended!”

About: I have 6+ years of taking care of my 2 jack Russell’s, neighbors dogs + cats in 3 different states and my boyfriends parents 2 cats (1 disabled). Promptly giving medicine to those animals in need for specific time, and patience tending to their attentions and needs. I work full time remote M-Thursday 8am-4pm with an hour and half lunch break each day. I work 3x a week part time on site and can be flexible as needed. I have a high energy dog (Jack Russell) that requires a lot of assertiveness and strict use of instruction. But at the same time requires rewards and playtime. I love to care for animals, but also care about the safety of myself, and owners property always keeping that at a #1 priority of my surroundings and the pets safety and better interest of the owner.
“Elizabeth did an amazing job with our dog at our wedding allowing him to be involved and us to focus on the big day. Could not recommend more. It was such a pleasure to have you on our big day!”

About: I’ve had cats since 2018 and got Lincoln my dog during the 2020 year. He and I went on many trips including up five mountains. I am openly available, especially on weekends. Weekdays work the best for me especially in afternoons and evenings. As I am on break from school my schedule is open. I have a fenced in yard and live on a cul de sac allowing for dogs to have safe supervised environment to play and relax. Cats are kept inside and can be moved if necessary.
About: Hey there. I’m probably new to your town as I am an ICU Travel nurse. I dreamed of something like this app and now the dream has come true. I love dogs and cats. Owned them since I was 12. I love working towards earning their trust and bond. And they pretty much pick me as their favorite person in the household. When I would travel and have roommates, their cats and/or dogs would choose to sleep on my bed rather than their owners. The owners would appreciate me as their furry baby’s awesome uncle. The owner would have to lift the pet off my bed and lock them in their own room to sleep and cuddle with at night. I work well with furry babies because I understand and respect them. I have no ego. No agenda. Other than working mindfully towards creating a loving and playful bond. I’m very patient and respect the individual furry family member for their uniqueness. I understand Pavlovian conditioning and ethology. I don’t ever ever ever never hit or discipline pets ever. That is stupid and unproductive. Rewarding proper behavior with treats or pets is the way to go. Furry babies love me and choose me because I fulfill their needs and understand what they do and dont like. Cats dont like to be picked up or touched in vulnerable/threatening locations. So I don’t, even though of course I’d love to hold them and squeeze them with love in a selfish manner. I meet them and form relationships with them on their terms. Not my own selfish terms. I should add I don’t mind getting scratched or bit by cats or dogs. They can’t linguistically speak. So their biting and scratching is their way of communicating their needs. Needless to say, I’m relatively tech savy and will meet your needs as the owner too. Through updates, pics, and prompt communication. Peoples’ furry babies are sacred. I treat it as such. It would be an honor and a dream to participate in their lives, even if it is for a short time in a different city as a travel nurse. So if I’m around the neighborhood and free, it would be great to connect to you and your furry family member and be their cool uncle. Again. Travel nurse. Will update schedule. But it varies week to week. I may work days or nights. But I’ll update my schedule. And hopefully I’m available. As a travel nurse, I’m limited to walking pets and visiting other people’s homes. I used to do home infusions as a nurse. So I’m pretty comfortable entering a person’s temple and maintaining the sanctity of their homes. People and pets love me. It’s good to be me.
“Aimee was absolutely amazing with my 4 mastiffs. I received photos and videos from her as well as daily contact. I highly recommend her, she made traveling to Greece for 10 days very relaxing because I knew my babies were in expert hands. Highly recommend her, and I will hire her again !”

About: I have 3 years of experience taking care of cats and dogs of a variety of breeds, and have worked with puppies as well as older pets in home environments such as suburbs, cities, and rural areas. I am happy to cater to your pet's special needs, and I focus on respecting each pet's boundaries and getting to know them on a case by case basis, with the hope that they grow to trust me as much as they trust you! Since I am a writer who works remotely, I am open on a weekly basis and am able to be flexible in order to meet your scheduling requirements. I work hard to ensure that your pet's personal boundaries are not crossed while we take time to get to know each other. I especially care about learning their preferences in order to earn their favor and eventually their trust. Depending on each pet, I try to be very sensitive to any shifts in their mood or behavior, such as if they get anxiety when left alone or are afraid of loud weather.

“Sarah was amazing while dog sitting and house sitting for us. Ajax is a great dog but can be a little needy with attention so she took great care of him with walks and attention every day. Not to mention we had several house snafus while she stayed which she handled so professionally on our behalf! Thank you Sarah!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 315 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Abell Corners. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Abell Corners walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Abell Corners maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Abell Corners choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
