We were hesitant to try Rover because we had never left our cat Louie with anyone besides family members but our plans for kitten care fell through shortly before a long-planned trip so we decided to try it. We found Lex and she went above and beyond taking care of our little cat. We also left during an intense cold snap and winter storm, but that didn’t stop Lex from checking in on Louie and our house multiple times a day. It was not just reassuring to know Louie was being taken care of but that our house was staying warm in the storm. Lex sent photos and videos of Louie and was very communicative with us. About: I have been taking care of dogs for 8 years! Walks, drop-in play dates, feeding, and overnight stays. I love dogs and cats but travel too much to have my own. I can't wait to give your pet all the care and attention he or she needs while you are away. I am a remote worker and can provide pet care in the mornings, during the lunch break, and evenings during the work week and anytime on the weekends. I will follow any guidelines set by the pet owner for pet care in their home. I am not currently providing pet care in my home.

Our dog is now elderly and Anya was willing to come over before our last trip so we could show her how to put him in his wheelcart for walks and discuss his new routine. She had no concern about taking care of a higher-need dog. In addition to taking great care of our pet she treats our house well, too. It is always cleaner than when we left. Also, she has never canceled caring for our pet so we have been able to relax knowing that she will be there and take care of everything while we are away. Ava has been our dogsitter, house sitter and baby sitter on multiple occasions and I have to say - we have never had any issues or challenges with her. She is a clear, reliable communicator and is able to follow directions to a T. Our dogs and baby have pretty specific needs, and Ava was always able to handle those with no issues. The most important piece to us - she treats our home with respect and leaves no trace. I am a wedding photographer and have a very flexible schedule! If you happen to book me on a day when I have a wedding, I’ll make sure to work it out where your pet is not left too long while I am away. I’ll come to your pet and make sure they feel comfortable in their own home while you’re away. If they love other animals, I’ll introduce them to my golden retriever and go on some fun adventures!
