Exceptional care for our animals! Meghan went above and beyond for our 19 year dog and highly needy cat. She provided thorough updates and recommendations to help our elderly dog and sat with them to keep them company not because we asked but out of the kindness she has. She played with, pet, and loved our animals as if they were her own! We will recommend her to everyone we know, she is fantastic!

About: I started out with animal care by cleaning horse stalls when I was 15. Which included feeding and watering. I used to work at ZooMontana where I took care of the education ambassadors. I now work with large carnivores. I have two days off a week and can come and go as needed. I can come over early for potty breaks, during my lunch and in the evening. I do not currently offer pet sitting in my home. But can travel to you! I'm pretty flexible on traveling as long as it's in the valley.

About: About Me Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I lost my beloved dog a year ago, and while I’m not ready to bring another dog into my family yet, I deeply miss having a four-legged companion beside me on my walks and hikes. I already spend a lot of time outside walking and hiking around the Flathead Valley — so I’d love to bring your dog along. I’m a mom, longtime dog owner and animal lover, and I understand that every dog is different. Some dogs need a relaxed sniff-around-the-neighborhood walk. Others need to MOVE. I’m happy doing both. My goal isn’t simply to get your dog outside long enough to check a box. I want them to come home happy, exercised and ready for a very good nap. 🐾 30-Minute Neighborhood Walk — $20 Perfect for a midday break, potty time, fresh air and exercise. We’ll spend the appointment walking in your neighborhood or another appropriate area close to home, with plenty of time to sniff, explore and stretch those legs. I’ll send you an update and photos so you know exactly how your dog did. 🥾 60-Minute Adventure Walk — $38 For dogs who need more than a trip around the block. Depending on your location, your dog’s temperament and fitness, weather and trail conditions, our hour may include a neighborhood power walk or transportation to a nearby dog-friendly trail for a mini hiking adventure. If you live close to places like Lone Pine or another suitable trail, I’m happy to spend part of our hour getting your dog somewhere genuinely fun to explore. Transportation during an Adventure Walk is included within the booked 60 minutes when we agree on a nearby destination in advance. This is especially great for active dogs who need real physical and mental stimulation. My Service Area I intentionally keep my service area relatively small so I’m spending my time with your dog rather than driving all over the valley. If you’re roughly within a 15-minute drive of me, you’re probably within my regular service area. What You Can Expect Your dog’s safety comes first. Before our first walk, I want to know about your dog’s personality, leash behavior, recall, triggers, medical needs, favorite things and anything else that helps me understand them. For trail adventures, I’ll also make sure we’re a good match before heading out together. And yes — expect pictures. ❤️ I know what it’s like to love a dog like a member of your family. When your dog is with me, I’ll treat them that way. I have a flexible schedule and am available for dog walks, longer adventure walks, and cat drop-in visits throughout the week. I’m already an active walker and hiker, so getting outside with dogs fits naturally into my routine. I intentionally keep my service area fairly small so I can spend more time caring for your pets and less time driving. I’m available for both regular weekly clients and occasional care when you’re traveling or simply need an extra hand. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. For dog walks, I’ll learn about your dog’s leash behavior, temperament, triggers, energy level and any medical or behavioral needs before we head out. For longer Adventure Walks, we can discuss whether your dog is a good fit for a nearby dog-friendly trail and agree on the outing beforehand. I’ll always keep dogs securely leashed unless we have specifically discussed otherwise. For cats and other in-home visits, I carefully follow your feeding, medication, litter and household instructions and make sure doors and windows are secure before I leave. I understand that some pets want lots of attention while others need space and patience, so I let each animal set the pace. Whether I’m taking your dog for a neighborhood walk, heading out for a trail adventure, or spending time with your cat at home, I’ll treat your pet like I would my own and send you photos and updates so you know exactly how they’re doing.

About: I have over 5 years of experience providing dependable dog sitting, pet care, and house sitting services. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, including puppies and senior pets. My responsibilities have included feeding, walking, bathing, administering basic care, maintaining routines, and ensuring homes stay clean, safe, and secure while owners are away. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would my own. I work PRN with a local hospital , which allows me to make my own schedule, and I’m a full-time online student who can complete coursework anywhere. This flexibility means I’m able to provide consistent attention, maintain routines, and be present for pets and homes throughout the day, including overnight stays. I care for pets in their homes as if they were my own. I stick closely to their usual routines, making sure they’re fed on time, exercised, played with, and given lots of love and attention. About: Passionate Dog Trainer/Walker Ready to go on Adventures Hello there! My name is Zoro, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as your friendly neighborhood dog trainer/walker. With a heart full of love for all our furry friends, I cannot wait to embark on exciting adventures with your beloved canine companion. My journey as a dog walker began years ago when I discovered my deep-rooted connection with animals. Growing up surrounded by pets, I quickly realized that spending time with dogs brought me unparalleled joy and fulfillment. From that moment on, I knew that my purpose in life was to provide exceptional care and support to our four-legged friends. When it comes to my dog walking philosophy, I believe in nurturing not only physical well-being but also emotional happiness for our furry pals. My primary goal is to create a safe and stimulating environment where dogs can thrive, explore, and have an absolute ball during our walks together. With an innate understanding of canine behavior, I am adept at tailoring my approach to cater to the unique needs and personalities of each dog I encounter. Whether it's a high-energy pooch who craves a vigorous run in the park or a more mellow companion who prefers a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood, I am committed to providing a customized experience that leaves their tail wagging with joy. Safety is my top priority, and you can rest assured that your furry friend will be in capable hands under my care. I am well-versed in canine first aid and CPR, and I maintain a keen eye for potential hazards during our outings. I am also experienced in handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments, ensuring that even the most timid or boisterous canines feel secure and comfortable throughout our walks. In addition to the physical exercise aspect, I strongly believe in the power of mental stimulation for dogs. I incorporate engaging activities, such as interactive games and puzzle toys, to keep their minds sharp and active. Whether it's sniffing out hidden treats or practicing basic obedience commands, I'm always on the lookout for opportunities to make our time together both fun and mentally enriching. Above all, I strive to build trusting relationships not only with the dogs I walk but also with their human companions. Open and transparent communication is key to providing the best care possible, and I am always available to discuss any concerns, requests, or special instructions you may have. Your dog's well-being and happiness are of utmost importance to me, and I am committed to going the extra mile to ensure their needs are met. So, if you're searching for a dog walker who combines boundless enthusiasm, unwavering dedication, and a genuine love for dogs, look no further! Let's join forces and embark on a tail-wagging adventure together. Contact me today, and let's schedule a meet-and-greet to see if I'm the perfect fit for your four-legged friend. Together, we'll create pawsome memories that will last a lifetime! I work from anywhere I have mostly answer phone calls for my business. Which gives me time to take care of dogs. Train them and take them on adventures. When it comes to caring for pets in either my home or my client's home, I ensure that their well-being, safety, and comfort are my top priorities. The specific care provided may vary depending on the service I offer, so let's delve into both scenarios: Caring for pets in my home: If I offer services where pets stay with me, I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment that replicates a home-like atmosphere. Here's how I care for pets in my home: 1. Comfortable accommodations: I provide a cozy space for pets to relax, ensuring they have a comfortable bed or a designated area where they can unwind. 2. Regular feeding and hydration: I adhere to the feeding schedule provided by the pet owner and make sure fresh water is readily available at all times. Special dietary needs or medication administration will be strictly followed as instructed. 3. Exercise and playtime: I engage pets in stimulating activities tailored to their energy levels and preferences. Whether it's playing fetch, going for walks, or enjoying interactive toys, I ensure they receive the exercise and mental stimulation they require. 4. Regular potty breaks and hygiene: I maintain a consistent bathroom schedule, taking pets outside for potty breaks. I also provide regular grooming, including brushing, bathing, and nail trims, if necessary. 5. Safety and supervision: I create a secure environment, free from potential hazards, and monitor pets closely to ensure their safety at all times. I supervise their interactions with other pets, if applicable, to ensure a peaceful and harmonious environment. Caring for pets in the client's home: If I offer services where I visit the client's home to care for their pets, my approach revolves around maintaining their routine and surroundings. Here's how I care for pets in their own homes: 1. Adhering to routines: I strive to follow the established routines provided by the pet owner, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions for their care. 2. Feeding and medication administration: I ensure pets receive their meals according to the provided schedule and administer any necessary medications as instructed. 3. Exercise and enrichment: I engage pets in physical activities tailored to their needs, whether it's going for walks, playing in the yard, or engaging in interactive play. I also provide mental stimulation through puzzles, toys, and positive reinforcement training. 4. Maintaining cleanliness: I keep the pet's living areas clean and tidy, including regular litter box cleaning for cats or ensuring a clean outdoor space for dogs. 5. Security and well-being: I make sure the home is secure during my visits, ensuring doors and windows are properly closed and locked. I also keep a watchful eye for any potential signs of distress or health issues in the pets and report any concerns to the owner promptly. Overall, my goal is to provide a loving and attentive environment, whether in my home or the client's home, ensuring that pets feel safe, happy, and well-cared for in every possible way.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Somers. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
