“Amber was quick to respond to initial request, scheduled a meet and greet and took care of our dog all within a week’s notice. As first time Rover customers, Amber exceeded all of our wishes for our dog’s care.”
3. Matthew S.
About: First, it was cats. I had cats underfoot in my home from childhood well into adulthood. That translates into years of experience caring for cats, and approximately one metric ton of kitty litter scooped. Then I became an adopted dog father when I moved in with my partner and their dog, who we’ll call “Lady.” I was a remote worker, so I got to spend just about all day, every day with Lady until her passing in 2021 at the age of 12. Since then, I’ve kept dogs and cats in my life by caring for the pets of my fellow community members as if they were my very own. I have a reasonably flexible schedule, but good communication and coordination is important, especially in the winter. Weather and/or other hazardous conditions can impact my ability to provide services. Before our first engagement, I will meet with you to learn about things like: * Your ground rules for me when interacting with your pets, or anything else in/on your property. * If applicable, how to safely enter and exit your home and/or property. * Your preferred walk routes, dog parks, and other activities involving outdoor exercise. * Day-to-day care. Meal times, potty routine, etc. We all know that pets can have an uncanny sense of time. It helps me to have a general idea of what your pet might be expecting, and when.

About: I’ve always had well behaved dogs and cats. Currently we have two dogs, a 2 1/2 year old rescued lab mix and a senior pug mix. We also have some other animals, 4 indoor cats, 6 outdoor cats, chickens that free range, ducks and rabbits. When I was in high school and junior high I walked dogs after school and in the summers I house and dog sat this included dogs with strict diets, training routines and all activity levels. I make my own work schedule so I can work around you! I currently spend most of my time working on or from my property. We have a large yard for long leashed fetch with local hiking trails connected to the property for daily walks. The house has a large gated porch with a pond view that our pups can spend the whole day looking at but it also connects to small fenced yard area. For indoor space we have a spare bedroom and all different size crates. Well behaved pups will also be aloud in the main living area. All animals are different I want to be respectful of your pets needs and provide them comfort and fun distractions while they eagerly await your return.

“Thanks Aley! Great job”
6. Margaret K.
“It is my pleasure to let you know about Margaret's love for animals. She has cared for and nutured my pets over the years. Minnie , my current dog is sweet and also very active. It is assuring to know that my pet caregiver has the energy to keep up with her. Margaret is also very intuitive. My pup is not very verbal when it comes to her needs. Minnie speaks with her eyes. Margaret has learned what each expression means. I have watched her with her pets and other along the way. I can say she is a kindred spirit.”
7. Jillian C.
“We feel fortunate to have Jillian care for our cat when we are out of town. Her communication has been excellent and she seems to truly enjoy the time she spends with him.”

About: i currently work at a doggy daycare and have experience with many breeds of dogs and i’ve been an owner of multiple cats over the years. Friends and family have trusted me to watch their pets while they’ve been away as well. I’m currently working full time but i get out earlier some days and have others off. When i’m not at work my schedule is very flexible. I can understand how to take care of your fur babies every need and make sure they’re comfortable and happy until you come back! I can take them for walks, follow eating schedules, and make sure their routine stays as normal as possible.
9. Tamara M.
“On several occasions I have used Tam for my Aussie/chow rescue. My dog is a fussy eater and takes his time getting to know people. Tam has given him loving compassionate care and I would highly recommend her for your dog. He seemed quite content and well cared for. The last time Tam came, she also had to care for my daughters high energy one-year old golden retriever. Tam was very comfortable with the care of two dogs and the high energy needs of the puppy.”

“Chris is great. Very playful and attentive. My dog loves him!”
12. Brandy V.
“Brandy has provided excellent kitty care for several of our cats over the years, as we are frequent business travelers. We have gratefully left our pets and house-sitting duties for the past 7 years in Brandy’s capable hands. She’s a lifelong animal-lover and is an affectionate and attentive “auntie” to our pets - providing playtime & snuggle time, as desired. She’s great with pups & multi-pet house-sitting , too - performing these duties for other friends in our circle. My husband and I gladly recommend her to our friends- and to you.”
13. Amber D.
“We’ve had Amber drop in on a few separate occasions now and have had a great experience each time. She’s been attentive to both dogs behaviors and makes sure to check in with questions or concerns. I have a peace of mind when Amber visits if I’ll be away from home for an extended time during the day. Based on the photos, the dogs definitely have a great time with her too!”
14. Julia W.
“Julia did a great job taking care of my cat while I was gone. Everything was clean and Misty was alive and well. Thanks Julia!”
15. Julia B.
“Julia was great. She helped out greatly on short notice and made herself available. It can be a bit chaotic with 4 dogs, but she handled herself and my clan well. It was nice getting the pics during her visit. During our meet and greet she really took to the boys and they seemed comfortable with her, especially my big boy, Clyde. I hope she’d help again if we needed. Thanks so much Julia!”
16. Janina M.
“Janina worked at Camp Bow Wow (premier doggy day care facility) for a short amount of time but demonstrated immense growth and passion during her time with us. Her experience and gentle spirit will make her a great caretaker for your pet.”

18. Deb L.
“Deb stepped in when we were out of town and our dog sitter got sick and couldn't care for our dogs. She left us wonderful updates after each visit filled with information and photos. 19. Carol O.
“Carol took Nora while we went to the botanical garden. She played with her and kept her safe so we could enjoy our time in the gardens. I wish we could take her with us every time we travel ?”

About: I've wanted a dog since as long as I knew they existed but never had the resources to have one of my own. So when I was 12 I got my first dog-walking job and I never looked back! Though I've never had my own dog, I've had the privilege to care for numerous furry friends, of various sizes and personalities, including Doyle the Catahoula Leopard dog we fostered. I moved to Brattleboro in September 2019 and had to leave my 2 cats, Nibbles and Tricks at home. Now do to housing rules I cannot have my own pet which is why I am so excited to take care of yours! I am a student at New England Center for Circus Arts and spend my weekdays there, but I can care for your pets in the morning, evening and during my lunch break at noon. I can give your pet even more attention on weekends! I travel a lot but when I am in town I have a very flexible routine that can mold to the needs of your pet! I am unfortunately unable to care for pets in my own home, but well I am at your home, I ensure your pet is kept safely and out of trouble!
