About: I’ve always lived in a home with cats, dogs, lizards, birds occasionally, and have always loved spending time near any creature. I took on responsibility for animals as a child, walking and playing with our dogs and cleaning up after the cats. As I got older, I took on opportunities to dog and house sit so I could spend more time with animals. Once I moved to Seattle for college, I’ve been trusted with watching dogs for friends when they were out of town. I currently work a non traditional schedule, with my days off mondays-wednesdays so I’m very available those days. Also, I work on weekends so anytime someone is out of town for a weekend, I will still be here to help out! I have a fairly large two bedroom apartment right near a park and within walking distance to greenlake, so would very easily be able to take dogs around. My cat, Stevie, is a sweetheart and would keep anyone company. If, for some reason, animals have a disagreement, I have the room to give everyone some space apart and calm down

“Melissa took great care of our kittens while we were gone. She fed them their raw food and picked up after they got into things (as kittens do). They both seemed to respond well to her and were happy to see her and play with her. Would happily re-book in the future.”
