About: I had 2-3 dogs my entire life growing up. Still around dogs from friends and family. Comfortable giving insulin and other medications if needed. Looking forward to getting to watch and love your fur baby! I have two 10 year old cats. One is diabetic and gets insulin twice a day. We clean the cat box everyday and make sure the water dispenser always has water. I give lots of love and play with them. My cats love the toys on a stick. My mom’s dog and other family dogs love playing tug war with me.

“There are people who like animals and then there are people who have animal connections. Kari is the later. She speaks their language. She is the most kind and intuitive human and I have never seen her unable to connect to all different animals. Dogs, cats, horses, gerbils, she loves them all. She has cared for my dog many times. My dog, Lucy, is very shy and anxious. You have to be gentle and patient with her. She tends not to eat when we are not there. Kari sits with her until she is comfortable and waits for her to eat before she leaves. She takes her on long walks to help her get some anxiety and energy out of her system. As per my instructions she left Lucy outside one afternoon and then we had an unexpected rain shower. She went back to my house in order to bring Lucy inside. Kari was drenched but she would not leave Lucy outside in the rain even though Lucy was dry and safe under our awning. Your dog is in good and capable hands with Kari.”

About: My family is proud to have adopted several dogs from local shelters and make them a part of our family. When our Ziggy (Golden Retriever) passed away in 2017 after 9 years, we picked up Loki (a black lab mix) and he's bringing us joy on a daily basis. Since I moved away to start medical school, I have been looking for ways to connect with animals, and this has included going to visit friends with dogs and cats, and is also the reason I've signed up with Rover! I look forward to meeting your lovely pets, and to working with you! The best options for me will be dog-walking or house-sitting considering my school schedule, but mornings/evenings would probably work best for me. However, I don't have a set schedule, so there is possible availability at any time during the day, depending on what mandatory events I need to attend. I am unable to care for pets in my home but I am happy to house-sit. I can ensure that your pet is getting the proper amount of water, food, exercise, rest, and attention for the entire time I am booked.

“Whitney has dog sat for me weekly for years and my dog loves spending time with her. She is extremely responsible and has good energy that dogs really enjoy. She is concerned about safety, with a lot of experience hiking in remote areas as well as staying safe in the city during urban walks. She has experience with large dogs and also dogs who are not social with other dogs and does well with both. I would recommend her highly as a pet sitter for anyone who needs one. I have been lucky to have her!”
