“Christie was the absolute best dog sitter. She arranged a meet and greet before our trip. She texted when she was on her way to confirm her arrival. I received daily pictures and check ins and my house was left in perfect condition. She even washed dog textiles before we arrived home. Plus a last minute illness for one of our pups was no problem. She administered meds like the professional she is. We will use her again.”

About: Always have been round animals. Learned young to let them come to u ; never force an animal to do anything. Always treat with respect. Always give attention back when give you attention. Always make sure they have food and water. Clean and groom them. They need to treated as family. As if their your children. Fostered many dogs and cats that were strays, dropped off in neighborhood, or kittens or puppies that were left put in cold. Im a caregiver for work, so I treat animals the way I treat my clients. Friendly, outgoing, love the outdoors type of person. Took several kittens and mom on camping vacation once cause had no one to take care of them. If I had a farm; WOW!! It wud be great!!! Pet care fits into my everyday routine. I have multiple animals I take care of on a daily basis. Animals and outdoors are a priority. Have plenty of property for them to run and play. Plenty of room to walk and see nature.Great exercise for me, animals and great nature.
About: I have cared for animals for as long as I can remember and am excited to begin my journey on Rover! I have experience pet sitting for friends, family, neighbors, and clients, and I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I especially enjoy caring for active, energetic dogs and making sure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I also have experience administering medications and caring for puppies who need extra patience, supervision, and consistency. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, or sticking to your pet’s routine, I am dedicated to treating every animal as if they were my own. I also have an English Cocker Spaniel named Ollie, who reminds me every day how important quality care and love are for our furry family members. 🐾 As a college student currently on break, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. This allows me to provide attentive care, regular walks, playtime, feedings, medication administration, and companionship throughout the day while keeping your pet’s routine consistent. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and routines. I have experience caring for puppies, administering medications, and handling energetic dogs. I treat every pet as if they were my own and provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing they’re in good hands. 🐾🐶🐱
“All I can say is Gad is awesome.we just completed a two week trip and Gad took care of our fur babies while we were gone . Our dogs loved him and he spent a lot of time with them. They are both senior dogs and need a lot of care . Pills twice a day etc… and Gad went over and beyond expectations. One of my dogs wasn’t eating for a couple of days and Gad even bought him chicken and grilled it on the grill for him . Well needless to say my dog ate . Gad is very respectful and very responsible. I would highly recommended Gad .”

About: I have been around animals since the day i was born, ranging from simple house pets to farm animals to rodents! In high school I attended a veterinary school where I learned all kinds of information about all kinds of pets. There is not an animal in this world I do not love! I have a very open schedule, so I can spend as much time as needed on all the fur babies! My cats get specific care given every day such as feedings, enrichment and love! I have two cats of my own that I treat like literal human beings, proper pet care is extremely important to me. All animals deserve respect regardless of breed or behaviors!
“Blakely is fantastic! She came for a meet/great with our dog who loved her instantly. She has great communication, followed through with everything I asked and left our home near and tidy. I’m so glad to have her as a sitter for our girl!”

About: I’ve stayed in houses caring for multiple pets such as dogs and cats. One home had 5 dogs, 2 whom were blind, and all puppies used pads to use the restroom. All puppies had a specific eating regimen that I had no problem taking notes on and catering to. I’ve dropped in to feed cats, but being a cat mom myself, I do not mind spending quality time with the kitties! I’m a middle school teacher, so pet sitting is reserved for after school hours, during Fall, Winter, and/or Summer breaks. I’m flexible and communicate often and quickly! For my personal cats, I spoil them like crazy! They have all of the toys they could ask for and I play with them often. I can tell when they’re ready to cuddle and relax, and I love this time! They take a nap on my lap and I get to crochet! I love on others pets the same way. If there’s a treat station and a favorite toy, let me know so I can spoil the clients pets too! I’ve watched plenty of older pets who just need a companion to sit on the couch with them, so I always bring my crochet things to fill the time.
“Jennifer was absolutely great with our dogs. She sent photos everyday of the dogs having fun. I can’t recommend her enough. Even after we got home, our dogs were looking for her.”

“Gavin took amazing care of not only our house, but our senior cat, Baby, who does require a level of additional care for her meds. Gavin was able and willing to help with that, but also handled everything she threw at him. I'd happily have him back to watch our home and kitty. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’ve been blessed to love and care for pups of all ages — from energetic puppies who need patience and structure, to sweet senior dogs who need a little extra gentleness and attention. Growing up around dogs taught me more than just the basics of feeding and walking. It taught me how to read their body language, understand their different personalities, and recognize when they need comfort, space, playtime, or reassurance. Every dog is different, and I truly respect that. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby. They’re family. My goal is always to make them feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. Whether that means long walks, play sessions, sticking closely to their routine, or just quiet cuddles on the couch, I’m happy to meet them where they are. Your dog won’t just be watched — they’ll be cared for with patience, kindness, and genuine love. As a stay-at-home dog mom, I’m home the majority of the time, which allows me to be fully present and flexible for your fur babies. My schedule is very open, so I’m available most days and times to provide attentive, loving care. Because I’m not juggling a full-time job outside of the home, your pet won’t be left alone and will receive consistent supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. I truly enjoy being home and caring for animals, so pet sitting fits naturally into my daily routine and allows me to give each dog the time, patience, and attention they deserve. 🐶💛 When caring for pets in my home, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where they feel comfortable and secure. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible — including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walk times, medications, and bedtime habits — because I know consistency helps reduce stress. Pets in my care receive plenty of supervision, affection, playtime, and rest. Since I stay home, they’re rarely left alone and always have someone nearby to make them feel safe and cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the owner’s space. I make sure feeding instructions, walk schedules, medications, and any special care needs are followed exactly as requested. I keep things tidy, provide regular updates with photos, and make sure your pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment. My goal in either setting is the same — to treat your fur baby like family and give you peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I’ve always been around animals and have always loved them! I approach very gently and bring snacks or treats as long as it’s allowed and no allergies, toys of course, walks to parks if allowed, to pools, I just love spoiling pets in the best ways they can be! If you need me to put any medication or give anything I can do that for you! I work full time but am able to take as much time to walk pets or run any errands I need to, I’m in car sales so it’s pretty lenient, any time off I’m available to do anything I just clean at home or hangout with my Godchild and best friend! Making sure anything is put away that can be broken or torn; I always call it baby proofing the house because if it’s baby proofed it’s pet proof, as long as no baby toys are around lol. In my home; I separate my kittens from the other pets and assure they get along first and let them smell any of their toys or anything that has their scent and vise versa to get them accustomed to the other animal
“I highly recommend Jordan! She went above and beyond. She texted updates and pictures everyday. Even surprised our dog with a goodie bag. Took him for some walks. He started to not eat good and she went and got him something she thought would entice him with our approval. We are very particular who watches our dog. We definitely will seek Jordan out again. Thank you again Jordan!”
“Cara was amazing with my 11 month old golden puppy. She followed all the instructions and used to send pupdates everyday. Also while leaving on the last night she made sure the place is clean and things are in place. She stayed with him for about 20 days and was the reason we were able to enjoy our holiday. She’s a perfect choice as she treats every pet as her own”

FAQs for House Sitting - Zion Hill
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 171 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Zion Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Zion Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Zion Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Zion Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
