“Gavin took amazing care of not only our house, but our senior cat, Baby, who does require a level of additional care for her meds. Gavin was able and willing to help with that, but also handled everything she threw at him. I'd happily have him back to watch our home and kitty. Highly recommend.”

“We are so happy to have found Sydney. She was able to accommodate a late notice request and was the perfect choice for our fur kids. One of them is a recently adopted rescue, and he is still a challenge on several fronts. She is patient and loving and confident in her interactions with him. It is so nice to have the boys comfortable in their own home while knowing someone is looking after them who cares as much as we do. We will absolutely work with her again.”

About: Hi! I’m Ashlee, a lifelong animal lover with over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I understand that pets are family. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, overnight care, drop-in visits, medication administration, or simply extra love and attention while you’re away, I provide dependable and compassionate care tailored to their unique needs. I have experience caring for energetic puppies, senior pets, shy cats, multi-pet households, and pets with special routines. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you peace of mind knowing they are in caring and capable hands. I pride myself on being reliable, attentive, and communicative. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can stay connected with your furry family members while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and treating them like one of my own! Stay at home Mom with brownish kids that care for themselves 😂 we have a pretty regular schedule Monday through Friday and do sporting events on weekends. We are usually home otherwise. When you leave your pet in my care, you’re not just hiring a pet sitter—you’re choosing someone who genuinely understands the trust you’re placing in them. With over 30 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, I know that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I believe pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply maintaining their regular routine, I provide attentive, personalized care that helps reduce stress while you’re away. I am dependable, patient, and detail-oriented, and I understand the importance of following feeding schedules, administering medications when needed, and recognizing changes in behavior that may require attention. Communication is also a top priority for me, so you’ll receive regular updates, photos, and messages, giving you peace of mind that your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where your pet feels secure and you feel confident knowing they’re in capable hands.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’ve been blessed to love and care for pups of all ages — from energetic puppies who need patience and structure, to sweet senior dogs who need a little extra gentleness and attention. Growing up around dogs taught me more than just the basics of feeding and walking. It taught me how to read their body language, understand their different personalities, and recognize when they need comfort, space, playtime, or reassurance. Every dog is different, and I truly respect that. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby. They’re family. My goal is always to make them feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. Whether that means long walks, play sessions, sticking closely to their routine, or just quiet cuddles on the couch, I’m happy to meet them where they are. Your dog won’t just be watched — they’ll be cared for with patience, kindness, and genuine love. As a stay-at-home dog mom, I’m home the majority of the time, which allows me to be fully present and flexible for your fur babies. My schedule is very open, so I’m available most days and times to provide attentive, loving care. Because I’m not juggling a full-time job outside of the home, your pet won’t be left alone and will receive consistent supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. I truly enjoy being home and caring for animals, so pet sitting fits naturally into my daily routine and allows me to give each dog the time, patience, and attention they deserve. 🐶💛 When caring for pets in my home, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where they feel comfortable and secure. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible — including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walk times, medications, and bedtime habits — because I know consistency helps reduce stress. Pets in my care receive plenty of supervision, affection, playtime, and rest. Since I stay home, they’re rarely left alone and always have someone nearby to make them feel safe and cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the owner’s space. I make sure feeding instructions, walk schedules, medications, and any special care needs are followed exactly as requested. I keep things tidy, provide regular updates with photos, and make sure your pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment. My goal in either setting is the same — to treat your fur baby like family and give you peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I am a happily employed veterinary assistant! I am willing to walk, sit, stay, and roll over with your cats and dogs. With my experience in veterinary care, I am able to see signs of any sort of potential separation anxiety or sickness and will help keep them calm and comfortable while you’re away. I have two cats and a rabbit, but I feel plenty comfortable caring for all kinds of creatures! I look forward to meeting you and your beautiful family members! I currently have a full time job at a local animal hospital! I would be able to stop by and care for your babies before and after work, with a possibility of visiting on my lunch break based on distance. I love to stimulate fur-kiddos physically and mentally by taking them on walks, playing with them, and letting them explore all of the neighborhood smells. I will be able to spot the signs of discomfort quickly and act efficiently if needed. Although I plan to just cuddle your pets while you’re away to keep them warm for ya!

I'm very familiar with caring for senior dogs and any special needs they might need. I'm very comfortable administering any medication and sticking to a strict schedule because I know how important it is from personal experience. If you're pet has a quirky habit or need, I'm your gal, no request is too odd! Pets are an extension of the family so I know it can be so heartbreaking to leave them behind for a trip or work and I want to provide the comfort and peace of mind when they stay with me. I have lots of kisses to give and I love animals of any size! I am available all week and most all weekends. I have on my calendar that I'm unavailable on Sundays but if you are going away on a trip and need me for Sundays, message me and we can work something out! When sitting for your pet and home, I am very respectable and will care for them like my own. I will make sure the home is secure and keep anything away from your pets that could be harmful. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 182 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Christian Bend. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Christian Bend walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Christian Bend maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Christian Bend choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
