I work 12 hour night shifts I and needed someone to let my dog out for a pee break around 11pm. She also takes great care of my cats when I’m away for the weekend. It gives me great peace of mind to leave my pets in her care!”

“Simply said, Tara is the BEST! We were out of town for over a week and she provided excellent care for our cat, Jeter. Not only did she care and play with Jeter, she was also gracious enough to feed the feral neighborhood cat, Raya, who we provided outside housing on our deck for the cold winter months. We received daily photos which we totally loved including Tara’s fun comments and great humor! We would highly recommend her services and will not hesitate to request her again for future travel. I now know why she is a Star Sitter!! My husband and I, along with our cat, Jeter, has made a very special friend! 🤩🐈⬛❤️”

About: I love animals! I’ve had dogs since I was kid. I’m used to taking care of young and old dogs because I’ve had both! Raised mine since she was was puppy and now she’s a senior and not as active so I’m looking to take care of other pets since I’m not as busy. I work during the mornings so I have a flexible schedule. I am available to walk your dogs between 12pm-8pm and boarding starts at 2pm I have a small fenced yard and a friendly senior dog to keep your pup company. They’ll have air condition in the house and free to go out back whenever.

About: I have a deep love for dogs of all breeds and would be thrilled to care for your furry friend while you’re away. With a lifetime of experience as a dog owner, I currently have three Airedales. Over the years, I’ve completed numerous obedience classes with my dogs, and I’m skilled at applying that knowledge to provide quality care. I’m experienced in raising puppies, including training basic commands, potty training, and leash walking. My one-year-old is even competing in dock diving and barn hunting, which highlights my commitment to providing enriching experiences for dogs. I also have extensive experience caring for senior dogs, as my 11-year-old pup requires regular medical attention. In addition, I’m skilled in bathing and grooming, having always groomed my own dogs. I even have a grooming table, so your dog will receive top-notch care if required. As a stay-at-home mom with older adult kids and a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to walk, play with, or house-sit for your pups with all the attention they deserve. For your peace of mind, I’ll always walk your dog on a leash. If you have a fenced yard, we can enjoy a fun game of fetch. And if your pup needs to be crated when I leave, rest assured they’ll be content and happily exhausted after all the playtime!

About: Hello 👋 Since I could walk I fell in love with working in the animal field. As a little girl I would follow my grandfather around his farm to help with the pigs, chickens and donkey. As a teenager I would feed and look after stray cats in the neighborhood. Due to my love for animals, my father turned part of his garage into a safe haven for strays. Currently I live in Wadsworth caring for my own and foster cats. Since I can only have cats in my rental, I treat family/friends dogs as my own by frequent visits and taking them out to the beach or hikes. I also used to volunteer at a local animal control by feeding, walking and doing some basic training with dogs. Currently work as a receptionist/ assistant at an animal hospital. When I’m not working, I’m finding additional ways to help with animals, like pet sitting, rescues or animal control. I am trained to administer medications- oral, injections and fluids. At home I currently have 7 cats of my own and 4 fosters. I have a spare room that separates certain fosters and my own, but they all get equal time to come out of their rooms and get attention. I also have crates incase of an emergency fosters.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for over 13 years. I have 6 dogs of my own who are well cared for and get all of my love and attention. Dogs to me are like children who need to be well kept. I do my best to keep your fur friends happy as can be along with their owners. I do not discriminate against any breeds. I love and care for any animals as if they were all the same. I believe in quality service and I strongly recommend a person like me for the job. Things will get done Professionally and correctly. If any one has any questions or concerns I am free and willing to answer any of them at any time of the day. I am currently a college graduate looking for some extra side cash to save up for law school. I am currently a school bus driver for special needs children Monday through Friday. I have prior dog care experience. I my self care for six of my own dogs. I do not discriminate against size or breed of one’s animal. I quite honestly find joy in interacting with animals, it puts a smile on my face like no other job could.

About: I have a love for animals, if you're thinking I'm sure everyone says that but for me it's so true. Not only do I love caring for pets. I've even helped my neighborhood with feral cats and getting them the help the deserve. Look up on Facebook Winthrop Harbor Wild Cats! What does that mean for you? I'm passionate about caring for animals means I will love on and treat your special friend just as you would! My work is flexible and mostly at home. I like to go on walks daily which would fit perfectly for any pup looking for exercise! We have a large yard for easy potty breaks. I have two young children that wear out anyone willing to play. We have a medium crate if needed and a full basement with playroom.

“Julia is great!! Our dog loves her and she’s super dependable.”

About: As you probably saw from the headline, I have recently started to dog sit for friends and family... And it just turns out that I enjoy it. Granted, these dogs are well behaved, and have been raised well. I grew up with parakeets, and I still have them. I like most pet animals, and I want to continue to learn more about how to best take care of them. As I am still learning how best to take care of dogs, it is important to me that we would do a meet and greet before deciding if we are a good fit for each other. I am not a dog trainer by any means, so please be understanding of that, and please be realistic. I am here to hopefully walk or sit for your dog, and I will always do it to the best of my ability - but I will need to be shown how you do things with your dog, and what to expect. As an example, the first dog I sat for had a tendency to dart towards the front door of the house I watched, so I had to be extra careful when going in and out of the house. As a bird owner, I check on them before work, and multiple times after work. When I have sat for dogs, I will feed them in the morning and walk them before work. After work, I would walk them again, as well as check on their water and food. The dog I am sitting for next (which is a family member's dog), I will kennel him at night, as well as when I am going to work. This is at the owner's request. Same idea on schedule for walking him before and after work as well. I am not a host, so this will depend on how your house is setup, as well as if the dog is used to the routine. For a more specific example though... When I sat for a friend's dog recently, I let him sleep on the same bed as me, which was a very new experience. (Would you believe that it tried to climb in my sleeping bag, too?) I did this for the comfort of the dog, even though it wasn't something that would have been my preference. I also made sure to check and top off his water and food about twice a day. Anything else that you expect should be discussed with me, so that we can have similar expectations and be on the same page.

About: Hiya! My name is Jenny and I have a current dog whose name is Kaya. My husband and I just adopted her. She’s 6 years old. I always loved having dogs. They are a real blessing and can be one's best friend. I've potty trained them all and taught them how to shake, sit, turn, stay/wait, come. You know those people who go to parties and hang with the adults? Well you would find me with the dogs 🥳 I work from home most days. Just ask if you have any questions :) I will take dogs on walks during my lunch/break if weather permits I have a fenced yard. We have a good size backyard with a park nearby. With a lot of good walking areas to take them out.

Sunshine L.Star Sitter
“Hello! I want to tell you a little bit about my friend Sunshine. I met Sunshine quite a while ago and she owned 2 dogs. Having grown up with dogs my entire life I am very watchful of other pet owners and how they treat their babies (yes my pets are my babies/children). Sunshine gave her dogs so much love and care! Sunshine is a friendly, trustworthy, meticulous, dependable, and detail-oriented person. I wish she lived closer to me at times so I could have her pet-sit my current 2 girls and not have to worry about them. Finding someone you can trust with your babies is difficult, but please be open-minded and trust Sunshine. You and your babies will love her!! Brent”

“Karie watched our Frenchie, Sizzle for a week in our home while we were out of town. Our Frenchie is very attached to us, but Sizzle quickly warmed up to Karie and they formed a strong bond. Karie is punctual, reliable, and trustworthy, and we felt confident having her in our home. She took Sizzle on daily walks, fed her on schedule, and made sure to play with her. Thanks to Karie, Sizzle never felt alone and was able to stay in the comfort of her own home. Karie also kept us updated with daily photos and information on their activities, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our trip more. I highly recommend Karie to anyone looking for a dependable in-home pet sitter!”
