About: I have always owned dogs and considered them as family. I have taken care of family and friends' dogs for about 20 years now and I have always treated them as if they were my own. I work full time, but only 2 or 3 days a week depending on the week. Therefore I'm free about 5 days a week and my schedule is flexible. Also, I live with my parents and sister and whenever I need to run errands, the pups never stay alone. I have a 20x30 yards, fenced back yard. I make them play for a while, feed them as instructed per the owner. If small enough, I let them sleep with me, if allowed by you.
About: I have extensive experience caring for both puppies and senior dogs. As a devoted dog mom to three pups who lived full lives into their senior years, I understand the love, patience, and special care dogs need at every stage of life. I’ve also fostered numerous dogs over the years and have adopted two senior dogs, giving them a comfortable and loving home in their golden years. In addition to my own pets, I’ve cared for many friends’ and family members’ animals—often on short notice—so I understand how important it is to have someone dependable and trustworthy when plans change. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness will always be my top priority. I work full time during the week, but my weekends are dedicated to providing loving care and attention to animals. I have a busy household with three grown children, and there is almost always someone home to keep your pets company and ensure they receive the care, comfort, and supervision they deserve. Our home is a pet-loving environment, and I truly enjoy spending time with animals, giving them attention, playtime, and a safe place to feel comfortable while you’re away. I have experience working with strong and high-energy breeds, including Chow Chows and Pit Bulls. I’m comfortable managing dogs who may need extra structure, including those with food sensitivities, leash challenges, or who require separation from other dogs. I understand the importance of consistency, boundaries, and safety for everyone involved. At home, I have two dogs — an Australian Shepherd mix and a Boxer/Catahoula mix — so I’m very familiar with active personalities and the care they need to thrive.

About: Hello! My name is Lindsay and I am 31 years young. Animals have been part of my heart and home for as long as I can remember. From tiny kittens to big, goofy pups, I’ve cared for pets of all ages, personalities, and special needs. My approach is simple: every pet I watch gets treated like my own — with patience, love, and plenty of playtime. I have experience with: • Dogs (all sizes and temperaments) • Cats (from shy and skittish to bold and cuddly) • Special needs pets (medications, senior care, post-surgery recovery) • Small animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, and birds When I’m with your pets, I make sure they feel safe, happy, and understood. Whether that’s long walks and fetch in the yard, quiet couch snuggles, or gentle encouragement for the shy ones, I tailor my care to each animal’s personality. I’m reliable, communicative, and detail-oriented — you’ll always get updates, photos, and peace of mind while you’re away. And yes, I’m the kind of sitter who talks to your pets like they’re people (because, let’s face it, they are part of the family). If you’re looking for someone who goes beyond just “feeding and walking” — someone who truly bonds with your animals — I’d love to meet your furry (or feathered!) friends. 🐕🐈🐇 Pet care is part of my everyday rhythm — from morning walks to evening cuddles, I plan my schedule around keeping pets happy, healthy, and loved. I maintain a strict feeding and potty schedule according to your own dogs needs. I can easily adapt to the environment of your home by getting creative with fun & exercise.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Zana. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
