About: I’ve been surrounded by pets since I was 6, and I can’t imagine life without them! I grew up with small dogs and now share my home with three wonderful cats, including a sweet senior. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of caring for not just cats and dogs, but also mice, rabbits, snakes, and even a duck with no legs named Peggy. I also have a soft spot for big dogs who think they’re lap dogs (the best kind!). Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or just keeping pets comfy and happy, I love making every furry, feathered, or scaly friend feel at home. I work from home, which means my schedule is super flexible and pet-friendly! I’m usually available anytime after 10 a.m., and I love fitting in walks, playtime, and cuddle breaks throughout the day. Since I’m home most of the time, your pets will get plenty of love and attention without feeling lonely. Your pet’s safety and well-being always come first with me. When I’m caring for them in your home, I create a secure, calm, and dependable environment. I pay close attention to routines, follow instructions carefully, and keep a watchful eye so nothing is overlooked. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can feel confident knowing your pets are safe, happy, and cared for.
“Emily arrived on time and was so friendly and warm greeting Sadie. She definitely provided Sadie a great walk and rewarding experience. I would definitely use Emily again?”

“Shelby was so nice and helpful, she send me pictures about Pisco and treat him very well, and follow all my instructions to take care of him ✨ I’ll definitely call her again in the future if I need more help with my pup ! Thank you so much Shelby!”

“Brian took great care of my girl, Lemon! He made sure the plan for Lem was super clear beforehand, which I especially appreciated since the schedule I gave him to complement my friend's visit schedule was not perfectly regular, and he didn't miss a visit! He also had to deal with a terrible cold spell, but when he couldn't walk Lemon for more than 5 minutes at a time (about all she can tolerate when it's that cold), he took her for two short walks to make sure she did all her business and then played ball with her in the house. We came home to a dog who, while happy to see us, was clearly doing just fine without us, which is all I can ask for :)”

“Tracie is amazing. She has saved the day for me a few times already with last minute walks. She is wonderful with my dogs and always takes lots of pictures and gives them lots of love and attention!”

About: I have had many dogs in my life time and I enjoy walking, talking to, caring for and spending time with dogs when I can. I miss my pets but I am not ready to get one of my own. However, I would love to help you care for your pet when you are gone. I am a teacher during the school year. I usually can help you out on the weekend or nights during the school year. During the summer I can help more often in a variety of days and times. My fur babies have all past. When I have helped friends and family take care of their pets I make sure to get to know their fur baby before they need me to care for them. I learn their pet's routines and I try to spend some time with them so they know my sent. This makes it more comfortable for the owner and pet when I am with them.
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. My childhood cat lived to 22, and I grew up with Golden Retrievers, including helping care for a litter of puppies. I also worked as an assistant manager at a large pet daycare facility and now have two rescue dogs of my own. I’m very active and love walking, so I’m happy to give dogs plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention based on their needs. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine. I work part-time in a flexible office role and can also work remotely, while I am building my real-estate career. That gives me the ability to plan my schedule around walks, drop-ins, feedings, playtime, and staying consistent with each pet’s routine. In my home, pets are treated like family. I have a fenced yard, a large back porch, a walkable neighborhood, and a park nearby for walks and playtime. My two rescue dogs are used to sharing the furniture, so visiting pets will have plenty of comfortable places to relax and feel at home. In a client’s home, I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, playtime, medication instructions, and any house rules—while keeping you updated with photos and messages. As a former college coach and admissions counselor, I have spent most of my career in trusted, responsibility-heavy roles, and I bring that same attentiveness and care to every pet.
“He was great with Tayra! He was super friendly, patient, and made her feel comfortable right away. She was very calm around him, which made me feel at ease as well. I would definitely recommend him and would be happy to have him walk Tayra again! 🐾”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs for most of my life, and have done some dogsitting and dog walking before. I’ll admit it’s been a bit since I had to focus on school work for my psych degree, but now that I have to wait till fall for grad school, I figured now is the time to help out some furry friends! I’m an animal lover at heart and am not only interested in, but willing to help with any accommodations! Our pets deserve the best after all! :) I only have class on Monday afternoons, but sadly the rest of my schedule is pretty up in the air right now. I tend to be more of a night owl so I can help cats when they’re more active at night. I tend to work best with detailed instructions. I don’t want to disturb any routine and want the animal to feel as comfortable as possible.
About: I bring a combination of reliability, experience, and genuine love for animals that sets me apart from other sitters. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets with special needs. I am trained in providing medication administration, gentle handling for anxious pets, and creating structured routines to keep pets happy and healthy. My attention to detail ensures that every pet receives individualized care, and I communicate regularly with owners to give updates and peace of mind. Whether it’s playtime, training support, or senior pet care, I tailor my approach to meet each animal’s unique needs. I work full-time during the weekdays, but I am available evenings and on weekends to provide care for your pets. During these times, I dedicate focused attention to feeding, exercise, playtime, and companionship. I can follow your pet’s specific routines and make sure they receive the care and interaction they need while maintaining a structured schedule that keeps them happy and comfortable. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can feel relaxed and happy. I follow feeding schedules, administer medications if needed, engage in playtime and exercise, and offer plenty of affection and attention. When caring for pets in the client’s home, I treat the space and pets with respect, following all owner instructions carefully. I maintain routines as directed, ensure pets have fresh water and food, and provide companionship and exercise. I also keep the owner updated with regular messages or photos, so they feel confident their pets are safe and well-cared for while they’re away.
About: I have taken care of pets for family and friends for years. I am happy to travel to your home, and looking for some opportunities before I move back to school later this month. I am currently on winter break, so I have full availability all day until the end of January! I am happy to do overnight visits and board dogs as well. I live on 30 acres so if your dog likes to run, I'm the pet sitter for you! I am caring and attentive and I have 2 doodles to keep your fur baby company.

“Lauren was a pleasure to work with and having her help was greatly appreciated and our pups enjoyed her visiting ! She's very responsive and takes in feedback very well! I would recommend her to others.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 11 years old, and I’m comfortable with cats and dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. People have called me a “pet whisperer” because I have a calm, patient way of connecting with animals and earning their trust. I’m also physically strong and confident handling large, powerful, and energetic dogs, including dogs who need firm leash control, longer walks, structure, and plenty of activity. Safety, patience, and clear communication are always my priorities. In addition to the Rover Guarantee, I carry my own premium Pet Care/Liability Insurance for your peace of mind. I’m available 7 days a week and have a flexible schedule throughout the day. I can help with morning, afternoon, evening, and late-night care depending on your pet’s needs. Whether you need regular visits, last-minute help, walks, drop-ins, or extended care, I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. I follow each client’s instructions closely and do my best to keep every pet’s routine consistent. I know every animal has their own personality and comfort level, so I take a patient, respectful approach to care. If your pet wants playtime, attention, or companionship, I’m happy to give that. If they are shy, anxious, independent, or simply prefer space, I’m just as comfortable keeping them company from a calm and safe distance. My goal is always to help your pet feel secure, respected, and well cared for.
“Mollie was absolutely amazing! Extremely flexible with our walk schedule and always on time! Mollie was so easy to communicate with every day! Ollie loved his walks so much!! Highly recommend Mollie, our Ollie is a big pup and had no issues with her in charge! Thank you so much for all you did for us… made being away from him so much easier!”

About: I have had dogs all my life, I currently have 4 dogs in my family home, one of them being solely mine! I had been a volunteer at the humane society of Catawba valley for 4 years when I was in college and that is now how I have my rescue, Bella. I am constantly donating to animal organizations and also fostered 3 puppies about 3 years ago. I am now fostering dogs for a rescue until they get adopted and I love it so much. I dog sit friends and families dogs all the time and they are always very pleased! Your dog will love being and playing with me I promise! About: Hi pet parents, I have lifelong experiences with many types of animals at various life stages: especially comfortable with large breed and high energy dogs, exotics (parrots, rats, reptiles), equines, and livestock. I am a college student with a very open and flexible schedule to be there for the pet as much as the pet parent wants! I can offer house sitting, dog walks, potty breaks, overnight care… I can also get mail, water plants, and other house tasks. I have done farm sitting for 5 years, both pets and livestock, caring for animals and doing farm chores. I am an experienced equestrian and am very comfortable with horses, horse care (feeding, mucking, turning out) and managing senior horses. I have reliable transport and am willing to travel for pet care. Routinely, I travel from school to home and various other farms to provide care to pets and livestock. Growing up with animals, i have had my fair share of bad pet sitting experiences and when I first started sitting, i promised to provide care I would expect for my own pets. I promise to interact with and treat pets as my own and to give each individualized care. I love caring for animals and researching the best ways to provide for any species I am caring for. I also understand the importance of animal behavior and body language when interacting with animals and have a particular love and respect for shy or aggressive pets.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Yeoho. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Yeoho.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yeoho. On Rover:
- 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
