“Amber was super responsive and really helped us out over the holiday weekend. Our cat takes several medications and Amber was able to administer all of them for us. Would definitely book with her again 😊”

“Amelia was phenomenal with our cat. She was professional, communicative, and our cat loved spending time with her. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience with her and hope to keep working with her in the future!”

About: Dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I grew up with three wonderful dogs throughout my childhood, each teaching me something different about love, patience, and companionship. One of them was even a future seeing-eye dog. Although we only had him for about a year before he went on to begin his important work, it was incredibly rewarding to be part of his journey and to help prepare him for the life-changing role he would have. When my husband and I bought our first home, one of the very first things we did was adopt the sweetest girl named Kora. She filled our home with joy, laughter, muddy paw prints, and unconditional love for ten unforgettable years. Saying goodbye to her was one of the hardest things we've ever done, but I wouldn't trade a single moment we had together. Because of these experiences, I know that dogs aren't "just pets"—they're family. Whether your dog loves long walks, endless games of fetch, belly rubs, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company, I'll care for them with the same patience, kindness, and attention I'd want someone to give my own. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy until you're back home. Beginning August 1st, my scheduled will be wide open. I have been working as a Licensed Massage Therapist for the past 11 years...and for 6 of those years I have owned my own business. I have recently decided to retire and close my business. I feel that pet sitting is the perfect mix of flexibility while also scratching the itch to spend all my time with fluff balls! I am looking forward to taking your dog on their walks, playing fetch in the backyard, or cuddling on the couch with them. I also love to spend time with you cats, rabbits, rats, hermit crabs...you get the idea!
About: I've had guinea pigs all my life, and I have taken care of my friends and families dogs and cats. Taking care of animals is a huge passion of mine, and I take it very seriously I have a lot of free time on my hands and would be available anytime of the week. If something does come up on my schedule I will let you know. I would prefer to take care of your animals in your own home and would be able to stay over or check in on them as much as you want.
“We had a wonderful experience with Ariel watching our dogs while we were out of state . She provided daily updates, which gave us great peace of mind, and it was clear that our dogs were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She was attentive, reliable, and treated our dogs like they were her own. We came home to happy pups and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter!”

“Audrey was amazing for our dogs! They were clearly comfortable with her in the many pictures she sent and she gave great details on how they both were doing. I am so glad we found her and will definitely be keeping her in mind for future trips!”

About: I have had pets all my life, and I truly love caring for and looking after them because being around animals brings me happiness, comfort, and a strong sense of joy every day. I’m free most of the day. I only work at night only for a couple hours and would love to take care of any fluffy friends. I would treat your pets like my own babys. Always keep a watch on them, feed them, walk them, play with them, and clean them
“I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for myself and my pets with Jennifer. My dog who can be a bit shy really warmed up to her which is huge! Jennifer’s communication and overall positivity, care, and friendliness is so appreciated and made me feel completely comfortable leaving my dog and cat in her care. Highly recommend!”

“Diana was very accommodating & was able to help me out at the last minute. She did very well with my two dogs & they seemed to be very comfortable with her. She followed my detailed instructions & didn't appear to have any problems with my sometimes problematic dog. I would definitely recommend Diana to those who need a caring, responsible pet sitter.”

“Susan is a fantastic cat sitter. Our cat felt comfortable and cared for. She spent time with him ensuring he ate, exercised and received scratches and pets. Susan submits daily updates and photos providing the pet owner with reassurance that their pet is doing well. We're so appreciate of Susan.”

“Julie was absolutely amazing with my kitties, and it was such a relief to know that they were in great hands while I was away! I loved getting the photos and thoughtful updates she provided, and my cats loved her! I would give her 10 stars out of 5 if I could!”

About: I am the ultimate pet lover! I grew up with fish, a hamster, a rabbit, and dogs. In 2008, I adopted 3 puppies of my parents’ dog. They were my kids and my pride and joy! My last pup passed away in January 2024, 2 months shy of his 16th birthday. Since then, I’ve been helping to take care of family pets and am excited to offer walking, feeding, and sitting services for others in the community. I am focusing on finishing my last year as a doctoral student. I’m also an expert at time management! I am available almost everyday of the week. I am detail-oriented, caring, trustworthy, customer service-oriented, and I love animals! I don’t have any direct experience caring for cats, but I have been around them enough to be comfortable with them. I promise to take care of others’ pets like they’re my own.
About: I’ve had all kinds of pets from the age of 5 and have been pet sitting off and on since I was a teenager. Friends and family have relied on me to love and care for their pets as my own. I would love to meet your furry friend and give you peace of mind that they will be well cared for while you are away. Jake loves to play with other dogs his size and they always have a good time running and playing together. He is indifferent to cats and I would love a fur ball to sit in my lap. I have a lot of experience giving medications to dogs and other pets. I will work with you to give your pet the things they are familiar with at home. Look for lots of photos and videos of your pet having fun while they are with me! I work full time but I am home throughout the day so that they are only alone for a maximum of 2-4 hours. We love to walk and visit the dog park in our spare time I have no commitments outside of work and can provide companionship and playtime with your family member and my Jake. I am more than happy to accommodate any needs your furry friend has and the schedule he or she needs.

“Amanda and Joe did an amazing job taking care of our kitties. I got pictures every day they visited and updates on how each cat was doing while they were there. They even got our super shy cat to come out of her shell a bit after a couple visits. I will definitely be using them again!”

As of August 2026, there are 1,526 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Yellow House. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yellow House. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
