About: I LOVE DOGS!! What more can I say? I have had dogs in my family, of my own and taken care of family dogs practically since I was born. I've been around dogs of all shapes and sizes and love all of them, no matter what! I have had experience with special diets, dog walking and even diabetic dogs (using diabetic test strips and glucometer). Sometimes I like to think of myself as a dog whisperer: I can get along with all dogs and read what they need or want. I'm also great at helping dogs to heal or get over their fears! About: I have had the honor of having dogs my entire life. Recently, helped my daughter potty training her rescue puppies. They have become the protectors of my grandchildren. About: I’m dog savvy, I take care of animals for a living and I have experience taking care of farm animals, reptiles, cats and so on. My one cat dont like big dogs I can do any days depending on my work schedule that I have. This includes bathroom schedules, allergies, medications, the type of fencing or yard setup they have, whether pets are allowed on furniture, and if they are sensitive to thunder or loud noises (primarily so I can monitor them closely during storms or fireworks). I also ask about grooming needs, any injuries or hotspots to watch for, veterinary contact information, and the nearest emergency vet in your area. While I’ve never had to take a pet I was caring for to an emergency vet, I believe it’s important to have that information readily available in case treatment ever becomes necessary. We’ll also discuss any limitations they may have, as well as whether they’re allowed to go on rides, walks, swimming outings, or even enjoy the occasional pup cup 🩶 I also like to review each pet’s daily routine and preferences with owners to help keep their care as consistent and comfortable as possible while you’re away. I’ll ask about feeding schedules, potty breaks, medications, sleeping arrangements, favorite activities, and any behaviors or sensitivities I should be aware of. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, loved, and stress-free in my care while giving owners peace of mind knowing their pets are being treated like family.

About: I've lived with pets all my life and while I’ve only had one human roommate in the last 30 years, I've always had a least one cat up until 2018. I LOVE cats (esp kittens), and am quite comfortable around dogs as well (I love them too, just not in all capitals, LOL). When I first started pet sitting, I thought I preferred cats to dogs, but the past few years have enabled me to expand in my love of, and comfort with dogs (but please don't tell the cats that)! I also used to 'lease' a horse in my youth and have experience with birds, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs. I DON'T like snakes or insects (sorry!) In the last 12 years I’ve volunteered with several rescues as a cat/kitten foster and I'm known to be particularly good with feral kittens and cats. I'm really good with walking (dogs mostly), dispensing medications, and loving attention, but I'm not a pushover when it comes to treats from the table (that's a no-no) staying on leash when required, and letting them know I mean business when necessary. I don't believe in EVER striking or punishing animals and seem to fall in love with them all. I’ve been a house and pet sitter on the site “Trusted Housesitters” since 2018 and have over 21 positive reviews there. I’m recently retired (yet surprisingly busy). I don’t do a lot of night driving, but am otherwise generally available. I’m a stickler about being on time, and keeping dates I commit to. My preference is for cats to remain indoors at all times at my house, and dogs always on a lead when outside. I have a variety of crate sizes here, and am totally comfortable with your fur kids riding in my car, lounging on my furniture, and/or sleeping in my bed. I have all wood floors, plenty of cat litter pans and bowls for food and water. My yard is not fenced but I have easy access to neighborhood parks.

We have a guest house where I will board your pet, so no need to worry about any interaction with my current pets. I can offer a relaxing atmosphere and all day care on weekends along with morning and afternoon care on week days. I can also board or do drop-in visits for fish, hamsters, or horses. Your dog will love a relaxing mountain retreat! Your cat can enjoy a quiet vacation! I work full time as a teacher. I can board your pet all weekends or in the afternoons. I can take crate trained dogs anytime during the week but could only provide potty breaks every 6-8 hours. I am available for dog walks or drop-in visits any day in the afternoon or evening in the Chambersburg, Gettysburg, and Hagerstown areas. Your pet would live only with me in a private guest house. We have 300 acres to go for walks or chase balls! My husband and 9 cats live in the main house. Our cats don’t mind other animals but I can keep your pet away from the cats if you prefer. As a 15 year high school teacher, I am very trustworthy, authentic, and kind. I admit to being a bit of a “crazy animal person” as I try to pet every animal I see! I can be trusted with your animal for an extended time or just an afternoon walk! I can also board hamsters or horses.

About: Those that love and enjoy nature, love and enjoy animals all the more. From hiking and camping to exploring and traveling. My favorite thing is nature and what coincides with that are animals. I started watching animals on a regular bases about 6 years ago. I would stay at the people’s house and care for their animals while they were on vacation. It started with doing it just a few times a year. Now I animal sit at least once a month. I worked at PetSmart for a year during that time and my job title was a Petcare taker. My job was to take care of the animals in house and then help pet parents with whatever they needed. I was trained on how to specifically interact with animals to gain their trust and then once they trusted me I could start training them.
