“We recently moved to NOVA from Midlothian and had to find a new Rover Ally to watch our 2 sweet Goldens- We used someone who lived in the same town and it did not go well at all so we were very nervous about leaving them again with anyone else. I can hands down say this was one of our best Rover experiences ever!! Joel and Janelle have a beautiful place with a large grassy fenced yard! They sent periodic incredible “action” pictures and our Goldens did not seemed stressed at all when we picked them up. We are looking forward to our stay with them early next month.”

I’ll have people tell me their cat doesn’t like people, or being picked up, but somehow i’m always able to do so. I enjoy making cats feel at home and safe in their environment. About: Our home is a relaxed environment with plenty of room to wonder around and get sun light. We take 3 walks a day and run into plenty of other animals around the neighborhood and at the park. I and my wife work from home so there is always someone around! We take our dog for multiple walks a day & enjoy the playground so she can hang out with other dogs! Working from home makes things a breeze when taking care of pets! There are no issues with play time or even personal time. We adapt easily! About: Hello I’ve grown up with dogs in the house and have rescued 2 little ones of my own when I moved into my own house. We have a fenced in yard with lots of toys and area to play! My in laws live on an island in the Caribbean and whenever we visit we care for the many stray animals that are on the island! I work from home daily so my schedule is really flexible and can accommodate last minute bookers! Taking breaks throughout the day is easy to do with such flexibility! Pets will be supervised and any instructions/rules will be followed that is given by the client. Pets are treated with the same love and care as humans.
About: I am currently doing Rover part-time, I’m also working 2 other part-time jobs, however, for one of them I get to choose my own schedule. If given enough notice (usually a week) I can take off the days you’d need from one of my jobs, and then just schedule my other around it! I’ve had and taken care of dogs/cats since a young age. I love all animals and caring for them! Ive taken 2 pre-vet classes and would love to have a job working with animals full-time, no matter the job! As of now, I am caring for my 2 cats and leopard gecko! I only work Thurs-Sun, never more than 8 hours + my other job I can pick my own schedule! About: I LOVE DOGS!! What more can I say? I have had dogs in my family, of my own and taken care of family dogs practically since I was born. I've been around dogs of all shapes and sizes and love all of them, no matter what! About: I've lived with pets all my life and while I’ve only had one human roommate in the last 30 years, I've always had a least one cat up until 2018. I LOVE cats (esp kittens), and am quite comfortable around dogs as well (I love them too, just not in all capitals, LOL). When I first started pet sitting, I thought I preferred cats to dogs, but the past few years have enabled me to expand in my love of, and comfort with dogs (but please don't tell the cats that)! I also used to 'lease' a horse in my youth and have experience with birds, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs. I DON'T like snakes or insects (sorry!) In the last 12 years I’ve volunteered with several rescues as a cat/kitten foster and I'm known to be particularly good with feral kittens and cats. I'm really good with walking (dogs mostly), dispensing medications, and loving attention, but I'm not a pushover when it comes to treats from the table (that's a no-no) staying on leash when required, and letting them know I mean business when necessary. I don't believe in EVER striking or punishing animals and seem to fall in love with them all. I’ve been a house and pet sitter on the site “Trusted Housesitters” since 2018 and have over 21 positive reviews there. I’m recently retired (yet surprisingly busy). I don’t do a lot of night driving, but am otherwise generally available. I’m a stickler about being on time, and keeping dates I commit to. My preference is for cats to remain indoors at all times at my house, and dogs always on a lead when outside. I have a variety of crate sizes here, and am totally comfortable with your fur kids riding in my car, lounging on my furniture, and/or sleeping in my bed. I have all wood floors, plenty of cat litter pans and bowls for food and water. My yard is not fenced but I have easy access to neighborhood parks.

“We use Sarah exclusively now and Huck loves going to her house. This stay we had a medical emergency that prevented us from making drop off. Sarah drove out of her way to pick Huck up with it being her suggestion. This was such a huge help to us. We are so grateful and thankful that we found her!!”

Melissa is thorough in her intake, noting Birdie's food allergies and current schedule, and is warm and gentle in helping pups acclimate to a new environment. Melissa maintained Birdie's schedule, giving her plenty of outdoor and play time, and administered Birdie's medication, giving us peace of mind to focus on family. We enjoyed the handful of photos Melissa sent along the way and always appreciate her responsive communication. Melissa is deeply professional and the most thorough and warm caretaker and our expectations are always surpassed when Birdie is with Melissa!”
“We recently moved to NOVA from Midlothian and had to find a new Rover Ally to watch our 2 sweet Goldens- We used someone who lived in the same town and it did not go well at all so we were very nervous about leaving them again with anyone else. I can hands down say this was one of our best Rover experiences ever!! Joel and Janelle have a beautiful place with a large grassy fenced yard! They sent periodic incredible “action” pictures and our Goldens did not seemed stressed at all when we picked them up. We are looking forward to our stay with them early next month.”

“Juliana said s very knowledgeable about dog pack behaviors. Our initial meet n greet with her own dogs was outdoors, controlled and successful. By the time Daisy entered the house she felt comfortable and right at home. She didn’t even follow me to the door when I left! Pick up was a breeze. I could easily tell Daisy had been loved and well cared for. Juliana sent updates and pics throughout the stay. 100% recommend her services.”

Their house is pet friendly with a large area for dogs to roam around. This was our first time using "pet sitters" and we are delighted with the results.
