“Alan was very positive. He sent pictures and comments, and he also was patient with our change in plans. We hope that he'll be able to watch Hershey again sometime because it was a great experience for our dog.”

“I would highly recommend Zurijanne! She is responsive, great with all pets big and small providing video and picture updates daily. I knew my dogs were in great hands when I was away!”

“Five stars are not enough for Paige. We left our very anxious dog with Paige for almost a week long stay and truly never had to think twice about whether my girl was doing well. The regular updates and photos made it clear she was safe, comfortable, happy, and receiving so much love and attention. She was treated like part of the family and I could not be more grateful. By the end of the stay, I’m pretty sure our dog considered Paige’s home her second home. Thank you, Paige!”

“We had a great experience with Andrew. We rescued our dog two months ago and it was our first time boarding him so we were understandably nervous. The frequent photos and videos we received assured us that our boy was having a good time socializing with Andrew’s dog Dante.”

“First time using Rover. Mina sent regular photos to let us know how our dog was doing while we were away which was super helpful. Thanks so much for taking good care of her!”

“Andrew was a great choice to care for Toby. We went on a two-week international adventure, where cell reception would be spotty. It was good to know that Toby would be with very responsible sitters, given that we could not be in touch all the time. Thank you for peace of mind.”

About: My dogs are my babies. ❤️ If you feel the same way, we already have something important in common! I started dog walking because I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your precious pups. My husband and I adopted two rescue dogs, Myrtle and Daisy, who came to us with potty and behavioral challenges after being poorly cared for in a puppy mill. With patience and love, they’ve blossomed into two silly, fun-loving dogs who are an important part of our family. I’m not a trainer, groomer, or vet tech—I’m simply a devoted pet parent who understands how much peace of mind matters when you’re leaving your “babies” with someone else. I’d love the opportunity to be a trusted friend to you and your pups! 🐾 I’m available for weekday walks starting around 3:30 PM. I enjoy getting outside and spending time with dogs, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. My own dogs also keep me familiar with the importance of consistency, attention, and lots of love! On weekends, I am available for boarding from Friday evening to Sunday evening. To ensure dog safety, we crate all dogs when humans are away. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, while giving them plenty of attention, affection, and patience. I’ll also keep you updated during visits so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“This family cares. They care about pets. About communication. About making travel and pet care as stressed as possible. I think my dog had a better time during my vacation than I did. He was so well loved and cared for. And we were kept in the know with daily reports and photos that brought joy to each day. We are so delighted with the care our dog got from this living family.”

About: I love dogs.I grew up with dogs.I’m kind, patient, gentle, and caring. We have a 2 y.o.Lhasa Apso. I hope to see your fur baby soon!! I am home more frequently at the moment. I have time to care for pets. Plenty of time. To play , walk, and board fur babies. Zola is on a potty schedule which works great. She is walking on a retractable leach twice a day and often times plays ,sleeps, etc in my room or throughout the house. She eats typically 3 times a day, more is she likes.
“I can't say enough good about Celene and her puppers! She is super knowledgeable and good with dogs! I can tell that my Charli really liked her! She was well taken care of and I will definitely use her again!”

“LaTonya was fantastic with my dog, treated him like a member of her own family. Sent daily updates and pictures. I will use her again and highly recommend her for others.”
“Lisa was so nice and kind. Took very good care of my dog (Cookie) I would definitely recommend her. I had never left her before but I was so at ease with the way Lisa treated my girl. Just as if she was her own. I would definitely let her watch her again:”

“Kayden is very friendly and knowledgable about dogs. Milo, our dog, is elderly and I was a bit worried about the interactions between his energetic dogs and mine. But all went well and Milo came home healthy and happy after a full week with Kayden, his partner and their four-legged friends. The second concern I had was the small outside area he had available for the dogs to do their business. Milo is picky about where he goes potty and, since there was no grass, I wasn't sure how that would go. Again, Kayden handled it well, taking Milo out for walks when needed. I would take Milo back for future visits if the need arises.”

“I cannot say enough amazing things about how awesome Debra is. I had the best experience booking with Debra. She is friendly and made the whole process easy going. The entire week we were gone she sent photos and communicated well . Debra treated my poms like one of her own. She made me and my pets feel extremely comfortable and took superb care of my pets. I will definitely book again with Debra. 11/10”

“Heather and her family were great hosts for my dog! He came home happy. It was his first time staying somewhere new and Heather helped us make sure it would be a good fit with a meet and greet before his stay.”

“Cortez and Jessica (and their kiddos and fur baby) were the best possible family away from family. They took such food care of our senior pup and made sure we had photo, video, and text updates. We are so grateful to have a wonderful sitter nearby for long or short stays when needed.”

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
