I always greet the pets first and I like to greet with a preferred snack of pet and owners choice . Checking if need food or water / refreshing water bowls and scheduled feedings . Letting them outside to use restroom and a small play session with their pick of toy / activity . Giving praise and a treat . Lots more love before leaving and I always like to give them a favorite toy or sometimes owner have preferred going away treats when they leave the house.
