About: I am an animal lover and have had pets my whole life that I have taken care of. I currently have a dog and cat of my own and I have owned freshwater tanks, horses, a leopard gecko, and have provided care for numerous animals in their homes as well for others. My animals take oral medications so I am familiar with specialty care and am comfortable providing the same to your furry (or otherwise!) family members. I have also worked in a holistic pet store with a focus on healthy nutrition for cats and dogs. I ride horses and have since I was 7 years old competing in ApHC national and world shows. I have provided medical needs to horses as well! I am currently working part-time, so I am available for drop in visits and walks each day of the week including weekends. I can do early mornings in very unique circumstances. I am unable to care for additional pets in my own home however, I am available to do visits to your home multiple times a day with updates to you so you feel comfortable leaving your pet for an extended period of time.
“Ruth was great with our dog! She took great care to address our dog’s needs, sent cute pictures and was responsive to all of our requests/questions. Thanks Ruth!”
“This was such a last minute visit and she came through perfectly. I had to leave for an urgent meeting and she was able to watch ninja and make sure he received his food. She even asked if he needed a walk and I was shocked at the level of professionalism that Marina held. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a pet sitter!”

“I have been very happy to have found Rebecca. She is extremely caring and a true dog lover. She’s very reliable and makes my life much easier. I have great pleasure working with her and will definitely book her again. I highly recommend her service. Your dog will love her.”

“Kira was fabulous! She posted pix of my baby every day and let me know, through the Rover app, when she was visiting my Jerry. She always updated me on how he was doing and what she did during the visit. I couldn’t have asked for more.”

“Erik was such a kind and caring dog sitter. He was very punctual and communicative throughout the whole time I was out of town. He even walked my dog both days despite it being optional. Hachi was in such great hands and I would rebook him again in an instant.”

About: 🏆 20+ yrs Experience !! BIG FENCED IN YARD !! *** SPECIALIZE IN LONG STAYS *** I love and respect each animal for who they are as I do people. I am confident when caring for any pet that we will respect and understand one another, I gage their demeanor and temperament and than go from there. I keep a calm and clean (but lived in) home and I utilize my big fenced in yard to it's fullest!! I love playing catch with the dogs and the cats I let them do their thing whether it's cuddling on the couch or if they are skiddish or shy I let them be until they are comfortable enough to be approached or to approach me. I also can give baths and trim nails! Need a sitter who has a big heart and a big yard? Call me! I have a semi flexible work schedule and I'm 10 mins from my house. I pop in and out during work hours and I'm home everyday and night 24/7 Cameras inside and out to keep an eye on the woof pack!! I have a large secure fenced in yard very open for running, playing catch or Frisbee, I can brush or bath any pet for you and I also offer nail trimming. Big bowls of fresh FILTERED water inside and out changed several times a day. I am diligent on dietary restrictions. Every day i make one on one time for each and every pup, they really love and appreciate it! i totally get that they need that time especially before bed. (I tuck them all in)

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Yardville Heights
From the time Linda did the meet and greet to the actual visits, all 3 of our pugs sucked right up to her as they could tell she truly is an animal lover. She did a great job with them and we couldn't be more pleased with the job she did. We would highly recommend her and would not hesitate to use her again! Thank You Linda!

We made last-minute plans and were worried about finding pet care until we met Rachel! Her prompt reply to our inquiry and willingness to meet with us before the trip put us completely at ease—we left for the weekend feeling confident our pets were in great hands. With each drop-in, Rachel sent detailed, thoughtful messages and photos, so there was never a doubt about how well cared for our two dogs and cat were. She was precise, professional, and clearly took the time to understand each of our animals' personalities and needs. Communication was clear and consistent throughout, and it was obvious Rachel genuinely cared. We'd recommend her without hesitation and will absolutely book her again.

James was great during drop-in visits with our two cats! His rover cards were very thorough, and he was easy to communicate with. Even our cat who is shy around strangers felt comfortable and wanted pets from him by the end of his time caring for them. I will definitely rebook with him in the future!

Linda was great! She always takes great care of our diabetic cat. We had to change his insulin this time, and Linda didn't hesitate to stop by to learn the new injector. She sends the best photos and always makes me feel more comfortable leaving for an extended trip knowing that he is in good hands!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
