The environment of your backyard with friends and family as well as just your welcoming energy reminded me so much of what it was like when my Uncle Ryan was still around. He passed unexpectedly in 2016, leaving behind my Aunt Krista and their two young girls, Claire was 7 and Hannah was 5. My aunt and uncle loved each other so deeply and enjoyed hosting family and friends regularly. I am extremely grateful that you reminded me of those memories I had forgotten about. Please continue to have people over and share these moments with each other! So again, thank you for proving a loving home for my puppy to stay while also bringing back some wonderful memories for me, even though it was unknowingly. Grover and I will 100% be back to visit again!”

About: I have been a dog mom since I was 15. I currently have 2 dogs of my own, a shihtzu and a Labrador retriever. Dogs are members of our family and get treated as such! I am a stay at home mom. I have a lot of kids, but 3 of them currently stay home during the day. I have a lot of time to go to parks or a simple walk around the pond. It will be just me tending to your pets needs, other people in photos are just part of our dog loving family! I have 2 very friendly dogs in my home and very loving children. There's have a really nice pond to walk around and a lot of toys to play with.

About: I know how energetic dogs are, and I am as well so we’re a perfect match! I can keep them entertained while they are also making my day so much brighter! I am a full time student but classes do not take up much of my day! I love to go on long walks and I can entertain any dog for hours. I can do late afternoons and mornings, as well as nights if need be. I have 2 dogs at home, but here at college I do not have any pets. My apartment does allow pets so it would be no problem to have them over:) I also have the option of a fenced in yard if your little pup prefers to run around freely.

About: I’ve taken care of fur babies of all kinds since before I could walk. I grew up with a dog and cat always in tow. I lived in the country, so learned fast that the world can be hard for an animal, thus beginning my rehab ‘career’. As I got older, I pet sat for neighbors and family friends. In my mid 20s I trained as a vet tech, prepping animals for surgery, giving vaccinations, nail trims, etc. Until the ISU Wildlife Clinic closed, I volunteered there, learning more care for wild native animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, I can’t imagine life without animals. I currently have a senior border collie named Lola, she has arthritis so sometimes she needs help getting around and I’m always willing to help my girl. I also have a senior cat. Currently I’m a doordash/grub hub driver, so I literally am free 24/7 to care for your pets! I will prioritize Rover over delivery, so I can work with any schedule you need. I’m available for repeat needs (several walks a week, drop ins, etc). I live in a duplex with a yard. For me to board a pet, they would need to get along with my dog, and she can honestly be a bit grumpy meeting new dogs, so I feel going to the client’s home would be best. I will respect your home and follow whatever instructions you have for the care of your pets.

About: I have always had both cats and dogs in my home. Spend every day in the summer walking my personal dogs twice a day. Friends in the community have relied on me to do check-ins with their dogs and take them on walks. I am currently working part-time and am a student. I am available in the evenings or mornings. I have time in between classes to come back to my house to walk and let the dog out for a potty break. We play fetch, go for walks around the neighborhood to the dog park. I have a spacious apartment by myself to play in to get their energy out and get an adequate amount of exercise daily.

I had a very unusual need as I was traveling across the state and needing a dog sitter for just a few hours so I could take my wife on a side trip that didn't accommodate dogs and she not only graciously accommodated my plan but she was willing to switch gears at the drop of a hat to change things from one planned time to a different planned time! This is not to say that she should be able and or expected to do this all the time, just that she is awesome and helped make our perfectly special trip become an awesome trip!! About: I have experience with a wide variety of dogs, but especially with specials needs, senior, and small and large dogs. My old fur-baby, Jack, was special needs (born with scoliosis) and I did the majority of care for him. He lived to be 17 and a half. I work from home with a relatively flexible schedule. During the weekdays I am available for daycare, pop-ins, walks, and house-sitting. On the weekends I am available for boarding and overnights. I live in an apartment but am very active and can ensure plenty of outside time if desired. My complex also has a large fenced-in dog park area. I have one dog who is very friendly and can keep your dog company and play with. I am available to go to your place as well if prefered.

About: After saying goodbye to our beloved Brady of 14 years, we are now empty nesters who have been dog parents for 36+ years. We currently have two "grandogs" who we continue to love like family. We know how hard it is to find others to love your dog like you do. We would love to provide that love and care during times you are needing to be away from them. We are retired, very active grandparents to 5 kiddos. We enjoy walks and playing outdoors, and would love to include a dog in both. Potty breaks have always been a routine thing for us, and something we are mindful of even on a lazy day inside. I'm a firm believer in a dog always having access to clean water, including those hot days when they are outdoors. Because we quite often have our grandkids around, we would want to ensure that your dog is comfortable around children as well as safe around children. We will honor requirements you may have for crating your dog, but we prefer to allow them to have free roam of the home. We do not have a fenced in back yard. However, neighbors on both sides of us our fenced in, and there is a 50+ foot patch of prairie grass behind our yard. Your dog will not be outside off a leash without us, if he/she is not well trained. We do have a large, covered deck with a gate to provide additional outdoor opportunities for your dog.
