About: Let’s be real: your dog deserves a break that’s actually fun! I’m here to make sure they get exactly that. I used to work at a veterinary hospital but now I just sub so I’m the person who naturally notices the "little things," but when I’m walking your pup, it’s all about the good stuff—fresh air, tail wags, and a serious amount of attention!!! I’ll keep you in the loop with plenty of cute photo updates so you don’t feel like you’re missing out. This isn't just a job for me; I converse, love and care for each dog or cat as my own. I work part time at a vet clinic, which gives me a flexible schedule for mid-day walks and weekend adventures! Whether your pup needs a quick potty break or a stroll to burn off energy, I’m here to make sure they get exactly what they need while you’re busy. Getting out with your dog is the best part of my day. Since I work in a veterinary environment, safety is second nature to me. I’m the person who double-checks the leash, keeps a sharp eye on surroundings, and makes sure the water bowl is always fresh. I treat your home with respect and your pet like they’re my own. Expect plenty of cute photo updates so you can see exactly how much fun we're having!
“Dustin has been wonderful! He's very gentle with Larry and very kind. I noticed he takes note of Larry's harness and if it's too loose or uncomfy for him. Larry loves him! I definitely recommend hiring Dustin for walks.”

About: Hi, we’re Eric and Cassie! We’re passionate animal lovers and proud pet parents to a loving, goofy Golden Retriever. We understand that pets are family, and we know how important it is to find someone you can trust with their care. We would love the opportunity to provide your furry friends with the attention, affection, and care they deserve while giving you peace of mind. Whether it's walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to your pet's routine, we’ll treat them as if they were our own. We look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾 Eric is currently only taking grad classes over the summer so his schedule is very flexible. We are both very active individuals so we love going for multiple walks daily and would love to fit your pet into our cadence. Eric am 6'4 and able to handle dogs big and small on a leash. As a Special Educator (and dog owner), I am familiar with positive reinforcement and use it when walking dogs. Cassie has grown up taking care of her neighbors animals while they were on vacation and loves to spend time playing with them, sitting with them and getting their energy out.
About: I’ve been taking care of my own dog for about 9 years and have also helped with neighbors pets. I understand how important it is to have trusted care for your pet. I take that responsibility seriously and focus on keeping your pet comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I provide safe, comfortable, and attentive care your pet can trust. I’m typically available Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and happy to coordinate around your schedule to make sure your pet gets the care they need. I make sure pets are safe, well cared for, and happy, following their daily routine and giving regular updates so you know they’re doing well.

About: I've had pets my whole life and currently have a cat who I love taking care of! I also am comfortable taking care of dogs. I work part time with flexible hours so I have lots of free time to take care of your pet! I'm free most mornings, afternoons and evenings. When I take care of a dog I'll take them for walks, clean up after them, play with them, and make sure they have food, water and plenty of attention.
“I can't thank Sam enough for the amazing communication and great care he takes of Meilah when he comes to let her out. My neighbors say he is great allowing her to sniff around and go potty. She is always very relaxed when we get home from work.”
“Kat is the best! She’s prompt, professional, and you can tell she really loves the animals she works with. Ruby was thrilled to have you back for a few weeks! Thank you so much!”

About: My name is Katie and I am a caring pet sitter who has pet-sat dogs and cats of many breeds, ages, and sizes. 😊 I also had a pocket beagle named Harley who passed away a few years ago and have lived with a cat (through roommates) before. I would love the opportunity to care for your pets! All photos are of pets I have cared for in the past. Message me if you have any questions! :) I have flexibility in my schedule to care for your pets whenever needed! Have a trip or event planned? Feel free to reach out. Preferably local to the Montgomery county area. In client’s homes, I’m very respectful and loving towards pets. I follow instructions exactly how they’re given. “Autumn was really great, I live in a condo and she gratiously met me earlier in the week to meet my two dogs and pick up the keys. My two can be little barkers but they definitely took to Autumn and did well even on Halloween night. They can be barkers when I walk with them but Autumn said that the tricker treaters didn't bother them at all, so Autumn must have worked some magic with them. I totally recommend Autumn and will be asking her again in the future. Thank you so much Autumn. Appreciate you so much for doing the walk on Halloween.”

About: As an elementary teacher, I exhibit patience, responsibility, and a nurturing personality, which goes hand in hand with pet care. I am experienced in creating safe and positive environments while giving every child AND pet attention, kindness, and dependable care. I also own Shiba Inus, a breed known for being independent and stubborn, so I am very comfortable handling strong personalities, building trust, and providing consistent, loving care. In the summers, I have more flexibility and availability as a teacher, which allows me to dedicate extra time and attention to pets throughout the week. For dog walking, I make sure each walk is safe, engaging, and tailored to the dog’s energy level and needs. I provide exercise, attention, breaks, and positive interaction during the walk. For drop-in visits, I care for pets in the comfort of their own home. I can support them by feeding them, refilling water, giving bathroom breaks, playtime, companionship, and lots of affection. I also make sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible.
About: With 10+ years of professional dogsitting experience I have worked with many types of dogs and pride myself on my ability to adapt to each animal's individual needs. I have experience with small and large breeds, puppies, seniors, those who are anxiety prone, high energy, and even blind. I am comfortable and confident administering medication (orally, eye drops). I specialize in dog care but have also cared for cats and horses professionally. Growing up I rode horses, always had a dog in the house, as well as cats, hamsters, and fish. Always immersed in nature, I loved to walk around my yard and find box turtles creeping along in the grass. A surprise to fulfill my childlike wonder that still hasn't left me!! As an animal lover from the time I was a little girl, I always went straight for the animals wherever I went to make an instant new friend. I was born with an intuitive understanding of animals, as a child connecting naturally, easily and deeply with them. Animals have always been a necessary and important part of my life creating comfort and companionship for both of us. I also offer ENERGY HEALING sessions for all types of animals. Benefits of energy healing include anxiety relief, greater over all wellbeing, aids in recovery after trauma or surgery, etc. Healing is received either hands-on or remotely. Please contact me directly for more info. Can't wait to hear from you! My schedule is generally flexible. Currently available for both long-term and short-term care, vacation needs, or other customization arrangement. Short notice requests welcome and I will do my best to accomodate. During my visit or stay with your dog(s) I would be happy to take them on a hike or to a nearby park for some exercise and fun adventure!

About: I am new to Rover :)) I have taken care of dogs since high school. I graduated college in 2023 with a degree in Health Sciences. I am currently working as an aide at a physical therapy clinic, and looking to make extra money. I love pet sitting and caring for animals is one of my strong suits. I am always willing to accommodate you and your dogs needs and I will always care for them like they are my own! I am currently working part-time so I will have plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I am a home body, so I am always at home and also have my mom and grandmom in the home to help if need be. In a clients home, I will leave it completely up to you, how I walk, feed, crate, etc. your dog. But I will always care for your dog as if they were my own! For pet sitting at my home, I do not have a fenced in yard but I usually walk the dogs on leashes around my yard or take them to the park by my house to walk them. I can crate them anywhere in the home if needed. I also have plenty of dog toys/crates/ dog accessories from my own dog.
About: I started dogsitting while in highschool and still love and continue to do it to help friends and neighbors. I have the flexibility to come visit your dog when needed and have some experience with puppies. I am currently a stay at home mom. I, thankfully have tons of flexibility in my schedule. If your fur baby does not do well with children, please let me know/I may not be a good fit for you. I follow directions and lists so if you have special requests please write them down! I appreciate open and clear communication so please state any concerns or questions when contacting me.
About: I am a mom to a 7 and 9 year old. I also have an 18 year old stepdaughter. We have 2 dogs: Luke (doxie-poo) who is mostly blind and deaf and Sunny (Havapoo) who loves to play! We also have chickens and 2 barn cats (Aster and Harvest). I currently work 2 jobs at different schools. Monday, Wednesday, Friday I work 10:45-1:45. Tuesday and Thursday I work 8:30-12. I am off during the summer hanging out with my kids and attending to their love of sports, friends and being outside! Before becoming a mom I worked at PetSmart for 12 years. I started off working with the small animals, birds, reptiles and fish (so if you need someone to watch them, we could figure something out). Then I was a general manager for the PetsHotel. We ran camp everyday for 5-50 dogs. We also accommodated over 150 dogs for overnight stays. I love meeting new pet parents and of course snuggling up with new puppy friends. I have experience with not only watching and caring for dogs but I have also dealt with medical emergency situations and know what to do. If you have a bigger senior dog or a big dog that isn't too energetic that would be fine. I would love to meet you and your pet(s)! I am still at home for the majority of the day if not the whole day. There may be a few times I would need to bring my kids with me but they will not be in the way. I will make sure that all doors are closed before letting your dog out of the crate. When walking, I like to use a slip leash as well as your own leash.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
