“Farrin is an amazing petsitter! She stayed all day with our lab (who gets very anxious when we are away) and two kitties. We were able to enjoy our son's wedding without worrying how our pets were doing. This is our second time booking with Farrin; both times she has communicated well with us before the event as well as sending us updates (texts & pictures) during the actual house/petsitting.”

“Katie watched our cat and did some house sitting for several days, and she did an amazing job! She sent picture updates that gave me so much peace of mind, and he was clearly happy, playful, and well cared for. She followed all his routines, kept everything tidy, and was great at communicating. I’d definitely recommend her and would happily book with her again!! 10/10!”

“Ronda was not only efficient and responsive, sharing twice-daily feedback about the care and feeding of our two kitties, but she was also able to establish an affectionate bond with them during our 16-day absence. We are pleased to give Ronda 5 stars and would highly recommend her.”

“Darian was amazing! She house sat for our three cats, two dogs, and backyard chickens. She gave us peace of mind knowing she was responsible, caring, and professional. She really cared for our animals like they were her own. We will definitely be asking her to take care of our girls again in the future and I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I have been caring for neighbors and friends pets for the last 15 years. I have experience with dogs, cats and many farm animals and reptile pets. I am patient with pets that may be scared or upset that their parent(s) are away. I have a flexible schedule as I am a native plant garden designer. I generally available during the week and weekends. I'm looking for steady business throughout the week. Our cat is strictly indoors. When I had my Jack Russell for 18 years (I grew up with her) she had a fenced yard and doggy door. I believe in following my clients rules and needs for their pets and treat their home with care.
About: What sets me apart is my personal experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and life stages. I’ve raised and cared for five dogs throughout my life, including Labs, Golden Retrievers, Chihuahuas, and German Shepherds, so I understand the very different needs of small, medium, and large breeds. I trained my own puppy from 8 weeks old, teaching her a wide range of tricks and good behaviors, which gave me a lot of patience and training skills. I’m also comfortable handling more challenging dogs as one of my Chihuahuas was very aggressive, which taught me how to read body language and safely manage reactive pets, from a young age. In addition, I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs. I’ve helped raise multiple dogs into old age, including a German Shepherd that lived until 15, and a Labrador Retriever that lived until 17! I understand the gentleness, and care older dogs require. Overall, I bring a lot of confidence to this role because of my genuine understanding of dogs at every stage of life. I just finished my undergrad and plan to be home all summer. I begin graduate school in the fall online and will practically have no big everyday commitments. I have a few vacations planned but besides that I am an open book willing to work anytime. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible. (Dogs know their schedule!) I follow all instructions closely and carefully for any specific care needs. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I have cared for dogs that experience extreme distress from their owner being gone and I have developed my skills to better care for dogs experiencing this. I’m also very attentive to behavior and health, so I can quickly notice if something seems off. I respect my client’s home by secure and exactly as I found it. My goal is to make both the pet, and the owner feel completely at ease, just as I would want if my dog was being watched.
About: We grew up with dogs and have been dog-sitting for thirty years. In the 90s, we had “Pampered Pets” in Boston, then we moved to Washington, DC, where we rebranded as “Top Dog DC,” and now we’re in Sperryville, VA, with “2 Dog Hotel.” Also, in the early 2000s, we raised four “Guiding Eyes for the Blind” puppies. Puppy raisers are critical to many organizations that train working dogs. Future guide dogs must be socialized in warm and loving homes, the puppies are fun, and puppy raisers learn about dog psychology and training. However, it's still not easy sending the pups off to college. Having done many "Intervac" house swaps, now we're getting into house sitting. We can take care of your pets and your home while you travel. We spend much time at home on our patio, gated deck (squirrel TV included), near a cozy wood stove, or on the nearby hiking trails. Since we spend so much time at home, keeping to your dog’s regular schedule is manageable. When we have dogs, we rarely do things where they can't join us. We only take care of one or two dogs at a time. The truth is we enjoy the pet therapy we get from dog-sitting, and the therapists seem to like it too.
About: I have had dogs my entire life, and got my own dog when I was 14. Now there are 3 dogs at my house that I take care of during the day. I am attentive to the behavior of dogs and have a general understanding of it. I currently working a part time job so I will be able to care for your animals early in the morning or in the evening. I will go on walks, play games and give your dog plenty of attention. I usually let the pets decide what activities they are comfortable doing with me, especially when they are a new client. I like to get my steps in, so I will walk your dog as little or as much as possible!
“My first experience with Rover and Candy was amazing to our three pups and cat. She was eager to meet Then before the first stay. They loved her!! I received many pictures of each of them relaxing. She kept me updated the whole time. Very thankful we found her.”

About: Hello, I have been taking care of a wide range of animals since I was 15. I’ve had 5 ferrets, guinea pigs, cats and dogs my whole life. I have a Staffordshire terrier, an American bully, and a black lab/ leopard catahoula mix. I am used to having a heavy dog on the opposite end of the leash and I am well experienced in animal body language to keep your baby and myself safe. I am currently looking for a full time job as a stay at home mom. Right now I am available during the day. The only times I will not be available is from 7:50- 8:10 am and 3:40-4:00 I will make sure any and all instructions are followed correctly to ensure adequate and safe service. Plus a few head rubs before I left.
About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 7 years, and it’s something I genuinely love. I have experience with dogs of all sizes from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra care and attention. I treat every pet like family and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Pet care is a regular and rewarding part of my weekly routine. I’m calm, dependable, and attentive to each pet’s needs making sure they get the right balance of exercise, playtime, and rest throughout the day. Pets stay in a clean, cozy, and pet-friendly space with plenty of room to relax or play, including a fully fenced yard where they can safely explore and enjoy the outdoors. There’s always someone home even if I need to step out briefly, my mom or my boyfriend, who are both equally experienced and caring with pets, are always around to help.
