About: I’ve lived on a farm my whole. Currently a veterinary assistant therefore i can give proper care to your babies! I’m great with all temperaments/sizes! I am currently employed full-time at an animal hospital! I work 3 days a week from 8AM-8PM (which days vary) I am happy to drop in before/after my shifts if I have to work during when you need my assistance! I currently am looking for an apartment but generally in the home i’ve grown up in for 20 years, I live on a farm and take care of livestock/cats/dogs!

About: What sets me apart is my personal experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and life stages. I’ve raised and cared for five dogs throughout my life, including Labs, Golden Retrievers, Chihuahuas, and German Shepherds, so I understand the very different needs of small, medium, and large breeds. I trained my own puppy from 8 weeks old, teaching her a wide range of tricks and good behaviors, which gave me a lot of patience and training skills. I’m also comfortable handling more challenging dogs as one of my Chihuahuas was very aggressive, which taught me how to read body language and safely manage reactive pets, from a young age. In addition, I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs. I’ve helped raise multiple dogs into old age, including a German Shepherd that lived until 15, and a Labrador Retriever that lived until 17! I understand the gentleness, and care older dogs require. Overall, I bring a lot of confidence to this role because of my genuine understanding of dogs at every stage of life. I just finished my undergrad and plan to be home all summer. I begin graduate school in the fall online and will practically have no big everyday commitments. I have a few vacations planned but besides that I am an open book willing to work anytime. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible. (Dogs know their schedule!) I follow all instructions closely and carefully for any specific care needs. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I have cared for dogs that experience extreme distress from their owner being gone and I have developed my skills to better care for dogs experiencing this. I’m also very attentive to behavior and health, so I can quickly notice if something seems off. I respect my client’s home by secure and exactly as I found it. My goal is to make both the pet, and the owner feel completely at ease, just as I would want if my dog was being watched.

About: I have had dogs my entire life, and got my own dog when I was 14. Now there are 3 dogs at my house that I take care of during the day. I am attentive to the behavior of dogs and have a general understanding of it. I currently working a part time job so I will be able to care for your animals early in the morning or in the evening. I will go on walks, play games and give your dog plenty of attention. I usually let the pets decide what activities they are comfortable doing with me, especially when they are a new client. I like to get my steps in, so I will walk your dog as little or as much as possible!

About: We grew up with dogs and have been dog-sitting for thirty years. In the 90s, we had “Pampered Pets” in Boston, then we moved to Washington, DC, where we rebranded as “Top Dog DC,” and now we’re in Sperryville, VA, with “2 Dog Hotel.” Also, in the early 2000s, we raised four “Guiding Eyes for the Blind” puppies. Puppy raisers are critical to many organizations that train working dogs. Future guide dogs must be socialized in warm and loving homes, the puppies are fun, and puppy raisers learn about dog psychology and training. However, it's still not easy sending the pups off to college. Having done many "Intervac" house swaps, now we're getting into house sitting. We can take care of your pets and your home while you travel. We spend much time at home on our patio, gated deck (squirrel TV included), near a cozy wood stove, or on the nearby hiking trails. Since we spend so much time at home, keeping to your dog’s regular schedule is manageable. When we have dogs, we rarely do things where they can't join us. We only take care of one or two dogs at a time. The truth is we enjoy the pet therapy we get from dog-sitting, and the therapists seem to like it too.

I currently work in the public school division, but will be free during the summer to care to the needs of any animal that I am given the opportunity to spend time with! About: Hello, I have been taking care of a wide range of animals since I was 15. I’ve had 5 ferrets, guinea pigs, cats and dogs my whole life. I have a Staffordshire terrier, an American bully, and a black lab/ leopard catahoula mix. I am used to having a heavy dog on the opposite end of the leash and I am well experienced in animal body language to keep your baby and myself safe. I am currently looking for a full time job as a stay at home mom. Right now I am available during the day. The only times I will not be available is from 7:50- 8:10 am and 3:40-4:00 I will make sure any and all instructions are followed correctly to ensure adequate and safe service. Plus a few head rubs before I left.

About: I have been caring for neighbors and friends pets for the last 15 years. I have experience with dogs, cats and many farm animals and reptile pets. I am patient with pets that may be scared or upset that their parent(s) are away. I have a flexible schedule as I am a native plant garden designer. I generally available during the week and weekends. I'm looking for steady business throughout the week. Our cat is strictly indoors. When I had my Jack Russell for 18 years (I grew up with her) she had a fenced yard and doggy door. I believe in following my clients rules and needs for their pets and treat their home with care.
