âMary has been awesome with my Blue Tick Coon Hound. He is a very strong dog and follows his nose, Mary is very capable of keeping under control. I highly recommend her from my experiences with her.â

âAmanda showed up 5 minutes early which I really appreciated. She was personal yet professional. Zoey can be a challenge to walk because of her puppiness, but she came back exercised and ready to nap. I would definitely recommend Amanda!â

About: I currently have 2 dogs. They are 11 and 12! I also have 3 cats ages 1-3! Iâm a former employee from Golden Wood boarding where I worked as a kennel tech for almost 2 years. I am very comfortable with all types of animals! I can do walking, playtimes, and administer meds! Iâve also dog sat and been relied on for my neighbors many times! Iâm currently working part time so I have plenty of time to play and spend time with your pet! My schedule is very flexible to make sure your pet gets the quality time they deserve! I care for pets by making sure they have fresh water, are fed on their regular schedule, get plenty of exercise and bathroom breaks, and receive lots of attention and affection. I follow any specific instructions provided by the owner, including medication, training routines, and special dietary needs. In a clientâs home, I want to keep pets comfortable and on their daily routine!
About: I have taken care of pets my whole life. To me they aren't just pets, but an extension of family. I am willing to help in your home with check - ins, walking and feeding. I am available to help with all pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, pocket pets, birds, reptiles, amphibians, & fish). My hours of availability are 8 am - 12 am Sun - Sat most weeks for care in your home and / or walking / check in services. I'm a homemaker and pet care is a top priority for me now, as my children are grown. My schedule is pretty open unless I have previously scheduled appointments. I prefer 48 hours or more notice for bookings. Must have a meet & greet to go over your pet care needs and how to access your home before first booking. While at your home, I will care for your pet(s) as we have discussed during the meet & greet. I will get to know your pet(s) personally while spending time with them and care for them as if they are my own. Special needs & administering medicine are not a problem. I enjoy walking leash trained dogs, playing with them and cuddles as well as head boops & cuddles with cats too. I am comfortable with the care of most common household pets, including feeding, cleaning, and routine care.
âLorie has been a wonderful dog walker for my girl, Scarlett. She has been super reliable no matter what the weather. Last week she walked Scarlett on a day when it had rained hard all day long. Iâm sure she was soaked but never complains. This week she had Scarlett out in the snow! I really appreciate her reliability as I work 10 hour shifts. Thank you Lorie!!â

I'm a full time mom but have plenty of time to check up on your animals! I have alot of availability and will be on time! I take care of my daughters dog during the week. About: Around 2000, I held this position while working at a dog training facility, Commonwealth Dog Training in VA. Experienced in dog training and dog care all my life. My pack consists of three large dogs, 50+ lbs., that regularly go to dog parks and car rides. I am transitioning in my employment and have time to spare. I enjoy working with dogs and plan to continue when I obtain a caseload. I am fluent in reading dog body language and can navigate all dogs' behaviors. Making them feel comfortable is a priority to feel safe and able to have fun.
About: Iâve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid, and I have experience with taking care of many different breeds, young and old. I love animals and will do everything I can to make yours comfortable and happy. Work is currently slow, so I have the time to give your pets all the attention they need. I am available anytime throughout the week and most weekends. I have two friendly dogs that would love to keep yours company. I do not have a fenced yard, but walk them on my private lane often, and take them to the dog park. My pets get fed twice a day, but I can feed yours as often as youâd like - they also have some treat throughout the day.
About: Although most of my experience lies in caregiving and sitting for equine/farm owners, I also have lots of experience taking care of household pets! I started letting out close friends/neighbors' dogs when I was about 10 and began staying overnights to take care of pets as soon as I had my license when I turned 16. I have more experience with larger dogs (Pitbulls, labs, Malinois, German Shepards) but have also taken care of some smaller dogs as well. Don't let me forget cats! I love sitting for households with a kitty! Nothing is more fun than playing with toys or even just laying around grooming and brushing a cat. A purr from your cat is one of my favorite sounds. There has never been a time I have not had a dog or cat in my household, currently, I have two German Shepards and two rescue kitties! I can do just about anything you and your pet need; walks, house sitting, baths, playtime, etc. I am currently home for the summer from college and will head back to college on August 27th. Since I just recently got home, I have not finalized my work schedule but I will post that as soon as possible. Anyways, I am a part-time employee so as long as your pet can be alone for a few hours at most my work schedule generally does not conflict with caring for your pet. As a competitive horseback rider, there are a few weekends that I have competitions during the day, but after assessing your pet's needs I can let you know if I am still available to help you and your pet with whatever you both need! Whenever house sitting, dog walking, potty breaks, or even playtime I always make sure to leave my client's home how I found it; clean and secure. I always make sure to follow instructions regarding the security of the home (for example what doors need to be locked/unlocked). I also always make sure the house is in the same condition as before I came as if I was never even there. I would never share keys, passcodes, etc with anyone because that would be a violation of my client's privacy and safety which I respect greatly. My main priority is to leave my clients smiling, and their pets purring or tails wagging!
About: Iâve dog sat for some families with 1 dog and others with multiple. Iâve taken care of a dog as young as a little puppy all the way to senior dog. Iâve taken care of dogs with special diets and that need medications. My family has relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. My schedule is currently free for the whole month of April. Iâm normally around my friends and family dogs every weekend so I help taking care of them when Iâm around. I care for my friends and families dogs by walking them or playing with them in their yard or house. I treat others pets just like my own. I love spending time with others pets and giving them attention.
About: I have had a cat for 5 years and spent 3 years with my parents dogs. I understand the schedule that our furry friends need to maintain a healthy happy life. I understand dogs and cats need time and patience to adjust to new people. Even dogs with social anxiety warm up to me easily. I'm currently working weekends until 6:30 pm available any time after. Monday to Thursday I'm available anytime to keep your animals entertained, safe, and cared for. When caring for clients pets I'm sure to follow their daily routine. I make sure to treat each pet with the love and respect they deserve. I will understand and respect that each pet has different needs and tailor my services to them.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
