About: I have been providing consistent cat care for my Tabby Cat for 10 years! I understand that cats have an even wider range of moods and unique personalities than their canine counterparts. Their behavior can be a little trickier to read, but this doesn't stop me from providing felines with optimal care. In fact, understanding that cats and their needs can be different from dogs has taught me the importance of evaluating cat behavior and adjusting my caregiving approach accordingly.

“Amber is a great person that is kind and caring. This is the first time I have left my cats with someone that isn’t family; she definitely made the experience positive and I know I will be calling her in the future.”

“This was the first time using Josie as a sitter. I was nervous about leaving Charli with someone that I had never met before. However, after reading her other reviews my worries lessened. Josie kept me posted throughout the day with notes and pictures which also lessened the anxiety. I hope to be using Josie as a sitter again in the near future.”

“Heinz had SO much fun with Angela and her family! Angela was great to watch him last minute and we were so happy that she did! He is still all puppy, with lots of playful energy, and he was exhausted after a fun day with Angela! So much so he fell asleep on the way home. We will definitely be reaching out to her again for doggie sitting needs!”

During the summer, I am home most days of the week. I am a full time teacher so I am off during the summer. Therefore I am very reliable and flexible with times. About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including giving medications like insulin injections. Our property has large outdoor fenced runs that give dogs plenty of space to move around and enjoy the fresh air in a quiet farm setting. injections. I’m currently focused on renovating and restoring the kennel property, which allows me to be home most of the day and provide consistent supervision and care for the dogs staying with us. We are early risers in our home and typically start the day around 7 AM with potty breaks and breakfast. Mornings are usually spent outside enjoying the property — going on walks around our 20-acre farm or spending time in the fenced runs while I do morning chores. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can see how your dog is doing and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. On our property, dogs have access to spacious individual indoor/outdoor kennel runs where they can relax comfortably. We also have several large fenced areas where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. Safety is always my top priority, and dogs are supervised during outdoor time to make sure everyone stays happy and secure
About: I have about 11 years of experience caring for dogs. From working at a doggie daycare, to an animal hospital Ive always found myself caring for other people’s pets. I have been relied on by clients, neighbors, friends and family to take full care & responsibly over their pets. I make sure their pets are happy and comfortable while updating the owners with daily photos! While working in the daycare I got a lot of experience in supervising and caring for multiple dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being, managing playgroups, and cleaning. For working in the vet med side of things I have experience assisting veterinarians and technicians, handling animals for examinations and treatments, administering medications, and providing post-operative care. Along with the broad range of pet-sitting duties, such as feeding, walking, grooming, and providing companionship for various types of animals in different settings. My day starts super early usually with the sound of tiny paws scampering around- that’s my puppy! Pringle. We do many little walks through out the day and our evenings are dedicated to his training, playtime, long walks and cuddles. I prioritize every pets safety by hazard-proofing the environment and meeting their exact needs to make sure they’re comfortable with me and happy in the environment.
“Rosa did an excellent job taking care of my boy, she took him outside on plenty of walks, fed him the exact right amount, and sent me pictures throughout the day! I would highly recommend her to anybody who needs care for their pet.”

About: When not traveling on business trips, I work from my home office, so your dog will receive 24/7 care! I’ve had dogs my entire life and my first job as a tween was pet sitting for neighbors. My current rescue dogs are Jake; a senior Coonhound mix adopted in Tennessee and Kiba, an adult Husky-Great Pyrenees mix adopted locally and is a recovering escape artist. As a former paramedic, I have the skills to administer medications and medical care, as well as to deal with any emergencies. My large backyard is fenced and has a six-foot privacy screen! Our dogs have known that I treat them well, but that I am no “pushover”. In our house, I’m the “General”! I only give a command one time. When Jake or Kiba see the stern look and folded arms, they know to obey the command. I’ve also had a cat, fish, frogs, a turtle, a rabbit, Guinea pigs and even chameleons! About: I have been caring for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens for many years. I have raised my own dog from early puppyhood to mature adulthood and her social but controlled behavior and level of training quickly caught the eye of other dog owners with young dogs. I had spent years researching dog and cat behavior, dog training, and everything related to dog breed history and care. This knowledge, along with my passion for animals, allowed me to offer services like dog training, walking, sitting, and drop-in visits with confidence and excitement even as a young teenager. This confidence and excitement along with my knowledge has only grown since then. I have experience with large breeds like Dobermans and Great Danes as well as smaller breeds like Cavaliers. Energetic breeds like Labradors and high-drive breeds like Coonhounds. When I provide you my services, its not just taking care of you and your pet(s) needs, its a reassuring peace of mind. It's a genuine relationship built on trust. Its a pleasant interaction between you and I and a lavish experience for your pet. It's knowing that I am not only making your pet's day but he/she is making mine as well. That's the difference between simply getting a job done and ensuring the care that's provided is at the next level. The level I'd want for my own sweet pets. I am currently in a season of life that allows me to be flexible and able to go the extra mile in providing the best service around! I just graduated high school and am taking a gap year. Even though I am working another job as well, now is a good opportunity to get involved in caring for your pet's various needs. I am a quick learner and am able to follow your instructions for how you prefer your pet to be cared for in your home. I can crate a dog if needed. I am able to fill your 30 minute time slot for drop-in visits with cuddles, playtime indoor and outdoor (whichever is preferred) and I understand that exercising your dog mentally is just as important as physically so I enjoy incorporating mentally stimulating factors into my visits. Training, finding treats, playing games etc.

About: I LOVE DOGS!! What more can I say? I have had dogs in my family, of my own and taken care of family dogs practically since I was born. I've been around dogs of all shapes and sizes and love all of them, no matter what! I have had experience with special diets, dog walking and even diabetic dogs (using diabetic test strips and glucometer). Sometimes I like to think of myself as a dog whisperer: I can get along with all dogs and read what they need or want. I'm also great at helping dogs to heal or get over their fears! I especially love giving and receiving loves (hugs, kisses and lots of cuddles and petting)! Give me your doggie babies! :D I would love to take care of them!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid, and I have experience with taking care of many different breeds, young and old. I love animals and will do everything I can to make yours comfortable and happy. Work is currently slow, so I have the time to give your pets all the attention they need. I am available anytime throughout the week and most weekends. I have two friendly dogs that would love to keep yours company. I do not have a fenced yard, but walk them on my private lane often, and take them to the dog park. My pets get fed twice a day, but I can feed yours as often as you’d like - they also have some treat throughout the day.
About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years, starting in middle school and continuing through college and grad school. I have experience with dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and caring for both dogs and cats. While in school, I regularly pet sat for families in Pennsylvania and built lasting relationships through reliable, attentive care. I’ve worked with pets of all ages and sizes—including dogs with health issues who require medication, special routines, or extra attention. What sets me apart is my lifelong connection to animals. I grew up in a home with pets throughout my childhood—including 4 dogs (labs and pointers), 6 cats, and 10 bunnies—so caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely love making animals feel safe, happy, and cared for. I recently started a full-time role, but the great news is I only work three days a week! That means I still have plenty of availability during weekdays and weekends for drop-ins, walks, and pet sitting. I'm happy to work with your schedule and provide consistent care for your pets while you're away or at work. Feel free to reach out with any questions or requests—I’d love to help! I take safety and trust seriously and always aim to make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I care for pets in their own home to help maintain their routine and comfort, which I know is especially important for animals who may get anxious in unfamiliar environments. I follow all instructions carefully—whether it's feeding schedules, medication, walking routes, or playtime preferences—and I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you know your pet is safe and happy while you're away. I treat every pet like my own and every home with the utmost respect, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. You can feel confident that your furry friend is in caring, trustworthy hands.
“Jacob has been a wonderful dog walker for Zoey. He makes her walking experience enjoyable and makes over her and she just loves him. He's been very punctual and has walked the dog for the scheduled amount of time.”

About: As a college student studying Zoology, animals and their care are more than a side hustle or a hobby: they’re my world. Apart from my academic coursework in animal care and welfare, I have more than eight years of personal care and volunteer experience with numerous animals, including but not limited to: cats, dogs, horses, rats and mice, hamsters, snakes, various types of lizards and amphibians, goats, chickens, sheep, cattle, and even invertebrates such as tarantulas and scorpions. Rest assured, I’ll never discriminate against your furry pal! I have experience giving oral medication, both liquid and pill, as well as insulin injections and subcutaneous fluids. I also have experience caring for elderly animals — like my 18 year old cat, Maya! I can provide feeding, brushing, hoof care, walking, exercise, medication, play time, turning out, litterbox cleaning and much more! I have a driver’s license and my own transportation, and my hours and pay are flexible. I am willing to drive 60-90 minutes depending on needs. As mentioned prior, I have extensive prior experience volunteering at various shelters, vets and farms assisting with animal care, as well as my own personal experience caring for a diverse array of pets. I am happy to gather recommendations from organizations I work with. While caring for your pet or pets, I will regularly keep in contact with you and update you with both text and photos (if desired), along with keeping a dedicated spreadsheet of feeding/watering/grooming times and overall health to guarantee your peace of mind. I am capable of providing pet care across a flexible schedule. I can provide early care from 6-9 AM in the morning and any time after 4:20 PM on weekdays, as well as 24 hour care on weekends and overnight stays if needed. I am able to care for pets in a wide variety of ways thanks to expensive experience. Walking, feeding, litter-box cleaning, playtime, as well as insulin/subcutaneous fluid injections are all possible. I can also administer medication orally. Daily checkups as well as overnight stays are both possible.
About: I’ve helped care for pets of my own and my family since I can remember. I adopted 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own almost 8 years ago now. I absolutely adore my fur babies and helping others care for theirs brings me so much joy. I also have now taken on chickens and fish as well, so I have a variety of experience. I’m currently a SAHM homeschooling my oldest and caring for my youngest. I enjoy animals of all kinds, they are my passion and would love to share that with others. Being a SAHM gives me more availability to do drop ins, walks, and care for critters. I have a fenced in yard, which is how I’ve always pottied my dogs, but I’m also happy to walk them on a leash, and have gone back and forth crating my own dog and am happy to do that as well.

“Melissa and her family were such a great place for Harper. She was able to spend time outside and off leash, as well as cozy up to the boys on the sofa - all of her favorite things.”

“Heather and her family are the absolute best! We feel totally comfortable when Brady is in her care and can enjoy our vacation to the fullest. She also sends the cutest pics. :) Thank you so much Heather!”

“Ashley did an awesome job accommodating a last minute boarding request. She sent lots of pictures and even took my pup swimming. Our pup came home happy and exhausted from so much playing!”

“Julianne is great. Her and her husband were very caring and accommodating. She sent pictures of our pups multiple times which alleviated the stress of leaving them. Would definitely have her watch our dogs again.”

“Great sitter. Carrie and Jack were very communicative and great with our two pups. They have a nice fenced in yard and two pups of their own. Will definitely book again.”

About: I have experience, taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens. I am willing to take care of smaller animals, such as hamsters, birds or guinea pigs as well. During the summer, I am home most days of the week. I am a full time teacher so I am off during the summer. Therefore I am very reliable and flexible with times. I have a fenced in yard that’s big enough for dogs to get some exercise. I have two kids who enjoy seeing and meeting new animals.
“We booked her at the last minute and she was very flexible and helpful! She and her family took really good care of our pup. We loved the photos that she sent us of our dog playing.”

“Josie and her family were very welcoming of Clove. I asked for a meet and greet since this is our first time booking her service. Our dog immediately got so excited to meet everyone that she did zoomies in their yard. We received daily updates through photos, videos and texts of how she was doing. We knew that she had a wonderful time since she came back home happy and tired. We will definitely rebook with her!”

“My dog had a great time boarding with Satsuki! It was one of my longer trips so I was worried but all those worries went away quickly. Satsuki took great care of my dog and gave me regular updates including pictures - which I love! Would definitely rebook again”

“Buddy and Daisy had a great time. It was a big plus that they had a fenced in yard, and it seems like the dogs spent a good amount of time playing outside with the other dogs, which I’m sure they loved. Daisy can be a little reserved with new people, but my husband said she was excited right away when she met Elizabeth. We will definitely keep Elizabeth in mind for future trips or dog sitting needs!”

“I just love how much Christina loves Boris! She’s super communicative and he’s always happy when we drop him at her place, which to me is the best sign that he enjoys his time with her, Willow and Meeko!”
