About: I have cared for domestic pets of all kinds - cats, dogs (all sizes), birds, turtles, lizards, etc - as a sitter and for fun. My aunt (whom my mother lives with) is a dog trainer as well as a breeder (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) 25+ yrs. I grew up volunteering my time doing puppy evaluations, crate-training, potty-training, etc. I frequently babysit my friends pets while they are away, and have cats of my own at the house! I recently resigned my job as a firefighter, and have extra time in my schedule to have a side gig I care about. Walks, hikes, runs and swims if the dog is active! I understand each pet as it’s own needs and individual personalities. I care for other pets as they were my own, and I hope to make a great fit as a sitter for you! I am available 24/7 for pet care (overnight or drop-ins) as I recently resigned from my job to move to FL with my partner. I am currently looking for a full-time job. So call me! I live in an apartment complex with a large, fenced in dog park. It’s location is safe, next to a middle school. We have plenty of empty space to watch pets over night in separate rooms, or let them roam free depending on their personal needs. Additionally, the complex is located next to an outdoor recreation area with walking trails and sidewalks.

“My Labrador is high energy and anxious in new situations. Lorraine was patient with her and did a great job getting to know her and keeping her active and happy all day. I appreciated Lorraine keeping me updated during Daisy's visit with texts, photos, and a video. Lorraine is very professional, met us prior to the sitting day for a meet and greet, and took time to give me a tour of her home/yard and review how day generally structured.”

“Dolly loves going to Brianna's house. She always looks forward to playing with the other dogs who live there, as well as other house guests. She comes back happy and content. Dolly and I both love Brianna and Nancy!”

“Very pleased with Cyndi. She welcomed our 2 Beagles with opened arms. We felt so comfortable and relaxed when we were leaving them for a day stay. We would definitely use her again with no hesitation, and would highly recommend her to all. Thank you Cyndi for making our day relaxing and knowing our pups were in great hands.”

“Gage and Annie did an awesome job taking care of our two pups! They provided updates throughout the day which we really appreciated. We will definitely be using them again.”
“Was a little anxious about it since it was my first time getting a sitter. However, Nancy and her family took all my worries away. By far my best experience with a sitter. Not only will your pet be treated as their own family, you will also get constant videos and pictures of your pets well being. I highly recommend this sitter for anyone that wants a trustworthy individual that will take care of your pet.”

“María took excellent care of Fernanda! She did an amazing job and kept me updated the entire time with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I could tell Fernanda was happy and well cared for. Thank you so much for everything—I highly recommend María and would definitely trust her again!”

About: I love dogs. Friends call me the whisperer. I lost my Princess 2 years ago to cancer and I find that this is the best medicine for me. I love to travel so having another baby right now is not in the cards. Taking care of your baby is the next best thing. I have had people fly me out to Portland, California, and New York to pet sit for them. I absolutley love it. Some of the dogs I have cared for were sick or new family members. I love to take them on new adventures but only if Mom and Dad are okay with it. I also love to train, play, and hug on them. My only job is taking care of your dog, so I am with them the entire day and night. Sometimes they will go on a golf cart ride with me. My yard is not fenced in so your dog would be walked regularly. There are plenty of grassy areas next to and accross the street from me. If there is a schedule you have for the dog that is what will be followed.
“Wonderful sitters, Bill and Krista. My wife and I had to drive from California and needed to board our five small furry ones for an afternoon while we secured housing. Bill is a gracious host with a beautiful back yard and his love for animals is very evident. Can’t go wrong with these guys. Will be using their services again.”

“Taylor was welcoming to Alexa, inviting to a meet-and-greet in advance. I needed day-sitting while workers were at our house, and Taylor was flexible with helping me work around their arrival and departure. She had quick response to my questions through the rover app. A good day for Alexa.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. When I was a little girl I would always help take care of my animals with my mother. I used to live on a farm and I have had experience with many different pets/animals. I have experience with dogs, cats, reptiles, farm animals and small animals. I also have experience with bathing, trimming nails, cleaning ears, and expressing anal glands. I can also administer medications. This is my full time job so I can do my very best to accommodate anyone who needs a pet sitter who truly cares about their pets. My wife and daughters help me sometimes as well. Our daughters are also knowledgeable in pet care from getting hands on experience through me. My wife just come with me every where I stay for Moral support. 💕 I have a fully privacy fenced in yard. If the pet is in a home without fence I will be sure to leash walk your pet for safety reasons. If your pet feels comfortable in a crate feel free to bring it. Also if there is a special toy, bed or something they enjoy or prefer they can bring it along for their stay.

“Laquitta and James have been our "go to" Rover for several trips now. We like to refer to our fur baby as a velcro dog because she sticks so close to us. But it also means there aren't many Rovers she's happy about visiting. Laquitta and James are the exception. Though she's always happy to see us at the end of her stay, she loves hanging with Laquitta and James and their little fur babies.”

About: Hi! I’m an experienced and reliable dog walker with a genuine love for animals and a passion for providing safe, attentive care. I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities—from energetic puppies who love adventure to senior dogs who need a slower pace and extra patience. I understand that every dog is unique, so I take time to learn their routines, personality, and individual needs to make sure they feel comfortable and happy. My goal is to give your dog not only exercise, but also companionship, attention, and a positive experience while you’re away. I’m dependable, patient, and committed to treating every dog like family. Safety is always my top priority, and I believe in positive reinforcement, consistency, and building trust with both pets and owners. You can count on regular updates and communication so you can feel confident knowing your furry friend is in caring hands. I look forward to meeting you and your pup and becoming someone both of you can rely on! I don’t have a daily routine or pets of my own at this time, I have learned that pet care becomes a set of repeating rhythms spread across the day rather than one big task. A typical routine often looks like this: * Morning: feeding, fresh water, a walk or litter-box cleanup, and a quick check that the pet seems normal in energy and behavior. * During the day: exercise, play, mental stimulation, bathroom breaks, and attention that matches the animal’s needs. * Evening: another meal if needed, more activity or bonding time, grooming for some pets, and preparing a comfortable sleep setup. * Less frequent tasks: brushing, nail trims, cleaning habitats or bedding, training, medications, and vet appointments. Different pets shift the balance a lot. A dog may anchor your day around walks and exercise, while a cat may need shorter play sessions and litter maintenance. Good home pet care usually includes consistent food and fresh water, regular exercise and play, a clean living space, grooming, and attention to health and behavior. Dogs often need walks and training; cats need litter-box maintenance and play. I also watch for changes in appetite, energy, or behavior because those can be early signs that something is off.
“Julia and Allen were fantastic with our boys. We love that they limit the number of dogs they care for to 4. They followed instructions to a tee and made it where we could have zero concerns about our pups. Would highly recommend them.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
