“Amanda has been such an amazing friend to Cosmo. We moved to 4th ward last week and the change was stressful on the little guy. Amanda immediately established a rapport with him and they have great walks together. She is also very punctual and communicates well.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 12. Family has relied on me to feed and walk their dogs. I would love to have the opportunity to take care of your dogs. I have given dogs oral medication and lots of loving care. During my house sitting care, I will provide actively playing with your dog and making sure they are fed. If your dog is a big napper like mine we can also take naps together. I work a full time job at the airport Monday - Friday 6am-2pm. I will be available anytime after 2pm. Since I am off on the weekends, I will be available anytime. I love taking walks and playing with dogs/puppies. If you allow your dog to go to dog parks, I will gladly take your dog there I have a dog seat cover in my car if you are comfortable with that. In my clients home, the dog is used to the home so there won’t be any problems. I will be happy to take your dog on walks throughout the neighborhood or apartment complex.

Add on services include personal pick up/drop off & bath/grooming! I also live 10 minutes from the airport, making it a convenient drop off location for traveling parents on the go! My calendar is always up to date, and my schedule is very flexible. Please feel free to reach out to me for any questions! 🐾 ——— I live on my own and work remotely from home, therefore I have the flexibility to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. I’m able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day, ensuring they feel cared for and comfortable. Whether it’s playtime, multiple potty breaks or cuddles, I can adapt my schedule to meet their needs while maintaining a safe and fun environment for them! As a lifelong dog owner, I know how important it is to provide a clean, comfortable, and safe home for pets. I recently purchased my first home in Charlotte, and it features a large fenced yard located on a cul de sac corner lot offering lots of safety and privacy. My yard is spacious, clean and ideal for my Bodhi and his friends to run, play, and even sun bathe on the deck! Bodhi is house-trained, neutered, extremely friendly with other pets, and loves to play! I joined Rover not only because of my love for animals, but also for the ability to socialize Bodhi with other furry friends in the comfort of our home. Lastly, my home is stocked with plenty of toys to keep your furry friends entertained! I live a very active lifestyle, and enjoy going on long walks, playing outdoors... About: I love dogs and cats equally. I have experience with both puppies and seniors as well as training for basic commands. What’s unique about me is that my love for animals extends to all species. I have experience with exotics, including reptiles, rodents, and rabbits. I grew up with dogs, and currently own two cats and a hognose snake! I aspire to be a veterinarian and am attending vet tech school in Fall 2026. As of now, pet sitting is the only work I do, so my schedule is very flexible. August 25th through December 15th I will be unavailable on Tuesday’s due to my mandatory veterinary lab classes. Having volunteered in animal shelters for 5 years, I have a good understanding of both dog and cat body language. Moving at your own pet’s pace is of utmost importance to me. When it comes to reactive pets, I believe that patience, reassurance, and confidence are key. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness between clients is of utmost importance to me. Having two kittens at home with sensitive immune systems means that thorough hand washing and cleaning between clients is crucial for me.

About: I grew up with both cats and dogs! I’ve dog sat for my friends and family multiple times. I have a rescue dog of my own who needs extra care and she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to my husband and I! Some might argue that I prefer pets over people and I won’t disagree. Currently making a career switch and taking time to really focus on what makes me happy! My passion for caring for animals never goes unnoticed. I have a fully fenced in yard. I have experience with crating dogs, walking dogs, cleaning up messes, and being around multiple animals at once.
About: My extensive experience in pet care includes a strong focus on providing attentive and nurturing care to animals of all ages. I have a particular knack for understanding and catering to the unique needs of senior pets, ensuring they receive the gentle care and attention they require. Additionally, I'm skilled in creating a comfortable and reassuring environment for pets, helping them feel safe and content while their owners are away! I am currently working part-time, which means I’ll have plenty of time for your fur baby! I do work some weekends so if chosen I will make sure I am 100% available! For boarding I am available whenever. We can message about a time that works for both of us! In both my home and my clients' homes, I prioritize the safety, trust, and comfort of every pet under my care. Safety measures are paramount, encompassing pet-proofing spaces, using gates or crates where necessary, and identifying and mitigating potential hazards such as cords or harmful plants. Building trust with pets is central to my approach; I establish routines that align with their habits and preferences, ensuring they feel secure and understood. This involves gentle handling, positive reinforcement, and consistent, compassionate care. Additionally, I strive to create a stimulating environment by incorporating regular walks, playtime, and enrichment activities tailored to each pet's individual needs. Maintaining a clean and tidy space is essential to their well-being, ensuring they thrive in a nurturing and enjoyable setting whether they're in my care at home or in yours!
“Genelle was a life saver. Last minute trip to Asheville without the pup so I had to find a sitter asap. She called me to gather some pertinent information since we couldn’t schedule a meet n greet in such short notice. She took great care of Onyx! Lots of pics, long walks and much needed attention and affection while we were gone! She even put on doggy tv to keep her entertained/relaxed just in case more storms were coming! 🥹”

“Wendy is a fantastic dog walker and pet sitter. She walks my dog three times a week and always makes sure to feed him during her drop-ins. She consistently sends me updates and photos, which I really appreciate. Wendy is reliable, communicative, and someone I fully trust with my pet.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for over a decade. Your furry family members will be a part of my family while under my care. There are great routes in my neighborhood for walking if the backyard isn’t the best way to burn off energy. I am experienced with oral and injectable medications if needed. My weeknights are mostly open and I have plenty of time most weekends to care for you furry family member! I am able to separate the pups during meals and have no problem with any additional mealtime requests! My goldendoodle, Nola, gets along well with other dogs and is loves having friends over to play! Blake is our go-to sitter, she's thoughtful and affectionate with my boy and very communicative. I only go with another sitter when she's not available. I wish I could clone her, as I haven't felt as much trust with the other sitters as I have with her. She's wonderful!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
