We had an amazing experience with our Rover sitter! From the beginning, communication was excellent and we felt completely comfortable leaving our pets in their care. We received updates, and could tell our pets were happy, relaxed, and very well loved while we were away. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were being treated like family. We came home to happy pets and everything was perfect. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable!

Bree by far is the best dog sitter we have ever booked with!! Our little guy was comfortable with her right away and so was I! She made sure she had all the information she needed to take the best care of him, was so responsive, and gave so many amazing updates of Baxter during her stay. She took care of him as if he was her own and I’m so thankful for that. I will 1000% be booking with her in the future and recommending her to anyone else who is looking for a sitter.

About: What sets me apart is that I’ve grown up surrounded by animals my whole life—dogs, cats, fish, and even the occasional bunny. Because of this, I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and needs. I have experience walking energetic dogs, caring for playful puppies, and making sure senior pets feel safe and comfortable. My background helps me tune in to each pet’s unique routine and give them the same love and attention they’d get from you. I am currently unemployed so I have so much free time to look after & take care of your fur baby! I am looking for side hustles to keep me busy. As of right now, I only have my one cat in my house. If there is a dog in the house he does not pay them any mind really, but I have multiple rooms to keep them separated & I can use a crate/cage as need be. I would give each animal play-time and attention from me regardless. If, I was to watch the animal in my clients home, I would adhere to whatever rules or routines my client has in place.

Brandi and Lu were excellent dog sitters. Our dogs fell in love with them immediately and I felt at ease knowing they were in good hands. We needed help with a sitter for a long trip last minute and they were so accommodating. Not only were they over communicative and followed all the instructions for our special girls, they were lovely house guests. They went above and beyond, and even brushed my fluffy dog. But most of all, my girls were happy. Will definitely be having them again! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

About: I am a loving mother of 2 and I will care for your pets as if they were one of the kids. I have dog sit before and loved it. When I was younger I use to volunteer at the animal shelter with my great-grandma and that's the reason I love animals today. I have flexible hours and can work around your schedule, anything you need I can do from dog baths to walks at the park. We also adopted a cat a couple of years ago, and we just love him to pieces. We also just adopted a dog that we have previously sat for. I currently work at a nursing home, my boyfriend and I work opposite schedules so someone is always at home with your fur babies. Also with it being summer I have my two kiddos help out. I will make sure each animal has proper care including a clean safe cozy shelter, clean water, regular bathroom breaks, going on walks for at least half an hour, who knows it could be longer, and so much more!

About: I’ve taken care of family, friend’s, and neighbor’s dogs of all shapes and sizes! I absolutely love animals, and I’m willing to do whatever your furry friend needs. We have always had pets in our house, including one that needed long term care. If administering medication is what your pet needs, I’m more than familiar with it! I especially love big dogs, but like I said before…I love ALL animals, so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have ample time to play with your animals! I run errands for my family as well, so frequent stops would be no problem! I am able to do whatever your dog needs as long as it’s at your own home. We have two cats, and it wouldn’t be smart for me to bring them here. However, walking, feeding, light grooming, and cuddling are all services that I offer!

About: I've taken care of dogs since I could remember, I personally have a dog named Baxter that I have taken care of sense I was 14 years old. I have taken care of a newfoundland poodle mix named Arlo for the past two years as well. I am currently training in my off season as a professional hockey player. I have two months off and nothing but love to give for dogs. I am in need of a summer job and this would be the perfect fit! Pet/animal care and safety is my number one priority. I know from personal experience what it is like when someone does not care for your pet when paid and expected to. I no longer use boarders because of past traumatic experiences and because of opportunities like Rover.

Have two teenage girls who adore animals and will spoil your pet rotten. Relax while you're away knowing that your special friend is well taken care of. Just be prepared that there may be some hesitation when you arrive for pick up. Whether it's an occasional sitter you need, someone to come to your home for an overnight or a fun walk once in awhile, I'm the one you need. Give me a call and we'll arrange for your little one to meet me for approval. We know that they know best.

About: I have a dog of my own and understand the responsibility that comes with taking care of your pet. I’ve always had many of pets throughout my life and would love to add your pet to my extended family. I am looking forward to showing your pet the love and attention that all humans and pets need. I live an active lifestyle so I am always out and about taking my dog on a walk. Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or night I will be walking with my pupper and would love for your pet to come along for the ride. I am a frequent attendee at the dog parks and as long as your dog is vaccinated I’m sure they would have a grand time there as well. I can feed, walk, run, and even pick up your dogs poop. I understand the responsibility that comes with pet care as I have a dog of my own who I’ve raised since he was a wee pup. I am able to work with pets of all sizes as many of my friends and family have had me watch their pets while they were away.

We had a wonderful experience with Alissa! She cared for our three dogs from Tuesday through Friday and did an excellent job. She followed all of the care instructions we provided, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. When we returned home everything was exactly how we left it, clean and well cared for. Most importantly, our dogs were happy and clearly well looked after. We truly appreciate her reliability and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!

FAQs for House Sitting - Woodburn

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Woodburn on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 225 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Woodburn. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodburn walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodburn maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodburn choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodburn. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
