About: Ive taken care of pets my entire life, but professionally over the past four years in shelter settings! I have also recently graduated with a bachelors in animal science and have gotten to meet lots of intelligent animal lovers. I love getting to know a pets personality and meeting their needs fully! I will always respect boundaries and be there to be a comforting friend to your pets! i have yet to start my full time position but my partner works 3rds so i am often left bored at times! Even when i work during the day or mornings, i have a busy brain and like to stay that way! I will always meet your pets needs fully! Each pet is individual and deserves to have specialized care that meets their needs 100%! I will always respect a pet and their home!
“So pleased with Ashley who watched our dog this weekend. She is a great communicator and always kept us informed with picture updates. She left the house in perfect condition like nobody was ever here. Super reliable and highly recommend her and we also plan to use her services again.”
“Bree was wonderful! And most important, Sophie was a happy girl and well taken care of. Bree’s experience is such a plus and, after just a short time, we felt comfortable and assured that Sophie would be in good hands. We will definitely use her services again.”

“We had an amazing experience with our Rover sitter! From the beginning, communication was excellent and we felt completely comfortable leaving our pets in their care. We received updates, and could tell our pets were happy, relaxed, and very well loved while we were away. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were being treated like family. We came home to happy pets and everything was perfect. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable!”

“Brandi and Lu were excellent dog sitters. Our dogs fell in love with them immediately and I felt at ease knowing they were in good hands. We needed help with a sitter for a long trip last minute and they were so accommodating. Not only were they over communicative and followed all the instructions for our special girls, they were lovely house guests. They went above and beyond, and even brushed my fluffy dog. But most of all, my girls were happy. Will definitely be having them again! 🙏🏻🙏🏻”

About: I have grown up with animals in my household and family for as long as I can remember. I love dogs (big and small), and have helped train the many we have had. I go to Purdue and I’m home for the summer so my availability is very open. Weekdays and some weekends all day. Just hit me up! As long as you give instructions, I will follow them closely. I have no problem handling big dogs as I am a big guy, as long as they are friendly 😊.
“Laura Rose was great - friendly and helpful. Laura was very good with our dogs, and they and our house were well taken care of. We appreciated receiving photos while we were gone. A positive experience for me and the dogs.”
About: I'm extremely patient with any dog. I always make sure they fell comfortable around me before I do anything! I am a strong walker! I also know how to make the most out of any time spent with a dog! Pet care is my number one priority for an animal I take care of! I will always make sure that the animal is the top priority when we go anywhere. I always put the dogs safety before my own. I will watch for other dogs and loose animals when we go on walks. When sitting in the past I let the parent know of the times I let the dog out or do anything with the animal. I will send many cute pictures for updates of what is going on!
“Farrah is amazing! She took such great care of Percy while we were away—super responsible, kind, and clearly loves animals. She kept us updated with cute pics and made sure everything ran smoothly. We came home to happy Percy and a tidy house. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my comprehensive experience and specialized skills in pet care. I have extensive training in puppy care, including housebreaking, basic obedience training, and socialization techniques to ensure your young pet grows up well-behaved and happy. Additionally, I have a deep understanding of senior pet care, providing gentle and attentive support for older animals with specific health needs and mobility issues. My dedication to each pet's well-being, combined with my ability to handle a wide range of needs, makes me a reliable and exceptional choice for your pet's care. I am currently a SAHM (stay at home mom) so most of my time is spent indoors or running small errands. I am more than capable of being attentive to your pets needs. I provide personalized and attentive care for pets, whether in my home or in my client’s home. In my home, I ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. I maintain a consistent routine that includes regular feeding times, daily exercise, and plenty of play and socialization. I have a pet-friendly space with areas designated for rest, play, and training. I also prioritize hygiene, regularly cleaning feeding areas, toys, and bedding. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I follow the pet’s existing routine as closely as possible to minimize stress. I pay close attention to the pet’s specific needs and preferences, ensuring they receive the same level of care and affection they are accustomed to. I keep a clear line of communication with pet owners, providing updates and addressing any concerns promptly. My goal is to provide a seamless and stress-free experience for both the pets and their owners.
“INCREDIBLE DOG SITTER. She dog/house sat our two dogs while we went out of town for a day trip. She came by ahead of time to do a meet and greet, and sent us LOTS of photos of our pups during her stay. Gave us great comfort knowing our dogs were well loved during our absence. We’ll absolutely be using her in the future.”

“Sierra watched out two dogs for the first time and we could not be happier! We received updates and pictures of our pups and felt very comfortable having her watch them! We will be using Sierra again!”

“Judy did a great job with our dog. She was very responsive to texts and kept us informed during her stay at our house. She left the house as clean as when she came. We will definitely use her again when we are traveling.”

“We booked Sarah last minute, like the day before our trip! She was quick to come over to meet us and our two beagle boys and learn their daily routine and needs. She was gracious to not only dog sit but house sit for 6 nights, and 7 days. We even added an extra night last minute. Sarah took great care of our boys, and communicated by sending us messages and pictures daily. She even vacuumed the floors and washed their blankets during the week. The house was just as clean when we arrived home as it was the day we left. I recommend Sarah for anyone’s pet sitting needs. Thank you again Sarah for the peace of mind of knowing our babies were well taken care while we were away.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 216 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Worstville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Worstville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Worstville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Worstville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
