“Julie had our two girls for a week while we were on vacation and kept us updated the entire time! They had so much fun and came home exhausted from all the play time. We have both a big dog and little dog, and we were worried about our little one getting caught up in the mix of all the bigger dogs, but she did so well! We got lots of pictures and never had to worry about if they were doing well.”

“Great folks! Very kind and welcoming. Despite Rover's efforts to make it almost impossible to contact and or find these folks, we did and we were delighted. I'd recommend them to any pet owner.”

“Heather was great with Mavis & Evie! Both are anxious and extremely needy, she did great with both! We will definitely be using Heather again for all our future trips!!!!”

“Mike and his family were very friendly. My pups had plenty of play area inside and out. They also kept me updated with photos, which was nice. Would refer you to others. Thank you, looking forward to our next meeting.”

“Renee and Gary did a great job. Goofus was not anxious on drop off at all. Renee and Gary welcomed her and made her feel at ease. I could tell by the frequent pictures that were sent. Goofus was enjoying herself Thanks for the great care and the treat you sent home. Goofus”

About: Hi! I’m Kaelin, and I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and animals my whole life. I grew up in Kentucky on lots of land and have cared for five dogs, including multiple puppies at once! I love giving pups plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles, and I’ll treat your furry family member like my own! 🐾 I’m currently a Graduate student who has 4 classes a week. I’m usually free every day of the week after 4pm. I’m also free all day Wednesday! I care for every pet as if they were my own! I make sure they have plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and cuddles while following their usual routines and any specific instructions from their owner. Growing up with dogs and caring for puppies has taught me how important it is to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away.

“Heather was great! We highly recommend her, my dog had a great time at her house which was perfect because doesn’t have steps. She send us updates and pictures daily giving us a peace of mind.”
“Courtney is the absolute best!!! Beckley was so cared for and loved that she felt like she was at home. She enjoyed outdoor time with Courtney’s pups and naps on their couch. We are so thankful for their family and that Beckley is safe when she’s there!”

“Janet was SO accommodating and loving to my dogs when I drove to visit my son for his birthday. His roomie is allergic to dogs and I couldn't bring them into their house, but he wanted to see them. Janet kept my guys happy all day while I was spending time with my child. She even let me pick them up late after I was done with the birthday festivities. I highly recommend Janet to take care of your babies if you are in the Vine Grove area. She is super sweet and kind. A+++ sitter... really goes above and beyond. Thank you, again, Janet. I appreciate you.”

“We were so fortunate to have had Robin watch Jack and Kate. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing they were in good hands. She provided them with the closest care that they have at home! We will definitely use Robin again!”

“Amy was wonderful. We had used her before and our dog loved her and the family. This was very last minute and she was so gracious to accommodate us. Our pop seems so comfortable in her care.”

“Dawn did an amazing job taking care of my fur baby. We were gone for a week and she made sure to update me on how my baby was doing through texts and photos. She even cuddled her and bought treats when she wasn’t eating the ones I brought. She and her husband were amazing caregivers for my sweet fur baby. I never worried once about whether my baby was safe.”

About: Growing up with dogs of all sizes taught me how to adapt to their unique needs, training styles, and energy levels. I currently care for two energetic, 45-pound dogs, which requires daily structured exercise, interactive mental stimulation, and consistent behavioral management. We all savor ending the night with cuddles and love. I currently work weekdays and get off around 2:30pm so I would be available after then and on some weekends. Due to my job, i'm often available when there are seasonal/holiday breaks. I also live on the base at fort knox! I have 2 dogs that are very shy around newcomers, but love to play when they are warmed up. Since I understand that going into someone's home it's scary for the new comer. I will be extra careful and make sure that they feel comfortable and safe. I do have a fenced yard. I am always around the dogs, so there are almost no times when they are left alone.
“I was so anxious about leaving Lucy overnight with someone new. Oliver really seemed to understand and appreciate that. I got nice photos of Lucy hanging out and when I picked her up they invited her back even though she stole a hamburger. Oilver did a great job with Lucy who tends to be scared of new people but I could tell Lucy got great outside time, played with other dogs and was tired when she got home. I Wil Def. Recommend and bring Lucy back when I need someone again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Withrow home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Withrow.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Withrow sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
