About: I have many years of experience with animals. As a teenager I worked at a vet for about a year were I helped clean kennels, take dogs out for walks as well as feed and clean up after them. I have also had my own pets since I was very young. Including dogs and cats as well as rabbits and hamsters. I have taken care of kittens as young as a week old to pets being days away from passing on. I am currently a stay at home mom. I have a 2 month old little boy and a 6 year old boy. I also have 2 dogs myself. A almost 3 year old beagle and a 2 year old red heeler. They certainly keep me on my toes but I am willing to take on the needs of other peoples pets as if they were my own. I know how heartbreaking it is to have to keep your pets inside alone all day while having to work or are going away and need some reliable to help with them so me being able to help you and them is something I want to be able to do. I have 2 dogs that are my other babies. While I’m home I’m constantly taking them outside for walks when I can as well as playing with them. My beagle is a cuddly girl so we definitely spend some time lounging around and cuddling on the couch as well.

Gill was able to do a meet-and-greet with us and walk Poppy on short notice! It is reassuring knowing that our puppy was able to have great care right off the get-go. Gill sent us pictures and gave us a descriptive update on how the walk went while we weren't home. We appreciate her love for animals and the thoroughness of care!

About: As a dedicated dog mom to two big boys — Tucker (95 lb Pitbull) and Roman (75 lb Boxer) — I understand that every pet has unique needs. Tucker has skin allergies, so I’m experienced with special care routines, and Roman has focal seizures and requires medication every 12 hours, which has made me very comfortable administering meds and staying attentive to health changes. I grew up with a Miniature Schnauzer, Snuggles (14 wonderful years), and our cat, Cuddles (18 years), so caring for animals has truly been a lifelong part of who I am. I treat every pet like family and know how important it is to have someone trustworthy, patient, and loving looking after them. I have open availability for anytime of day. I have a reliable source of transportation. Just let me know what times you need & I will be there. My dogs have a fenced in yard but we also take our boys out on walks around town regularly. I am comfortable walking your pet on leash.

I am a stay-at-home mom looking to make some extra income while doing something I love.. being with animals. If the dog is cat-friendly, I am open to drop-offs in my home any time. About: I’ve been a dedicated dog mom for years — I currently have three of my own, all of whom I’ve trained myself or are currently in training. I’m patient, reliable, and truly understand that every dog has their own personality and needs. I’m comfortable with everything from daily walks and playtime to administering medication and overnight stays. Whether you have a high-energy puppy or a senior needing extra care, I treat every dog like they’re my own — with love, structure, and plenty of belly rubs! Pet care is naturally woven into my daily routine—I have three dogs of my own, so caring for animals is second nature to me. My mornings usually start with feeding, walking, and some playtime or light training. Throughout the day, I schedule time for enrichment activities, potty breaks, and cuddles. Whether I’m caring for my own pets or others, I stay consistent with routines, give plenty of attention, and make sure each pet gets what they need emotionally and physically. It’s a big part of my life and something I truly enjoy! I have 3 very friendly dogs who are all crate and house-trained. They have a consistent schedule and exercise daily! We do parks, walks, hikes, swimming, and running!

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors’ dogs and my own dog for the past several years. My experience has included walking, bathing, and overnight house sitting care. I have also taken care of cats overnight. I am a college student, home for the summer. I am looking to help any time I am needed on a weekly basis until mid-late August when I return to college. I prefer not to do overnight care for longer than two nights at a time. I will also be working around my preexisting babysitting clients. I am comfortable with all types of dogs and cats, as I have experience with many different sizes and breeds. I always provide updates to my clients as needed and attentive care to the pets I look after.

I have lots of availability and plan on doing pet care full-time for the time being. I am available most weekdays and some weekends. About: Training puppies and cats can be difficult, but it can also be rewarding! I’m very good with being hands on with the animals. I don’t let them intimidate me, especially when training. It’s okay to be stern! I have plenty of time on my hands throughout the day. So there’s no issue with playing or spending time with your fur babies! Although I don’t do visits in my own home, I am more than comfortable coming to you! Any time after 9 am, and before 7 pm. Let’s take care of your babies together! I always ask if the parents have a schedule or list for their animal. Schedules are good to keep the happy and content. Every animal is different. Whether it be the food they eat, or the toys they play with, no two animals are the same.

About: I’ve been a Dog Mom for 16 years. I’ve also been entrusted to dog-sit multiple neighbors’ dogs, including a wolf/Husky hybrid named Loki; 2 “pitbull” mixes, Dicey and Scooby; and a GSD/Lab mix named Mya who has regular sleepovers at my house. I have experience giving dogs oral, drop, injectable, and subcutaneous IV medications. I take care to pay attention to the temperature outside and a dog’s needs and adjust walks accordingly (no walking on hot asphalt, make sure dogs with no undercoat are suitably dressed in cold weather, etc.). I’m a firm believer in letting dogs experience the world around them through smell, and allow them to sniff to their nose’s content on walks. If your dog is prone to pulling, please have a suitable harness available for use. (I highly recommend PetSafe EasyWalk harnesses.) NO prong, choke, or shock collars! I look forward to meeting you and your pup!! I work from home and my hours are flexible, so I am able to arrange my work schedule around the needs of you and your dog(s)! I always ensure that your dog’s collar/harness and leash are secure so they won’t slip out on a walk. I bring poop bags on every walk, and a water thermos and bowl on longer walks. Food, potty breaks, and medicine administration can all be given at drop-ins. I have experience giving oral medications, eye drops, injections, and sub-q IV drips to my own dogs, and can do so for yours as well with as much care and love as if they’re my own.

About: I've been around animals my entire life and have always had a love for caring for them. I currently have a fun, energetic 2-year-old Goldendoodle and a 7-year-old cat, so I'm experienced with both dogs and cats and understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine. Growing up with multiple dogs taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and providing plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. As a registered nurse, I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable following specific care instructions, administering medications if needed, and recognizing when something doesn't seem right. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, or simply relaxing with company, I'll treat them like they're one of my own and provide regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule because I currently work part-time, giving me flexible availability throughout the week. I'm able to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits whenever possible. I currently provide pet care exclusively in my clients' homes, where pets are most comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I take the time to learn each pet's schedule, feeding routine, exercise needs, medications, and any special instructions to ensure consistent, personalized care. As a registered nurse, I pay close attention to detail, prioritize safety, and communicate clearly. I'll treat your home with the utmost respect and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for until you return home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Wind Gap. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Wind Gap.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wind Gap. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
