About: I am a retired science teacher with a very flexible schedule. I was a Great Dane mom for 20 years and have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages. I am recently retired and still building my "new" routine, which currently has lots of time to care for your dog(s) either in your home or possibly mine. I currently have no pets (my dog in passed in July, 2023) and I hope that my work with Rover will bring some extra joy to my days as well as those of your dog(s). I also enjoy hobbies such as golf, daily workouts/walks, and reading. At my home, I have a beautiful back yard that is great for quick walks or potty breaks on leash. The local park is only a 10-minute walk away. My large deck is a great place for dogs to get some fresh air, weather permitting. The main level of the home is mostly hardwood floors. I have plenty of space for a crate and food/water bowls. About: Myself and my family have had dogs and cats for decades, I come from a line of dog breeders and have lost track the number of dogs I have trained and taken care of. I cannot board for longer than 12 days at a time. I work IT and can WFH when required. My cats go between my X and I so when they’re not around I can give them plenty of attention. I can’t board for longer than 12 days I’m very loving and active. I will spoil them rotten and give them plenty of attention should they need it. My cats get along great with other cats and dogs if you’d like them to have some company.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
