“Polina was great! This was the first time someone we didn’t know watched our 11.5 year old Lola, and it went smoothly. We received pictures during her stay as well! Highly recommended!”

“Angela did an amazing job taking care of Gigi. Gigi was a happy tired girl when I picked her up from having so much fun. Highly recommend. I look forward to using Angela again.”

“Tracy was nothing short of amazing! From drop off to keeping up with daily check ins, pictures etc. She made my husband, myself and our fur child absolutely comfortable with the whole process. He even got to attend a “pawty” while we were away ? 12/10 recommend”

“Christine & Matthew were great! Easy to book with and sent pictures of our girl enjoying her time with their kid! Bonnie left happy and it was a relief not having to worry about her on our quick trip.”

“I am so glad I booked a stay here for my dogs. Teresa was great with letting me know what was going on and very responsive when I sent a message. The space they have for dogs is cute and it is clean. Ruby and Baxter were well taken care of. You won't regret booking Teresa and Dan to look after your dogs.”

“We are very pleased that our dog was in caring hands. We regularly received photos and updates about her well-being. This was our first experience being apart from our pet, and we understand that it was unusual for her and possibly accompanied by some difficulties. But the team managed everything and showed great care. At the end of her stay, our dog even received some lovely gifts. We are very grateful for this and will definitely turn here again next time. Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️”

“Our dog loves staying with Sue. She takes such good care of him and has a lovely home with a backyard that he can't get enough of. We cannot recommend Sue enough.”

“Elizabeth is great! She is super caring with our needy dachshund. She is also kind enough to keep him separate from the bigger dogs. We’ve sent our Alex to her for a couple of family vacations, and for sure we will again! Thank you!”

“Jeanne was amazing! We needed to go out of town for the weekend and were nervous about leaving our dog with someone since we’ve only had her for about a month. Jeanne was so kind and asked us to have our dog meet her dog first so we could see if it was a good fit. This was reassuring to us, rather than folks who accepted right away. Jeanne kept us informed and sent updates throughout the weekend. We are definitely going to reach out again if we’re in need of a sitter”

“I felt very comfortable leaving Jackson with Amber. She was communicative and sent pictures. Jackson seemed very comfortable at her home and I felt good knowing he was being taken care of.”

“Brent was great to work with - very flexible, and very patient with my anxious boy. Did a great job communicating and was very accommodating in working with me and my daughter on drop off/pick up times. Buster was in great shape when he got home, got all of his medications on schedule, and when my daughter picked him up she said he looked very happy... will definitely look forward to trusting my bestest boy with Brent again in the future!”

“Krissy was amazing! I wish I could give more stars! From the first meet and greet I knew she was the person to watch our baby! She sent pictures daily and kept us posted on Ella’s daily happenings! I felt comfortable and never once was worried! I think my little girl is missing Krissy and her husband Jim! We most certainly will use Krissy again and again!!!! If you are in need of someone to watch your beloved pet look no further…..Krissy is amazing and the sweetest!!!!”

About: I have cared for my own dog for the past 13 years and sadly he died in February 2025. I walked him around my neighborhood consistently for all those years and now having that routine gone is difficult. Before having him as my own, I also helped take care of my families dog for several years. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and demeanors and all sizes too :) I am attending SUNY Cortland right now and that is the only large barrier in my weekly schedule. I can care and/or walk dogs after 7pm on Monday and Wednesdays. I am available after 4pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday I can provide care all day with a days notice. Without notice I will most likely be working on Friday and therefore not available until after 4pm that day. I can house-sit on Fridays and Saturdays and into Sunday afternoon as well! I will maintain a safe and calm environment for your pet while caring for them and allow them to initiate any desired games or actions. I am willing to accommodate however you prefer for your dog when caring for them, just let me know of anything necessary :) Any questions or concerns for your dog's care are welcomed and appreciated as I prefer a heads up in advance of anything unusual or to keep an eye out/for. Thanks :)
“Eleanor had a phenomenal time staying with Leanna and Roxy! Eleanor settled right in and thoroughly enjoyed play time with Roxy. I highly recommend Leanna and look forward to having Eleanor stay with her again.”
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Williamstown
Carrie and her husband took excellent care of my almost 16 year old pug. I haven’t left her with anyone else in a very long time so was a little nervous, for both her and the sitter. She kept me updated with texts and pictures and was told she was just fine. I’m hoping she can go there again when I need overnight stays.

I left my almost 16 year old pug with Carrie and her husband while I traveled for 10 days to visit family. I know she was in great hands, she’s usually a little nervous at first but ran right up her steps when I got there as she’s been there before short term. Carrie sent me messages and pictures often enough. She got lots of outdoor time, was tended to her older age needs, and even got to sleep next to them as she’s used to it at home. I feel very lucky to have found her through Rover and I’d highly recommend her and her husband!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Williamstown home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Williamstown.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Williamstown sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
