“I recently had the pleasure of hiring Jacklyn to take care of my dog, Hazel Grace, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Jacklyn was incredibly professional, punctual, and caring, making both Hazel Grace and me feel at ease. From the moment we met, it was clear that she had a genuine love for animals. She took the time to understand Hazel’s routine, preferences, and any specific needs. Hazel Grace is usually quite shy around new people, but Jacklyn’s warm and gentle approach quickly won her over. During the time Jacklyn looked after Hazel, she provided regular updates, including photos, which reassured me that everything was going well. It was evident that Jacklyn was not only ensuring Hazel was fed and exercised, but also showering them with affection and attention. I was particularly impressed with Jacklyn’s attention to detail. When I returned, Hazel was happy, healthy, and clearly well-cared for. Overall, I highly recommend Jacklyn to anyone in need of a reliable and compassionate dog sitter. Her dedication and love for animals truly shine through in her work. Thank you, Jacklyn for taking such wonderful care of Hazel Grace!”

About: My whole life, I've grown up with cats and dogs (tabby's and pit-bulls to be exact). I have trained 3 puppies (basic commands like sit and stay) and have taken care of one senior dog (18) and a senior cat (17). Very flexible weekdays and weekends. Open to early mornings and late nights. Just communicate your needs and I will do my best to accommodate you. Pets are always cared for in a safe, clean, and supervised environment, whether in my home or yours. I remove hazards, maintain routines, and prioritize comfort, security, and trust. In clients’ homes, I respect all instructions, keep spaces clean, and ensure pets feel comfortable and well cared for at all times.
“Luciana was wonderful!!! She sent updates everyday. My girl was one happy dog while staying with them. My husband said we will have to go to Myrtle Beach more often since we found someone we felt comfortable with. Thanks again!!!”

About: Hi! My name is Alyssa, and I'm 28 years old. Animals have been one of the biggest parts of my life for as long as I can remember, and I've spent all 28 years of my life with animals by my side. If you're looking for someone who will care for your pet like they're part of the family, you've come to the right place. I work from home full-time as a part-time mental health therapist and spray tan artist, which means your pet will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, and one-on-one attention throughout the day. My home features a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor play, plenty of toys and puzzle activities, and even a dog ramp for senior pets or those who need a little extra support. A few things that make me different: 🐾 Home full-time — your pet won't spend the day alone 🐾 Fully fenced backyard 🐾 28 years of living with and loving animals/pets 🐾 18+ years of hands-on pet care experience 🐾 Veterinary hospital experience (approximately 1 year) 🐾 Comfortable administering medications and injections 🐾 Experience with senior, special-needs, and post-surgical pets 🐾 Experience with tripod dogs and mobility challenges 🐾 Bathing, brushing, ear cleaning, and basic grooming experience 🐾 Toys, enrichment puzzles, snuffle mats, and interactive activities provided 🐾 Experience caring for cats, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and other small animals 🐾 Frequent photo and video updates for pet parents Animals have always been one of the greatest joys in my life. In addition to spending my entire life around dogs, I worked as a kennel attendant at a veterinary hospital in North Charleston, where I cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, temperaments, and medical needs. One of the reasons pet care is so meaningful to me is because I recently lost my beloved Golden Retriever, Cooper, in early June 2026 after a courageous battle with osteosarcoma. Cooper taught me more about patience, resilience, and unconditional love than I could ever put into words. Throughout his journey, I cared for him through amputation surgery, chemotherapy, physical therapy, medications, and mobility challenges, giving me firsthand experience caring for pets who need a little extra support and understanding. While I know I'll have another dog someday, I'm taking some time to grieve and heal before making that decision. For now, I would love nothing more than to share my home, attention, and affection with pets who deserve all the love in the world. Caring for animals has always brought me so much happiness, and I genuinely miss having furry companionship around the house. As a mental health therapist, patience, empathy, communication, consistency, and attention to detail are qualities I use every day—and they're qualities I bring into pet care as well. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pet with someone else because I've been that pet parent. Whether your pet loves long walks, backyard adventures, enrichment games, couch cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I'll do everything I can to make them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home. When your pet stays with me, they're not just being watched—they're becoming part of the family. ❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, enrichment activities, medication administration if needed, and plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day. One thing that makes my care a little different is that I do not currently have any pets of my own in the home, and I do NOT take on multiple Rover boarding clients at the same time. This means your pet receives individualized attention and isn't competing with other animals for affection, supervision, or care. Because I am home most of the day, pets staying with me are rarely left alone for extended periods. Whether your pet enjoys playing in the backyard, working on enrichment puzzles, going for walks, or simply relaxing nearby while I work, they'll have plenty of companionship and attention throughout their stay. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, loved, and as close to home as possible while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I live in a pet-friendly home with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play, explore, and exercise under supervision. Because I work from home, I am able to closely monitor pets throughout the day and quickly notice any changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, mobility, or overall well-being. Unlike some boarding situations, I do not currently have any pets of my own in the home, and I intentionally limit the number of Rover bookings I accept at one time. In most cases, your pet will be the only Rover guest staying with me. This allows me to provide individualized care, reduce stress, minimize the risk of conflicts between animals, and ensure your pet receives my full attention. Before every stay, I take time to learn your pet's routine, feeding schedule, medications, favorite activities, sleeping preferences, and any special needs. I am comfortable administering oral medications and injections, including insulin, and I have experience caring for senior pets, post-surgical pets, tripod dogs, and pets with mobility challenges. Inside my home, pets have access to comfortable places to relax, enrichment activities, snuffle mats, puzzle games, toys, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I also provide regular photo and video updates because I know firsthand how reassuring it is to know your pet is safe and happy while you're away. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, loving environment where your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and treated like family.

About: My family and I are Christians. I was making plans to get my son a dog once he started working this summer. His big sister, who is now 20, worked at Ripleys Aquarium before she joined the Airforce a year ago. He wants a job there this summer just so he can learn more about animals. He is a natural around dogs and other animals. He is an honor role student who wants to be a vet one day. While I was out walking in my neighborhood, I ran into a sweet lady who told us about Rover.com. I thought how perfect is that. We get the love and warmth of a dog, and I will be able to teach my beloved son about responsibility and helping others. Your dog will get the love and care that you would expect and will be completely safe with us. The last dog I owned was a Staffordshire Terrier. We loved him. His resting place is in my home Bermuda.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 166 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Williams Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Williams Hill commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
