“Bridget did a great job house sitting and taking care of our pups! She sent pics every day or two so we could see the pups and she went the extra mile picking up the yard from the dogs, checking the mail and cleaning up some before she left. Thank you and awesome job.”

“Paige did a great job with the house and 3 dogs for a week long assignment. I especially appreciated that she took out the trash and started the dishwasher before she left! I would recommend Paige to anyone needing someone to housesit with their dogs. Thanks Paige!”

“Melissa had great communication and took great care of our Labradoodle and Beagle. The weather was nice so our beagle was in and out constantly. Beagle shenanigans! We will definitely use Melissa again. I couldn’t provide additional feedback since it was grayed out but house was as we left it with no issues. Thank you, Melissa!”

“Rachel was amazing. She was very accommodating and communicative. She treated our pets like her very own and she is definitely a dog lover. We will definitely hire her again. Thank you Rachel!!”

“Kennedy did a great job watching our pups while we were out of town! She really treated our girls well and made sure they felt loved while we were away! She provided lots of pictures and a video of our pups playing! We will definitely ask Kennedy to take care of our pups again in the future!”

About: Hi👋 I'm Jill. I grew up on a farm and have always been around dogs & cats. I currently have two cats of my own. They were both strays and came into my life at different times. I love interacting with all types of animals. Since I can't have a dog of my own yet due to living situations, I would love to take care of yours! My sister and brother in-law have two dogs that I watch when they go out of town. One is a bigger 70 lbs Australian Shepard and the other is a smaller 10 lbs toy poodle. I hope to bring peace of mind to you and happiness & excitement to your pets. I work full time, but am available anytime on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays most weeks. 6 a.m. is the earliest I'm available and 10:30 p.m. is the latest. Availability breakdown: Sundays- Before 11 a.m. after 5:30 p.m. Mondays- After 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays- 6 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. (Anytime) Wednesdays- After 3:30 p.m. Thursdays- 6 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. (Anytime) Fridays- Before 8:45 a.m. after 7:30 p.m. Saturdays- 6 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. (Anytime) My two cats are grazers so they get fed twice a day and eat when they get hungry. They have a water fountain that circulates the water to mimick a stream. They seem to enjoy moving water better than still standing in a bowl. When I watch my sister & brother in-laws dogs I take them for walks twice a day and we play & cuddle. I work on tricks with them too. I normally use their dry food as treats if we work on tricks for a while.

“Aubrey was perfect really helped me when I was in a bind and I truly appreciate it! I'm forever grateful honestly. I think Mocha had a great time too! So that's always great! Would defiant recommend!”

“Latasha was wonderful! From the beginning she came for a meet and greet and got down on the floor with my Percy! She asked very specific questions about his routine and wanted to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. During her stay she was very interactive with Percy. Took him on outings and walks and made sure he had plenty of play time and attention. On a night of a storm she let Percy sleep in bed with her to help comfort him!! Any concerns she had she messaged me immediately. She was great about sending updates and pictures to make sure I felt he was in good hands which definitely decreased my worries. Latasha treated my home with respect and left my home just as she found it. She even helped me with my newly planted garden to ensure it stayed watered while I was away. I will definitely use Latasha again in the future.”

About: I’ve worked at a pet store for over 2 years, and I’ve been a dog bather for about half a year. I’ve always had pets my whole life but i’ve learned so much about our fur babies in the past few years. It’s something that I can do on weekends nights, and on weekends depending on school and my work schedule. Im pretty open though on most nights! I have a fenced yard with a big german sheppard, and two black cats that roam the house. I am always with my animals to keep them company and keep up there needs.
About: My family first got a dog when I was 7 years old and I have had a dog in my home ever since. I have dogsat many times before alongside helping take care of my family dog. I love all dogs and would love to be able to watch yours! I am just finished my sophomore year of college and I am home for my summer break. I have a very flexible schedule during my break so my availability is wide ranging! I have been helping take care of my family dog since I was 7. I walk, feed, play, and of course cuddle with him all the time and I would give your dog the same care and attention that I give my own!

“We are a repeat customer for Ginger. Ginger has a love of animals and especially our 80 pound Doodle, Lupin! We can always count on her taking excellent care of Lupin and our home when we are away. Everything is always perfect when we get back home. Looking forward to our next trip in which we will again be using Ginger! Thank YOU!”

“Billie did an amazing job with our babies, she was very great communication and sending pictures. I would definitely use her again. Thanks for you love care Billie”

About: Between having pets of my own and caring for family and friends pets, I’ll treat yours like my own! I grew up with dogs and cats. I currently have two cats of my own! As of now, my availability is open for all days and times for animal care. I am wanting to fill up my pet sitting calendar! As I have cats of my own, I do not offer care in my home. But I can do occasional over nights in yours if needed! I am very respectful of your area and am happy to tidy up after pets if needed.
About: I have taken care of animals since I was about six years old. I always watched neighbor's animals and cared for them as well as family and friends. I have no issues with giving medications orally to an animal and getting them their exercise in a backyard, going for a walk, or even going to the dog park to go have fun. My goal in life is to pursue a career working with animals while caring for my children. I am currently working 9-5 while I am going through college. Tuesdays, I am not available from 2 PM to 315, but before and after that I am available. I am also available before work and after work to care for your pets. I am comfortable with using a dog lead if your pet requires it or just taking them on a walk if you do not have a fenced in backyard. If you have animals that have separate foods, I am perfectly willing to separate them in different locations in order for them to eat their own as I have to do this with my cats given 2 of them have urinary issues.
About: I’ve lived in a home with three or more pets for my entire life, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to sweet senior companions, and I understand that every pet has their own unique personality and needs. I also worked at a 24-hour emergency animal hospital for over a year, where I gained hands-on experience caring for animals in a fast-paced clinical setting. I’m currently in school to become a credentialed veterinary technician, which has expanded my knowledge of animal health, behavior, and compassionate patient care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities while they’re in my care. I am currently in-between jobs, but actively in school through Penn foster so I have a relatively open a flexible schedule with proper notification ahead of time! I currently take lewie on walks fo outdoor enrichment ant local parks or we play fetch in the house! We do monitored potty breaks in the back yard. Sadly I will not be able to bring your pet to my home as I have a very reserved shy little guy here who isn’t too kind to others and doesn’t adjust well, but I will be glad to care for your fur baby at your home!
About: I focus on personalized care for every pet, whether it’s keeping up with a playful puppy’s training routine or giving extra patience and comfort to senior pets. I pay close attention to their behavior, stick to their normal schedule, and make sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I’m currently unemployed as of right now so I’m available anytime! Monday - Friday Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine, so I’m able to plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, and check-ins. I make sure pets get consistent attention throughout the day and adjust my routine as needed to meet each pet’s needs. I care for pets by keeping their routine as consistent as possible, whether they’re in my home or theirs. In a client’s home, I follow feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions to help pets feel comfortable in their own space. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision. I always make sure pets get lots of affection and updates are shared with owners.
About: I've grown up around animals. Ive wanted a cat since I knew they existed, and since getting my first cat, I've taught him to sit, sit pretty, high five, and jump through hoops. Currently fostering a second with a compromised immune system, so I am no stranger to anxious pets, or pets with a complex care system. I work a part time job and have classes from 10 am - 215 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ive got my own cats, so ill spend at least hour and a half or so each day spending time with them and doing chores at home, anything else is free time to spend with your pet. Ive got lots of energy to play with your dog and love to cuddle. I can keep a steady schedule with food, bathroom, play, etc. Also able and willing to do routine hygiene like tooth brushing, baths, and other grooming procedures.

FAQs for House Sitting - Wilkie
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,626 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wilkie. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wilkie walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wilkie maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wilkie choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wilkie. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
