“Communication with Kristin was excellent throughout our experience. She truly cared for 2 dogs beautifully. We very much appreciated Kristin's ability to put us at ease with our 1st time using Rover.com.”

“Toni is so sweet and helpful! She was always so flexible with our changing schedule and I know our dog was in good hands. He always looked so happy in all of the pictures she sent!”

About: I’ve grown up with different animals, from cats and dogs to rodents and fish. I have experience administering medication, simple training and of course tons of play time! I have experience with young to adult and senior animals. My schedule is open Friday nights to Sunday nights as I work full time during the week days until 2:30pm. Anytime after 2:30pm on a weekday is open as well! My yard is fenced though small but plenty of room to release the zoomies! Caring for animals is a passion and I take as seriously as if it was my own pet. My current dog has some health issues that require home cooked foods and daily medication, so I am no stranger to the extra but rewarding work that animals are!

“April is very easy to get along with and gave excellent care to our cat Miss Pepper. April sent me pictures of our feline at each visit and informed me of package deliveries. Upon my request she checked the water taps drip to ensure the water doesn’t freeze. I highly recommend her.”

“Autumn was great! Very responsive and so helpful for our first rover experience! She was patient with our sometimes rowdy dogs and made them feel at ease. Will definitely keep her in mind for any future sitting needs!”

“Debora was greet at communicating during her drop ins this week! Loved all the updates and adorable photos. My girls can’t wait to spend the weekend with her tomorrow!”

“I always feel at ease leaving our fur babies with Candace! Always very thorough, sends updates with lots of pictures, and takes care of our kitties like they are her own! We would never book with anyone else! 10/10 recommend!!”

“We had a great experience with Andrea! We have medically complex cats who need a combination of pills, injections, and supplements, and she did a wonderful job making sure everyone received everything they needed. She was very attentive and clearly took their care seriously, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Our travel plans also changed unexpectedly when our flight was canceled, and she was incredibly flexible and understanding when we had to adjust the booking at the last minute. We really appreciated both the quality of care she gave our cats and how easy she was to work with, and we would absolutely book with her again.”

“She was very nice and my cat seemed to really like her. We were nervous to leave him alone for so long but seeing how well he warmed up to her really eased our nerves.”

“Elizabeth is an amazing Rover! She cared for our senior cat and provided compassionate care. She was very responsible and followed all instructions perfectly. She sent us daily photos and updates. We came home to a very happy cat and everything was left neat and orderly. We appreciate you Elizabeth! Thank you so much! 🐈”

“We had a great meet and greet experience. It was clear she genuinely love animals and took the time to get to know our dog’s personality and needs. Rocky especially loves the back scratching and cant wait for more! I felt comfortable and confident moving forward and would absolutely recommend her to other pet parents.”

“Katherine took great care of our Sally. Communication was excellent and she followed instructions well. She is reliable, we look forward to working with her again and would highly recommend.”

About: Growing up in a house with a variety of pets taught me that animals aren't just pets—they're family. With a psychology background, I use positive reinforcement to bring out the best in every dog. I'm currently caring for my two middle-aged and senior dogs who need 10 daily medications, so I understand both puppy energy and gentle senior care. As a fellow pet parent and nature lover, I know how important it is to find someone who truly gets it. Your dog will get the same love and attention mine do—because that's what they deserve. I recently left my corporate job to seek a healthier lifestyle. I am in the process of building a business which gives me lots of flexibility to care for your dogs needs at any hour. Early mornings, mid-day, late evenings and even overnight! Just reach out and we will make it work! Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities in their own familiar environment. I keep your home secure with doors and windows properly locked, and I'm mindful of any specific safety concerns you've mentioned about your pet or property. I stick to your pet's exact routine—feeding times, walks, medications, everything—because I know staying consistent helps them feel secure when you're away. It's just me giving your furry friend the one-on-one attention they deserve in the comfort of their own space. I treat your home with the same respect I'd want for mine. I'll handle small tasks like watering plants or bringing in mail, and I always leave everything exactly as I found it. You'll get regular photo updates so you can see your pet is happy and relaxed at home. With experience caring for my two senior dogs who need daily medications and close monitoring, I know how to spot when something's off with a pet's behavior or health. If any concerns come up, I'll contact you right away. Your pet gets the same attentive, loving care I give my own-because home is where they're most comfortable.

Toni was great. She did everything I asked her to do. Our cat Hemi came around which usually she would stay hidden so apparently she liked Toni as well. I loved getting the pictures, that was really neat. Also getting text messages and knowing our pet was safe and taken care of. We give her five stars and will definitely use her again next time we go away. Kudos to ROVER ☺️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wilderness Corner. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
