“We absolutely love Rachel! She kept us up to date on our fur babies, sending cute photos and kind notes with each rover card. Our dog and cat were well loved while we were out of town.”

“Our kitties loved Tim, and they were very happy and calm when we returned home. He provided lots of play time for the younger cats, and lots of photos while we were away. I think they were disappointed it wasn't Tim when we walked in the door!”

About: Just hopping back on here after a couple years and am ready to get back to it for any of your pet care needs. I’ve taken care of many different types of animals growing up on a farm. I have two australian shepherd and two cats myself all of which i’ve raised and trained from babies. I’m currently staying at home so I have a very flexible schedule for drop in visits and all your pet sitting needs. I can be available at most times for walks, potty breaks and other pet needs I have a large fenced in yard and two dogs to provide plenty of playtime for your pets experience. I am also available for pet sitting in home
“Allison was a fantastic sitter for our cat Millie! She was very attentive and communicative throughout our trip with daily updates. I knew that Millie was in good hands and she sure showed it once we returned home. Will book again!”

“I loved this service. It was very comforting to see the pictures and reports with how Teddy was. Justus was very good with Teddy and even brought my mail and deliveries in while I was away!”

“Christina is truly caring and patient with our cat Spaghettio. She was so kind and made even such a shy cat warm up to her right away. She replies right away and always has your pets interest in mind. I highly recommend Christina!”

About: I’ve taken care of all pets for my family, immediate and extended, for the past 15 years! Within the last 2, I’ve adopted my own border collie, Pebble. I’ve gone through multiple training centers with a high energy, high anxiety herding dog to give her a job and help me understand her needs better. I grew up with breeds that were family oriented, and hadn’t realized the special world of working dogs. On this journey I’ve come to sympathize with the frustrations we face trying to find care for our very, very particular fur-babies. I have come to be a resource for those within my community that have dogs just like my own, and need a different level of care when finding a sitter. I hope that my experience with outgoing family dogs, and those with higher maintenance can be a resource for you as well. I’ve just completed a Bachelors of Science in Biology, and I’m interviewing for Doctorate of Pharmacy programs currently. I am looking for purpose this summer, and knew that being a trustworthy resource for fellow pet owners would benefit both parties. In this heat, I currently walk my own dog three times daily and play frisbee morning and evening when it cools off a bit to work out that energy. I have dog training every Thursday at 6:00 PM to continue to do better for her and the pets I watch. I am mostly open throughout the day to be available as needed. I provide a calm, structured, and attentive environment tailored to each pet’s routine and personality. I prioritize safety by closely monitoring pets during walks, feeding, play, and rest, while following all owner instructions regarding medications, training, and behavioral needs. I keep spaces clean, secure, and free of hazards, and I pay close attention to stress signals or changes in behavior. My continued training classes for my own dog has strengthened my ability to remain patient, detail-oriented, and responsive to each animal’s individual needs. Overnight House Sitting Policy To provide the best care for both your pets and my own, I do not stay overnight in clients’ homes. During house sitting, I’ll be there for your pets’ evening routine, including dinner, playtime, cuddles and a final bedtime potty break before I head home. I’ll return approximately 8 hours later for their morning potty break, breakfast and morning routine. Your pets will still receive plenty of love, attention and consistent care throughout the day, and I’ll always communicate with you through updates and photos so you can feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. This schedule allows me to be there for my own dog and family while continuing to provide dependable, attentive care for yours.
“Mackenzie is super reliable and I trust them to give my dog the care she needs and be in my home while I’m at work! I love getting the videos and pictures that they send me”

“Olivia took great care of my cats while I was on vacation. She made sure they their litter box was clean and they had food and water. I really appreciated all the pictures Olivia sent me too. I will definitely book Olivia again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 425 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Wick. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wick. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
