I was initially apprehensive about leaving her in a home with other dogs, but any concerns quickly disappeared when Peaches started playing with her new friends before we could even leave. Throughout the stay, Michelle provided daily photos and kept us updated on Peaches's eating habits and potty activities, which gave us great peace of mind. Peaches also enjoyed plenty of exercise, including daily walks on the nearby trails. It's clear that Michelle genuinely cares about the pets she watches and treats them like part of the family. I highly recommend her services and will definitely be using her again in the future!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and adopted my own pup during Covid—the best decision I ever made! I love spending time with animals and regularly care for family and friends’ pets. I’m responsible, reliable, and will make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m available 7 days a week and can accommodate most schedules. Whether it’s early walks, midday check-ins, or evening care, I’m always flexible and reliable to meet your pet’s needs. I successfully trained my own dog and am very comfortable caring for pets at all stages, including those who use crates, are still potty training, or need extra patience and consistency. I understand that every animal has unique needs and will provide kind, attentive care tailored to their routine.

About: I have always had dogs growing up, but as an adult I gained more experience with dogs of all sizes, cats, rodents and reptiles. I currently have a senior chihuahua who is 16 years old, a 1 year old chihuahua, a 3 year old border collie mix, as well as 2 cats. I have professional experience with dogs of all sizes, and have cared for a variety of pets. I stay up to date with researching animal behavior and health and feel comfortable caring for pets with special needs. I get off at 4pm on weekdays and never work weekends or holidays, giving me lots of availability to care for your pets! If you book a boarding or daycare service with me on the weekend, I will be home to provide frequent potty breaks and exercise as well as all the belly rubs they might want. I offer check-ins at the client’s home as well as boarding at my home. If boarding your pet at my house, it is important to know I have dogs and cats if my own as well as a young child. I am happy to discuss all requests and rules related to caring for your pet, as I see them as family! I understand how important it is to have a trustworthy caregiver that will take your pets on safe walks, feed them the appropriate amount, and ensure their needs are met. I have a large fenced in yard allowing pets to get plenty of exercise while I watch them.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
