“Joanne checked in and fed our three cats. She was so professional and kind enough to spend some time playing with the cats! I will definitely be booking her again. She is great and it put my mind at ease to know she was checking in on my cats!”

About: With a lifetime of experience around animals, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets. I’m happy to work with dogs of all ages, including puppies and seniors, as well as cats, rabbits, birds, chickens, and other small animals. I have a flexible schedule that often allows me to accommodate same day visits and short-notice requests. I’m committed to providing care based on your pet’s needs - whether that means walks, feeding or playtime. I’ll also send regular photos and updates so you can feel confident your pets are happy and well cared for! Im a stay-at-home mom, so I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide pet care any day of the week. I’m often available on short notice for walks, drop-in visits, or last-minute plans. At this time, I will provide care in your home, where your pet can stay comfortable and keep their normal routine. I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of love and attention. I can also send photo updates, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. 🐾
About: Hi, I'm Aly! I am available for dog walking and drop-ins; I am also open to taking care of your cats.I have experience administering insulin as well since my cat has had diabetes. I have a large fenced in yard they could run around in. I have about 10 years of pet care experience (walking, feeding, potty breaks, etc). I will walk your pup as often as you like. Being a pet owner I understand what an important part of the family our dogs are, and would provide the best care possible. I have owned dogs my entire life, and will treat your fur baby like it is my own and we'll have the best time! I will always keep you updated with pictures & status updates :) I am very patient, responsible, and punctual.... I can't wait to meet you and your pup! Looking forward to hearing from you! My schedule is really open and flexible right now. I can make myself available anytime during 8AM - 5PM but I can be flexible if needed. As a remote worker and proud cat parent, I’m used to structuring my day around feeding schedules, playtime, and regular check-ins. Whether it’s giving morning meds, refreshing food and water, or simply providing some companionship, I enjoy making animals feel safe and loved. Caring for pets isn’t a chore—it’s a rewarding part of my everyday life. In both settings, I prioritize open communication with pet owners to understand each pet’s unique needs and preferences, ensuring a personalized and caring experience for every pet.
About: I’ve checked in on multiple pets before. Friends and my own family and relatives message me to come in, walk their dog, feed and give them water, and keep them company for a while! I love pets so when I found out I could get paid for it, I was astounded! I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own, with tender love and care. I am a working college student at the moment, so I would be working part time. I would make time for my clients though, especially how I often have time in between my classes and I also have time after school during the week and on weekends. While I currently do not offer pets in my home, I will respect your home by keeping it clean and untouched by the time I leave. Now I will keep your pet company if that is the service you’d like and by doing so, we might empty their toys on the ground and play for a bit. That being said, it will be cleaned up and so will messes made by their food or water before I leave the house as well.

My background has given me the skills to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care for your pets while you're away. I am comfortable administering medications when needed and have experience monitoring pets' health, feeding schedules, water intake, bathroom habits, and overall well-being. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm and relaxed environment, I strive to make them feel comfortable, loved, and stress-free. I enjoy working with animal(s)
About: I've taken care and rescued all sorts of animals from guinea pigs to giant pitties. I have been in rescue for about 9 years. It comes out of pocket, but if I don't save them or help who will? I am also good at medication injection and oral administration of medication as well. I can do walks, check in's, doggy day care, house sit, etc. I will accommodate your needs for your furbaby. I am not afraid of bigger dogs as most people might be. I think of them as giant teddy bears. I will send plenty of updates and pictures as I know leaving your furbaby with a stranger can be absolutely nerve wrecking. Whatever makes my customer happy I will be more than willing to meet their request. Just give me instruction, your furbabies name, any allergies, medications, walk/yard time and frequency, feeding schedule, and any other information you see fit and I guarantee your precious furbaby will find a new friend! I am currently employed part time and in school part time this semster over at Johnson College for Veterinary Nursing. My schedule is pretty packed, but I will make accommodations with you to accommodate the needs of your furbabies or ones with scales. I moved in March of last year so boarding at the new place might be a bit busy. I do have enough room to accommodate at least 3 dogs. I don't have a fenced in yard at my apartment however I love to take them on long walks. I have walked dogs of all sizes. Super tiny to 100+lbs. I also have my own pupper Krypto so if boarding at my home please make sure your dog is other dog friendly as well as cats. I have 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 rat and a goldfish. If you are looking to board in my home I suggest a meet & greet to make sure your furbabies and mine are safe for their stay. I care for my clients furbabies like they are my own. I make sure the furbabies are happy and healthy. I will make sure my clients needs and wants are met. If you need me to watch them at your house, your house will be treated like my home. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
