“Cheri was a wonderful sitter! She filled in last minute when we had another sitter cancel on us, which was very helpful. She was communicative and our girls seemed happy and healthy when we got home. She left our house in great shape. We will definitely contact her again!”

“We left our 9year old Yorkie in the care of Jean. Our sweet little dog has separation anxiety that prevents us from boarding here. Thus the need for a dog sitter who will stay in our home. Jean took great care of both our home and our sweet Eloise.”

“We had a fantastic experience! Our sitter was incredibly patient and understanding with our dog, making the whole process stress-free for us. They sent frequent updates and lots of adorable pictures, which really put our minds at ease while we were away. We truly appreciated the care and attention given to our pup and would absolutely book with them again without hesitation. Highly recommend!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Maria. I have never had a bad experience with any of the walkers, sitters, etc. with Rover but Maria is in a class all her own. She watched my boy, Toby for a week and he was so loved and cared for. She sent pictures of their extended walks, and many of her just loving on him. She took him to her house and introduced him to her cats and it was amazing. I know he was so happy and therefore I never had to worry once about him. I highly recommend her as I will be using her again and again. She is a treasure!!!”

About: My first job out of college was at a doggie daycare, and I still consider it one of the best jobs I ever had! As a kid, I knew the name of every dog in my neighborhood, and as an adult I have pet sitted for friends when they are out of town. I recently fostered four kittens for a month while working on a ranch in Montana. I am not working a traditional job right now, so my schedule is pretty flexible. If I have enough notice, I can usually make it work! I'm an energetic person who needs a daily walk as much as your pup! I'm punctual, reliable, and not afraid to scoop up some poop.

“We couldn't have asked for a better sitter to care for our two very active German Shorthaired Pointers! One of our dogs is especially anxious during storms, and Brianna handled the situation with so much patience and compassion. It was such a relief knowing our pups were not only well-exercised but also emotionally supported while we were away. We came home to a spotless house and two happy, relaxed dogs—no small feat with this energetic duo! We’re incredibly grateful for the care and attention Brianna provided and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommend!”

“Andrew provided incredible care to my pup brutus. He was very proactive with sending updates and pictures, and my dog looked so happy in every one he sent. Could not recommend his sitting services enough!!”

“Adelyn did an excellent job watching out two dogs! She sent me photos and kept a daily journal of how things were going. I definitely trust her in my home and will use her again!”

“Jayla was patient and loving to our dog who for the first day and a half was acting very weird and hiding out in one of the bedrooms. Jayla was very communicative and her concern showed through her texts. Turns out it was the fire alarm beeping because the batteries were dying. Our dog was very happy once the batteries were removed!! Jayla stayed overnight and maintained a spotless house for when we returned. She was respectful and loving toward our pet.”

“Jamie stayed with our boy for a week. We haven’t been away from him in two years He sent multiple pictures each day. We came home to find Mika relaxed and not stressed of going to a boarding facility. Jamie also brought in our garbage cans and mail to give our house a lived in feel when away. Highly recommend and will use him again!”

“Cobie is a dream sitter! She came over for several meet & greets so our shy, nervous dog could warm up to her. As I knew would happen, they became fast friends and Alice had a wonderful week with Cobie. Communication was great and we felt very secure leaving our pup and home in Cobie’s care. Will definitely rebook!”

“Michael is very delightful and gave devoted attention to our dog. Michael followed our dog’s daily details and we had a happy pup when we returned. Michael was very communicative and included photos to us throughout his stay. Five paws given!”

“Alise is fantastic! She was able to settle 2 anxious rescues quickly with her calm demeanor even as a new member to the pack. She was very attentive and caring and gave plenty of updates on the well-being of our dogs in the midst of an unexpected medical issue. Thanks, Alise! Janet and Benny are eagerly awaiting their next sleep over.”

“Danielle is an above and beyond sitter. She was very communicative and cared for my girl like she was her own. She will without a doubt be the first person I call from now on. I can’t endorse her enough!”

About: Hi there! I have over 15 years of professional animal care experience, including 6 years as a zookeeper—so when I say no pet is too big, small, or exotic, I mean it! From house pets like dogs and cats to reptiles, birds, and other exotic animals, I've worked with a wide variety of species and temperaments. Whether your dog needs structured walks, your cat needs a calm and patient sitter, or your parrot thrives on enrichment and routine, I’m fully prepared to provide expert, attentive care. I’m experienced in administering medications (oral, topical, injectable), working with senior and special-needs animals, and understanding subtle animal behavior cues—skills I developed both in private pet care and during my time in zoological settings. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. I’m reliable, communicative, and always happy to send updates, photos, and videos so you can enjoy peace of mind. I look forward to meeting your beloved pets—no matter how furry, feathered, or scaled they may be! As a stay-at-home mom with both of my children now in elementary school, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care throughout the day. I’m home and available seven days a week, so I’m able to maintain a consistent routine for feeding, walks, and playtime. I genuinely enjoy the companionship and find pet care fits naturally into my daily rhythm. Pets are welcome in our house, however they do need to get along well with cats and kids and will need to be crated overnight or when I need to step out. We have a massive fenced in backyard that is perfect for the zoomies.

About: My name is Ellen and I live in Severna Park. Besides being the married mother of 3 young adults , I own an 8 year old lab rescue. I’ve previously owned a beagle, an English bulldog and an American bulldog rescue. I love all dogs. Although I have never owned cats due to family allergy issues, I like them as well. I work full time from home in a professional capacity with a flexible schedule. As my kids have gotten older, I find myself with more free time. I am extremely responsible and reliable. I would love to help you and your pets out as needed. I can walk your dogs, play with them and feed them. I’m happy to do whatever is needed to watch your other pets and your house. You will not be disappointed in having a trustworthy adult to take care of your home and pets. I am a long time teleworker and can work anywhere with wifi. I have flexibility to take breaks to play with and walk your pets. I will treat your pets like my own. I will follow your instructions to the letter. I’ll make sure they are happy and healthy. I’ll keep you updated as requested.

Whitehurst pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jean was wonderful. She took care of our two cats for a week. They can be shy, but in each of the photos they were in heaven! The house looked beautiful and she even cleaned all litter boxes before leaving and changed guest room sheets since i was bring home a son who got sick on trip. As to tip I had two envelopes ready before we left—one with tip and second with money she could treat herself to Door Dash. She is definitely a “cat whisperer “ and we would want only to use her in future. A+++

Michael was great with our dog and two cats while we were out of town. It was very clear to us that everyone was happy and well cared for. We also loved all the pics and updates. We highly recommend Michael and plan to continue using him to help take care of our crew in the future.

Nico did a great job not only looking after our cat, but also house sitting for us as well. Nico was very communicative before, during and after we were away, sending daily photos or videos of our cat, which helped us to know that all was well. Probably the best indication of how it went with Nico was that our cat wasn't anxious or distraught when we got home like he can be after spending time with other cat sitters. He clearly liked Nico and was well cared for, which meant he was mellow and his normal, non-agitated self when we got home. We would definitely hire Nico again!

Abigail did an amazing job house sitting for us for 9 days. We left her with a high energy puppy and an easily stressed out cat. The animals were taken care of impeccably. We received pictures of the pets everyday. The house was spotless when we arrived home. We could not have asked for a better pet sitter and would highly recommend her to anyone!

Nan’s stay with our two dogs and cat was everything I’d ever hoped for in a pet sitter experience. She is a loving, intelligent, down to earth, and just plain pleasant person to be around. One of our dogs is very anxious and Nan won her over so I could not be more pleased!!
