About: I have had many dogs in my life time and I enjoy walking, talking to, caring for and spending time with dogs when I can. I miss my pets but I am not ready to get one of my own. However, I would love to help you care for your pet when you are gone. I am a teacher during the school year. I usually can help you out on the weekend or nights during the school year. During the summer I can help more often in a variety of days and times. My fur babies have all past. When I have helped friends and family take care of their pets I make sure to get to know their fur baby before they need me to care for them. I learn their pet's routines and I try to spend some time with them so they know my sent. This makes it more comfortable for the owner and pet when I am with them.
“Elizabeth did an excellent job taking care of our 6 cats while we were gone for 8 days. She communicated with me each time she came for a visit and provided photos of whichever cats she saw (several usually stayed hidden, but she did see all 6 at one time or another). She also kept me appraised of a couple of instances where she had to make visits outside of the normal visit time frames, due to circumstances beyond her control and she also made sure to leave out extra food when the time between visits would be longer than normal. We would certainly love to have Elizabeth be our pet sitter again, if we have any need for a sitter in the future.”

About: I’m taking a break from work to pass an exam. I now have all day availability and I adore dogs! I have grown up with dogs my entire life and now I have two of my own! I’ve helped out with Lab Rescue and I’m currently looking to help out with BARCS. I love dogs so much and I will treat them as part of my family! I have all day availability 8am through 10 pm. I’m very flexible and willing to work together to do what I can to make anything work! I will follow anything asked! If there are specific harnesses used, your dog is muzzle trained, etc.. I am willing to learn whatever I need to to keep your pet and everyone safe.

That includes feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, and any medications or special care they may need. I make sure to keep your home tidy and treat it with the same respect I would my own.
“Jaime is a wonderful, caring pet sitter! We really believe she is a cat whisperer! Not just because she is so attentive to our 3 rescue cats, but we were amazed our cat Fearless who suffers from PTSD actually came out (he usually hides from everyone) and she was able to pet him and give him pet treats! Even our skittish cat Rudy let her pet him. Our siamese Louie, who loves everybody, languished in her attention. The pictures we recieved from Jaimee while she did her drop ins and her texts and communications with us made us feel happy and relaxed that we left our boys in good hands and could enjoy our time away. But the response our kitties had towards her truly amazed us. She really has a way with cats for sure! This was our first time using Rover and it did not disappoint! If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
