About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something that comes very naturally to me. I recently said goodbye to my own dog after 18 wonderful years together, and that experience deepened my understanding of the love, patience, and attentiveness our dogs deserve at every stage of life. I’m currently offering dog boarding in my home only. I’m not accepting walks or drop-in visits at this time. This allows me to be fully present and create a calm, attentive environment for the dogs in my care. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality, routines, and preferences so they feel as at home as possible. I work from home Monday through Friday, which allows me to be available for your dog’s needs throughout most of the day. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods, and I’m able to provide regular attention, potty breaks, and a calm, consistent presence. My flexible schedule makes it easy to accommodate different routines, whether your dog is active and playful or prefers a slower, more relaxed pace. I provide a calm, safe, and attentive home environment where your dog can truly relax. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, along with a peaceful indoor space designed to keep dogs comfortable and at ease. Since I work from home, I’m able to supervise throughout the day and keep a close eye on each dog’s needs and comfort level. I take time to understand your dog’s routine, temperament, and preferences so they feel secure and at home. I keep my space clean, low-stress, and structured, and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you have, whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, or crate routines if needed. My goal is for your dog to feel as close to home as possible while they’re here.

About: I’ve had animals my entire life and have been involved in animal rescue for the past 10 years. I currently foster with Mountain Pet Rescue and the Asheville Humane Society, and I’ve cared for animals with all kinds of personalities, backgrounds, and needs. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats and I also have experience administering medications. Rescue work has taught me how to be patient with animals who are shy, anxious, energetic, or just need a little extra time and attention. More than anything, I genuinely love being around animals and really enjoy caring for them. When your pet is with me, they’ll be treated like the little prince or princess they are...with lots of love, attention, cuddles, playtime, and care tailored to what makes them happiest. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re being loved and cared for while you’re away. I work remotely from home, so I’m around throughout the day and have a lot of flexibility to give pets the attention they need. I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, meals, medication, and plenty of company throughout the day. Because I’m home most of the time, your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches and I can easily adjust to their normal routine as much as possible. I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, boundaries, feeding schedule, medications, and any quirks or triggers before caring for them. In my home, pets get plenty of supervision, attention, and a calm environment where they can settle in at their own pace. I never force interactions and am very comfortable giving shy or nervous animals the space they need to feel secure. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible and make sure doors, gates, leashes, food, and medications are handled carefully. My years in rescue have made me especially attentive to body language and changes in behavior, so I’m always keeping an eye on how your pet is feeling. And of course, I’m happy to send plenty of photos and updates so you can relax knowing your furbaby is safe, happy, and getting lots of love.

I primarily work as a gigging musician on weekends, so I tend to keep most of my bookings to weekdays. If I’m available for weekend boarding, my husband is also home and helps with pet care, so your pup will still have plenty of company and attention. My Rover calendar will always reflect my current availability! We have a spacious home with plenty of room for pets to relax and play, including a puppy-proofed area where dogs can safely hang out and make themselves at home. We also have a large yard that is currently unfenced, so dogs are always supervised and leashed outside. We’re having a fence installed soon! Our sweet, social Golden Retriever puppy, Daisy, loves other dogs and would be thrilled to welcome a friendly pup for a stay and playdate. We live on a quiet little street that’s great for walks, and I’m also happy to load up the pups for longer adventures at nearby parks, greenways, and trails. I want your dog’s stay to feel as comfortable and familiar as possible, so tell me all about their normal routine: where they sleep, whether they’re crate-trained, feeding schedule, favorite activities, quirks, and anything else that helps them feel at home.
