“Excellent experience. This was our first time using a Rover and from the initial meet and greet with John, we could tell he is a friendly, honest person who is an all around animal lover. He kept us updated throughout his time with our cat, including pictures, and he went above and beyond by leaving a written record of everything that he did each day to care for her. We will definitely be using John again and would recommend him to anyone else looking for a trustworthy person to care for their pets.”
2. Austin S.
“We had newly moved to the area and needed someone close-by to drop in and take care of our cat Kali while we were away for a few days. Austin was quick to respond with any questions regarding the cat care and sent us daily updates and pictures. He took great care of our fur baby and we were very happy!!”
3. Dollie C.
“Dollie was wonderful. We have a senior cat with all kinds of special needs and she took care of him. Would turn to her again when we are away.”
4. Katarina S.
“Katarina was super flexible when I needed pet care on short notice and when I needed to add a pet since our arrangements for our dog fell through last minute. So glad my babies were in good hands over the weekend- thanks Katarina!”
5. Kim P.
“Kim did 3 drop-in visits for me this week, for my cat, Oreo. He is usually very timid when it comes to allowing new people near him. But, on day 3 she was able to have a huge breakthrough and get him to come out from hiding during her visit. He played laser and and actually got near her, which is AMAZING! I was thrilled with this breakthrough she had with him, as he usually isn't very friendly with new people. If you need a pet sitter for your pet that will go above and beyond to ensure they're happy and well cared for, give Kim a try!!! She is definitely a pet whisperer! ?”
6. Joanna C.

About: It can take a lot for any animal to scare me, I’ve grown up around them and I know more often than not they’re more scared than we are, so I just want to offer them some help and attention! I’m fond of all types of dogs, and all type of weather so they’ll always get a walk in! Caring for pets is a great source of joy in my life, and hopefully a full time job! I want to help people and animals in ways I think can matter, so this is apart of my life! I’m can be more of a solitary person when it comes to people, but I love being with animals! So if you need a home sitter you can trust with your baby, I’m your woman! I’m fine with a fenced in yard to play or taking any age of dog on a nice walk!

11. Lindsey W.

“Mandy does a great job with my cats. I made a mistake on my booking and while on vacation she reached out to me. I am so glad that she did otherwise the cats would not had a visit from her for 2 days.”

“Emery is a very lovely person who especially loves animals! She has watched my dog, two cats, and a baby frog while I was away from vacation and work. She has such a good time when she is out with my dog. When my dog sees Emery, my dog gets so excited! My dog can be hard to control at times, but Emery calms my dog down my being very gentle with her. I highly recommend Emery if you are looking for someone to walk your dog. She is also very friendly and communicative and willing to help out any lonely animal have fun!”

16. Roan L.
About: I have grown up with dogs and other animals my entire life living on horse farms including my current home. Dogs are an essential part of my life and caring for them is a joy for me. My own dog, Shamrock, a fourteen year old Jack Russell Terrier is the epitome of my undying care and affection. I raised her from a eight-week old puppy, training her, caring for her, teaching her how to play frisbee, even qualifying her as a service dog. Even at 14, she continues to inspire me with her energy, enthusiasm, and good behavior. All of the Rover guests get along with her (which is not a usual Jack Russell trait). She makes all the guests feel welcome and comfortable even tolerating other dogs sleeping on my bed with me. The Rover dogs I have welcomed in my home all appreciate the hospitality, the fact that the dog can enjoy everything the dog does at home (be it playing ball, running in the fenced in acre, sleeping on the bed, jumping up on the furniture, or if the dog is used to being crated, then feeling secure in its crate). I will always respect whatever the owner requests with respect to their own dogs routine. One of the Rover guest I have enjoyed over the years is a very active German Shorthair Pointer, named Wilson. Wilson requires crating, a very specific feeding schedule, and lots of exercise. Not a problem, I am happy to accommodate him. Spooky, a beloved Husky guest had a variety of eating issues and lots to say, I adored him and am saddened by his loss last year. The little dog pictured in my profile pick, Buddy was a favorite as well- spunky and cuddly. So, be it a huge needy Husky or a tiny Maltese, I enjoy and work with them all and their specific needs. I only take one dog at a time in order to devote the attention necessary and to keep the dogs safe, but if a family has two dogs who live together, I happily will take both. I just don't like to take two dogs from different households because I do not know how they will get along. Your dog will be welcomed, accommodated, and enjoyed while here, I can guarantee that and the reviews validate that. Thank you I work from home and enjoy having the dogs to take care of and provide me with great companionship during the day. I never leave the dogs for longer than a few hours. I live on a farm and have an acre fenced in yard, and a fenced in area in the front of the house for quick runs out in the middle of the night. I play frisbee with my dog and Rover guests and ball if that is the guest dog's preference.
