About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 11 years old, and I’m comfortable with cats and dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. People have called me a “pet whisperer” because I have a calm, patient way of connecting with animals and earning their trust. I’m also physically strong and confident handling large, powerful, and energetic dogs, including dogs who need firm leash control, longer walks, structure, and plenty of activity. Safety, patience, and clear communication are always my priorities. In addition to the Rover Guarantee, I carry my own premium Pet Care/Liability Insurance for your peace of mind. I’m available 7 days a week and have a flexible schedule throughout the day. I can help with morning, afternoon, evening, and late-night care depending on your pet’s needs. Whether you need regular visits, last-minute help, walks, drop-ins, or extended care, I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. I follow each client’s instructions closely and do my best to keep every pet’s routine consistent. I know every animal has their own personality and comfort level, so I take a patient, respectful approach to care. If your pet wants playtime, attention, or companionship, I’m happy to give that. If they are shy, anxious, independent, or simply prefer space, I’m just as comfortable keeping them company from a calm and safe distance. My goal is always to help your pet feel secure, respected, and well cared for.
“Wonderful is the best description. I have three dogs that they cared for at my home, while I was out of town. My oldest dog was treated with the needed TLC she required. The other two are very high energy and were given the attention they demand. I do not hesitate to recommend their services to others! My dogs have been complaining that I had to come home and stop their visits... :)”

“I have to say that We were a little hesitant going into this, after all he is our baby. Not only did John alleviate ANY concerns, but he made us feel very comfortable. I really liked ,AND appreciated the daily notes you left us, as well as the text message check ins? Our pup is usually shy in the beginning, but warmed right up to John almost immediately; now I know why they call you the dog wisperer! John is not only very professional, but amazing with our Animals. I would highly recommend John to any of my family or friends, and will definitely be using his services the next time. Thank you for taking care of my baby like he was own!”

“Kim was wonderful. She took great care of all our dogs for a drop in visit. After the visit she sent us wonderful pictures and a detailed description of the visit. We would 100% recommend her and use her service again. Thank you!!”

“Really took her time to learn my cats’ needs and kept me updated throughout the day. Her medical background made me feel comfortable leaving my cat with her just a week after they had surgery.”
“Noah came to our house and checked on our two dogs three times! He was respectful of our home, and so sweet to them, and took amazing care of them and gave them tons of love and attention. He was on time, in no rush, and fulfilled all of my requests and more. Noah was so friendly and kind—We would 100% have him care for our dogs again!”

“As a first time puppy owner, finding the right person to watch your fur baby is nerve wrecking. Riley was amazing!! She provided in-home daycare for our pup and kept up with his routine. She sent pics and videos of him and he seemed so happy. I’ll definitely be booking her again to watch or furry friend.”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. My childhood cat lived to 22, and I grew up with Golden Retrievers, including helping care for a litter of puppies. I also worked as an assistant manager at a large pet daycare facility and now have two rescue dogs of my own. I’m very active and love walking, so I’m happy to give dogs plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention based on their needs. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine. I work part-time in a flexible office role and can also work remotely, while I am building my real-estate career. That gives me the ability to plan my schedule around walks, drop-ins, feedings, playtime, and staying consistent with each pet’s routine. In my home, pets are treated like family. I have a fenced yard, a large back porch, a walkable neighborhood, and a park nearby for walks and playtime. My two rescue dogs are used to sharing the furniture, so visiting pets will have plenty of comfortable places to relax and feel at home. In a client’s home, I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, playtime, medication instructions, and any house rules—while keeping you updated with photos and messages. As a former college coach and admissions counselor, I have spent most of my career in trusted, responsibility-heavy roles, and I bring that same attentiveness and care to every pet.

I’m currently working full time but I can do anytime after 5 on fridays and anytime on Saturday and Sunday !I am devoted to give the very best pet care there is in the area! In my home, I have four Boston terriers and two cats. The bostons are great pets ! We have a fenced in yard for them to run and play. We also have a pool for them to swim in . They’re spoiled :). The cats are indoor/outdoor cats and are all up to date on shots! We also have two kittens we just adopted :)
“Max was great! We felt at ease knowing our fur babies were in good hands while we were away. He exceeded our expectations and his love for animals is palpable 🥰 we will definitely rebook!”

About: I’ve raised puppies since I was young, til the were seniors. Now, we just have one dog and four cats. We love animals, pet sitting, walking, and caring for others gives us a way to do so. My son Kingston, is jumping in this summer to help, he is home from college. I am a SAHM, it’s easy for me to fit your loved ones into my schedule! I’m always on the go which means, I can make a lot of different times work. My son Kingston is home from college, and will be available to help giving us more availability. Long walks, our road is over a mile long, following instructions left for me, I would want that done for me, so I would obviously respect that. You know what’s best for you baby
“Lindsey was awesome! She stopped by a day prior to meet my feisty pet that doesn’t really let anyone touch her. The next day Lindsey started her shifts and my dog acted like she knew Lindsey from before! Awesome person. Will definitely use her services again!”

About: I've had a lot of dogs to watch! Every variety of sizes, ages, and breeds. With me, there will never be a dull time! I enjoy playing with them and taking walks with them. I adore getting a pup cup and taking them for vehicle rides! (Of course, if they are permitted to have it). I just want to make them happy because that's how happy they make me! I have a flexible schedule and work mostly from home. I’ll be coming to your home, so your pup gets to stay comfortable in their own environment. I’m usually around during the day, and if I ever need to step out, it’s only for a couple of hours at most. On weekends, I’m fully available and can give your pet plenty of love, walks, and attention. If you have a specific schedule or needs, just let me know in advance, I’m happy to accommodate! I make sure they stick to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I’ll come by as often as needed for walks, playtime, feeding, and any extra care your pet requires. I love spending time with them, whether that’s a walk around the neighborhood, playtime with their favorite toy, or just giving them attention and cuddles. I always keep you updated with messages and pictures so you know your furry friend is happy and cared for while you’re away.
“Shaelin was awesome. She watched my 2 cats for the week of Christmas. She communicated well throughout the week and I came home to 2 happy cats. Would definitely use her again”

About: Home Environment I live in a spacious house featuring a securely fenced back yard, providing a safe and comfortable environment for pets to play and relax. My Chihuahua, who is notably sociable and friendly, enjoys interacting with other dogs, cats, and people alike. Resident Pets In addition to my Chihuahua, I share my home with two cats that I rescued from the local animal shelter. Both cats are well-adjusted and accustomed to living with dogs. Typically, after a brief introduction consisting of a few sniffs and perhaps a hiss, they are able to coexist peacefully with other cats. Experience and Availability Since retiring from the Army, I am available around the clock to care for your beloved pet. With more than 26 years of experience in owning and caring for both dogs and cats, I am well-versed in understanding and meeting their unique needs. Commitment to Care I promise to care for your pet as if it were my own, ensuring its safety, comfort, and happiness. Every animal entrusted to me is treated as an extended and respected member of my household. I am a retired Army veteran and parent of a Chihuahua and 2 cats. I am available around the clock to take care of your fur baby as a respected member of my household. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly Chihuahua to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed. My cats ignore dogs that don't want to play. If your dog dislikes cats, I am able to separate their living areas while your dog is on-site.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was in high school. I have friends and neighbors that rely on me to take care of their pets. I've also taken care of animals other then cats and dogs. I've done rabbits and Guinea pigs. I feed, give baths, give medications and walks. I can currently do this full time. If you ask me to do a 24 hour stay. I am available for that as well. I just need to know at least 4 days ahead of time. My SO travels for work. And I would need to fit my dog into that schedule. Just know I will have other pets to take care while staying at your home. And will not be there 24/7. I will be staying at your house on my breaks and overnight if requested. We do not have a fenced in backyard. But we do take him on several walks a day. Regardless of the weather. He is unbothered by it.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Hill
Carly continues to go above and beyond, whether it's a drop by visit or a house sitting. She is kind & considerate, compassionate & caring with the pets, has integrity and always leaves the house clean. I highly recommend her as a sitter for your critters, whatever they may be.

Jaime is a wonderful, caring pet sitter! We really believe she is a cat whisperer! Not just because she is so attentive to our 3 rescue cats, but we were amazed our cat Fearless who suffers from PTSD actually came out (he usually hides from everyone) and she was able to pet him and give him pet treats! Even our skittish cat Rudy let her pet him. Our siamese Louie, who loves everybody, languished in her attention. The pictures we recieved from Jaimee while she did her drop ins and her texts and communications with us made us feel happy and relaxed that we left our boys in good hands and could enjoy our time away. But the response our kitties had towards her truly amazed us. She really has a way with cats for sure! This was our first time using Rover and it did not disappoint! We have found our pet sitter, Jaime and have started to plan our next trip. Thank you Rover and we are so grateful for Jaime!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
