About: I love dogs and cats too, I got into dog - sitting when I first moved to Georgia and my neighbor went out of town I watched her dog while she was gone and have been dog sitting ever since. I love going out and walking dogs and playing with dogs. I make sure they feel like they are loved and with their owners when I watch animals I love making them even little treats and dinners. Also if you have specific thing your animal eats then you can count on me to make sure they have a good healthy meal, I also am good about giving them their medication. I understand how people love for their animals as if they were their children and I totally get it. You worry about them and want to make sure they are taken care of well. I myself even hate the thought of my animal being alone for over a long period of time because of work or school.

This was my first Rover experience plus my dog’s first daycare experience and I was so nervous at first. Heather and her family took the absolute BEST care of my little guy! Multiple walks a day, slow & controlled introductions to new dogs, off leash freedom in their backyard wonderland and plenty of pictures and updates throughout! Thank you so so much! I’d absolutely recommend Heather to anyone needing a family that truly cares and puts extra importance on your dogs safety and comfort level.

About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for friends and families.I have a great love for caring for and nurturing all animals. I have the largest breed and the smallest breed living with me and I love all the I between too! ❤ My babies are my routine. I work from home mostly. If I am in the office it is typically weekends. If this is the case and I have your baby my son would then take care of them until I get home. I have a fenced in yard and I have custom built-in kennels as well. They will be treated like part of my family. I will take amazing care of your babies.

About: I have had several different kinds of dogs since I was 5 and have raised several Boxer puppies from birth. I have also taken care of several senior or sick dogs, so I am comfortable taking care of more hands on animals! Happy to run around with your pet, or be a lazy couch potato with them—whatever their heart desires! I am free throughout the summer and would be happy to work with your pet! I am adaptable and flexible based on your pet's needs and routines. I have one medium sized miniature schnauzer who is full of energy and loves to play with other animals. I also have a large fenced in backyard to let dogs out to play/relieve themselves. I keep a clean and tidy home that your animal will feel comfortable and safe in!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have raised them from playful puppies through old age. About 10 years ago, while working as a nanny, I also cared for two energetic husky mixes — from daily walks and playtime to feeding and snuggles. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from the patience and training puppies need to the gentle care older dogs deserve. No matter their age or personality, I’ll love and treat your dog like my own. I work from home, so I’m available Monday–Friday from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. During the day, I usually take 2–3 ten-minute walks and also have time for play in my fenced-in backyard or plenty of cuddle breaks inside. On weekends, I offer boarding with drop-offs anytime after 8 AM on Fridays and pick-ups through 5:30 PM on Mondays. I have a fully fenced-in backyard with 6-foot privacy fencing and gates set up to keep dogs out of anything unsafe. Since I work from home upstairs, dogs will be gated with me so I can always keep an eye on them. If you have an older pup who shouldn’t do stairs, just let me know and I’ll happily adjust to work downstairs with them. On weekends, any errands I run are kept under 2 hours, and I can crate your dog if that makes you more comfortable. I also love sending picture and video updates so you can see how much fun your pup is having while you’re away!

Brenda is wonderful! We had to book a last minute daycare for the week due to construction in our home. Chewie walked right into her house each day like it was his second home. He had friends to play with and came home wonderfully tired every night. Definitely is our new favorite dog sitter!

Victor and his wife Ana are fantastic! My dog Zero comes home from doggy day care completely exhausted and happy, he gets to play so hard in their backyard! They have such a nice space for the dogs to play in and from the moment I drove up and saw Victor's dog training van i was comfortable, he took great care of my dog. Can't wait to bring Zero back to them!!

I’m so grateful we found Richard! Our Sheepadoodle had started becoming a bit of a homebody—increasingly antisocial with other dogs, extra clingy with our family, and just overall board of his same surroundings. We’re knew he needed more socialization, but after a bad boarding experience elsewhere, I was hesitant about trying boarding or daycare again. From the moment we met Richard, his calm, easygoing demeanor immediately put both us and our fog at ease. Lately, our dog has been barking at strangers and usually takes a while to warm up to new people. This time was completely different. He settled right in, felt comfortable at Richard’s home, and genuinely seemed to have a wonderful time. This has been the best experience for us and our dog. Richard has a gift for what he does.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Whistleville commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,284 sitters in Whistleville, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
