About: I’m a dedicated 21 year old dog lover who currently cares for two rescued female puppies. They are friendly and fixed :) Raising young shelter dogs has given me hands-on experience with puppy routines, socialization, basic training, exercise, and lots of patience. I understand the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for pets. Growing up, I also owned a Chihuahua and spent time dog walking for others ever since I was a kid, which helped me learn how to work with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with active puppies, shy dogs, and dogs that need extra attention and reassurance. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply a caring companion while you're away, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I currently work part-time as a delivery driver, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to stay close to home throughout the day. Because of that, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I care for my own two young dogs every day, so pet care is already a major part of my routine. When I'm not working, I spend time walking, training, playing with, and caring for them. My flexible schedule allows me to adjust my day around the needs of the pets in my care and make sure they receive the attention, supervision, and affection they deserve. Safety is my top priority when caring for pets. In my home, dogs have access to a large, securely fenced yard where they can play, exercise, and explore safely under supervision. I also have a large crate available for dogs who are crate-trained or need a quiet place to relax. If a dog needs their own space, I can separate them using a dog gate and provide a comfortable area in my home where they can rest safely. I always monitor interactions between pets and make sure each dog is comfortable and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and caring environment where every pet feels at home.
“Savannah exceeded our expectations. Our 3 puppies were so happy with her and fell in love. I got to come home to my puppies who had no anxiety. Can’t wait for her to hang out with them again!”

About: I always been around animals since I was little, either it been my friends, neighbors, or strays. But every animal would get love and care from me. I only owned a pet for a day due to family issues but always wished I could have pets of my own. I am currently available part time, for me and brother share a car for work. I am also restarting school so I am able to work with the owners on a scedule. When ever I go to my friends house, I always make sure I follow the rules my friends have for the pets. I show them love and care and spend time with them while I am at the friends house.
“Our pup, Tilly, was happy with Jess and so are we. He took her for her walks and the neighbors who ran into him and Tilly said that he was great. Upon our return, the house was neat and clean. Can't get much better. Will definitely use Jess again.”

About: I have taken care of senior dogs who require medicine doses and health monitoring. I have also cared for very young puppies and kittens who have needed to be bottle fed. I foster kittens a lot and it truly is so rewarding to see them grow healthy and enjoy life. I have had pets at my home and I have house sat and kept an eye on pets. I just graduated high school May 2026 so I have a lot of free time. I wake up early in the morning and just do tasks around the house. I am home full time right now. I have siblings but more importantly one 9 year old brother who is gentle with animals and understands how they should be treated. I have a lot of free time on my hands and i am very flexible so any routine a pet already has at your home can also be matched with me. I also am able to drive. Our backyard is fenced and we do not have any permanent pets in the home right now. We do sometimes have foster pups or kittens which are kept in a bedroom that has a code lock on it so they can be nursed to good health in peace.
“Kat is amazing. She truly cares for the animals she watches. We have a 2yo golden retriever (very energetic and pushes boundaries). Kat worked so well with her! She trained Ellie while also showing her lots of love and affection. We are so grateful to have found someone we can trust with our girl. Thank you, Kat!”

“Kharlee is fantastic! Kharlee dogsat for my 3 while I was gone on a trip and stayed with them at my home. This was my first time using a dog sitter and It was exactly what I was looking for - and I just came home to 3 very happy and safe puppers. Kharlee was awesome with communication and sending pictures and updates. She also made a point to do multiple meet and greets with my pups to make sure they would be comfortable with her. “Hilda was a dream come true for us & most importantly for Jack Jack, our Great Dane / German Shepherd mix. It was our first time using Rover, and she eased all of our nerves and concerns with immediate responses, pictures and videos of Jack and his progress. She not only took care of our dog, she improved his demeanor, behavior, and his reactivity. He is a much calmer and more confident dog because of Hilda. I know he misses her so much since we've returned home. When we got home, our house was clean, and his energy was so calm. We THANK YOU Hilda for loving our boy like he was your own, and taking the time to bond with him, and walk him and train him. We are so impressed with the care and attention you gave him, and hope you'll consider booking with us again the next time we need to leave town. You will not regret booking with Hilda - she is amazing! I trust her completely with the care of our dogs and our home - you will be in great capable hands with Hilda.”

“Amazing help for a last min booking! June is a wonderful human who will love your pet as much or MORE than you do. She’s very knowledgeable in training and responsive to care instructions. Our go-to in SoCal. ?”

FAQs for House Sitting - Wheeler Ridge
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 225 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wheeler Ridge. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wheeler Ridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wheeler Ridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wheeler Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
