About: I have grown up being surrounded by dogs! My dad always had dogs in our home. I raised my pitbull/lab mixed breed dog Nala from when I was the age of Ten until she passed away when I was 21 years old. She taught me a lot about being a pet owner as well as a person! She was my best friend🤍 I am a very active, responsible, and empathetic person! I enjoy being outdoors going on long walks, hikes, and runs! I’m always down for a furry friend to tag along :) My current work schedule is 6am to 6pm Sunday through Tuesday :) I am available throughout the week on my days off for some pet care! I am respectful of other spaces! I like to stay occupied and am willing to go on adventures with your fur baby! I am full of love to give for animals. My full time job is caregiving so I’m the kind of person to place others needs before my own, but I do prioritize my health so I’m always in tip top shape for whoever/whatever needs my attention!

About: I've lived my whole life around pets, specifically cats and dogs. My family and friends alike all relied on me for pet sitting care which included regular dog walking and extended, overnight stays. I'm currently not working and only going to school. When I do get a job, it will only be part-time and I'll update my schedule accordingly. As of right now, I have ample time for frequent check-in's and overnight stays, especially in Yamhill County. I unfortunately do not offer pet care at my personal home, but am willing to stay overnight at client's homes. I believe in leaving places better than I found them, AKA no trace left behind!
“McKenna was great to work with. We had a meet and greet and it went great. Our cats walked up to her and were very comfortable. One of our cats, Sonya, is very shy and with a couple of visits McKenna had her doing flips in the air with the feather on a string toy and sitting next to her. About: Whether your pup is young and full of energy or on the older, calmer side of life and likes to lounge, I am your woman! I currently provide daily care for my friends 7 year old Shih Tzu mix, as well as my neighbors 4 year old Husky. I would say I definitely understand Dogs more than I do people. I love talking to them, taking them for long walks, playing fetch and teaching them new tricks. I am also a Cat lover! If you have a cat or kitten that needs to be fed, litter box cleaned or just loved on, I am available for that as well. I am a compassionate individual and I find that I connect with animals in a way that can sometimes be unexplainable. I understand animals and how they work, I think humans can learn more for animals (dogs, cats, etc.) if we all paid more attention to what they are trying to teach us. I am a mom of a 7 month old and he is a big animal lover like his mama! I work during the day, but I am at home all night and every weekend. I have a fenced back yard and I live in a single level apartment. We spend our days out in the yard, weather permitting and walking at Minto Brown Park. I like to go by the house rules of where I am sitting. I currently do not have a place where I can bring pets, so I would travel to you and follow any rules and guidelines you have for your fur baby

About: I live in Salem but drive up to Portland several times a week. So If you live in the Portland or Salem area or anywhere in between, I am happy to help you with your pet sitting needs. I grew up with cats, dogs, and chickens. My earliest pet care was at the age of 10 taking care of my neighbors dogs and cats while they were gone. In my adult life, I've had one cat and 4 dogs. My current dog is a Standard Poodle named Percy. He's a huge love! I know your pets are your heart, too. I strive to give your pets my best love and care while you're gone, just like I would want someone to give Percy! I currently work from home, so I can pop in or stay over easily. I would hope that your pet is able to walk with Percy, because he would hate to be left out of the fun. Each pet is unique and will be respected. Grouchy kitty under the bed?? I’ll say hello extra sweet and then leave them be. Tigger-like active puppy? Let’s throw some balls in the yard! The pet that thinks my lap is theirs? Good snuggles and lots of sweet talk, for sure! If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
